Came here to see Moulin Rouge and was a bit surprised by how small the venue felt compared to what I'm used to. We had orchestra seats and they were definitely tight, but the view of the main stage was great. One thing to note: the performers use the sides of the stage quite a bit, and from the left side of the orchestra, I couldn't see the action happening on the stairs, so you do miss a little depending on where you're sitting. I'd say the best place to sit would be in the center of orchestra. Also, toward the second half of the show, it got really warm inside, not sure what happened, but I was definitely feeling hot, so make sure to take off your coat. That said, the stage design and props were incredible and really made the whole production feel grand and immersive. They made use of the whole stage. I was fortunate enough to see Megan the Stallion as the guest performer on her second day there and she was phenomenal wow!! Overall, the main actors were insanely good, Satine's voice is phenomenal. I had a great time and really enjoyed the experience.

We visited the Al Hirschfeld Theatre this week to see Moulin Rouge!, and it was such a fun experience from start to finish. We were especially excited to see Megan Thee Stallion's performance, and spoiler alert: she was fantastic. She was funny, charismatic, and absolutely stunning on stage. The theater itself felt very cozy and comfortable. Even though it was hot in the city that day and the website mentioned it could get a little warm inside during the show, the temperature inside felt great the entire time. It was comfortable and well-managed. The seats were comfortable, the stage design was beautiful, and the lighting throughout the performance was incredible. I especially loved the confetti moment at the end--it was such a fun touch and made the finale feel even more special. Everything felt very well thought out. Also, shoutout to the bartender working that day. She was so sweet, full of energy, and provided excellent customer service. I just wish I remembered her name so I could thank her properly. Overall, a wonderful theater experience.

We came here recently to catch Moulin Rouge on a Saturday night after being able to score some discounted tickets online. The experience and show overall was enjoyable. The theater staff were efficient and friendly. Our orchestra seating was fairly comfortable. The acoustics of the venue were good. The overall production in terms of the event staffing was like a well oiled machine as we were able to get in and out of the venue in an orderly and efficient manner.

Went to see Moulin Rouge! here, and it was great. Go see it before it closes. The Al Hirschfeld Theatre, originally the Martin Beck Theatre, is a Broadway theater at 302 West 45th Street in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan in New York City, New York. Opened in 1924, it was designed by G. Albert Lansburgh in a Moorish and Byzantine style and was constructed for vaudevillian Martin Beck. It has 1,404 seats across two levels. Both the facade and the interior are New York City landmarks. Albert Hirschfeld (June 21, 1903 - January 20, 2003) was an American caricaturist best known for his black-and-white portraits of celebrities and Broadway stars. His artwork is displayed throughout the theatre. In 1943, Hirschfeld married German actress Dolly Haas. They were married for more than 50 years and had a daughter, Nina. Hirschfeld is known for hiding Nina's name, written in capital letters ("NINA"), in most of the drawings he produced after her birth. The number of "NINA"s concealed is shown by the number written to the right of his signature. Happy "Nina" hunting....

This review is SOLELY for the theatre and not the show!! We were seated last row of orchestra and still felt like we were in the front. It's a very intimate space which I love! However, everything else simply fell short. For one, intermission was only 15-20 minutes and because this theatre is so small, you could barely move around and get to bathroom and concessions area. You're better off just staying in your seat. They are also so strange with photos. If you want photos of the stage (which you typically can take at any show before it starts), you will be told to put your phone away. Idk if this had to do with the show specifically but do understand some of us have travelled very far to be here and it's a DREAM for us so we would love to snap a photo before the show begins! Similarly, at the very end, we wanted photos of us in the audience with the stage and they didn't give us a heads up they were closing the stage and turning off lights so I didn't get any photos! Luckily I snapped some of my friends but that made me really sad. I understand you want us all out but if you're not going to let us take pics before the show, at least give us a chance for afterwards. I was really upset with the staff about that. This is a dream come true for me lol so please give me the chance to take photos with my girlfriends!!! ALSO WE HAD TO ASK FOR A PLAYBILL WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOURE NOT JUST HANDING IT OUT

Incredible theater. The stage is beautiful, acoustics excellent. If on the orchestra level , need to be in a row closer than Q to see side stages.

Seeing the original Moulin Rouge in Paris was quite the treat, so it felt only natural to try & check this show out in the states. Nice size theater, good set up & stage, once the show started u get lost in the music & dancing it was very entertaining. Theater itself is a good size, nice old style plus it has a great location since it is a block away from Times Square which makes it very convenient to get there by train. Nice theater & the show was fun to watch.

My 2nd visit to this theatre to see Moulin Rouge... WOW. A fully immersive environment. We sat in Can Can seats and the person who helped us there was very clear and kind. You can use QR codes to order refreshments to your seat. I would definitely get there early and use the restroom so you don't have to try and go at intermission. You'll have a blast here! Also... as of November... This Satine/Christian duo is amazing!!!! Powerhouse voices.

Moulin Rouge! is the one of the best musical show I've ever seen! Very dynamic, great decorations, choreography and voices. Almost 3 hours of a great performance is worth every dollar. Hurry up to see the show, as its final Broadway performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre is scheduled on July 26, 2026.

Saw Jordan Fisher here. One of the greatest decorated sets I've ever seen in my life. The colors in the vibrancy of the show is amazing. We won the lottery so two tickets for $90. We didn't have too bad of a seat. We were in the Mezzanine and we definitely had to sit up a little straight to catch everything. The show flows out into the crowd a bit.

I came to New York for my sisters graduation, and my aunt had surprised me with tickets to see moulin rouge. I never been to the theater before but it was seriously something I will never forget. Our seats were great and the show was amazing !

I came here to see my first Broadway show; Moulin Rouge. Upon arrival, the security check was quick as we were led to our seats once inside. Come a little early to get your photos and use the restroom as this is not allowed once the show starts. Even during intermission, the lines will be long for the restroom so don't drink too much if you don't want to miss anything. The show was entertaining and I loved the incorporation of the modern music. I was the most amazed by the set though, which was executed perfectly. You can tell all the details and work put into this production. But the biggest reason I wanted to watch this was to see Jojo as Satine. It was a once in a lifetime experience to see her perform.

Moulin Rouge has solidified its spot as my fav show of all time! Set design and the theater itself is absolutely beautiful. The show itself is amazing. But what made me come here to leave a 5 star review was the staff. Huge shout out to everyone running the theater. The ushers did a great job of managing the crowd for when the audience was allowed to take pictures and when they weren't allowed. Also the women managing the bathroom were some boss ladies and got us back from intermission on time. The real MVP of the night was Philip. I want to say he was the floor manager or some sort of manager for the theater. He helped me charge by dying phone. If you haven't yet. Get yourself down to the MOULIN ROUGE!

The music is a blend that draws heavily of hip-hop, rap, R&B, soul, pop, and traditional Broadway show tunes. Modernized to 2015 era. Theatre patrons will not fall asleep. Theatre patrons will not be bored. Your ticket price paid is worth the theatrical experience. 3. It is based on the biography Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States who was an instrumental supporter of the U.S. Constitution who fought alongside President George Washington in the Revolutionary War. His work laid the foundation of America whose face is worthy to be depicted on the U.S. $10.00 bill. 4. It depicts history of Hamilton's journey beginning as a Caribbean immigrant rising to America's first Secretary of the Treasury. It is deeply rooted in New York City history. It depicts American history of the opposition fight for independence and creation Independence of United States of America. He is buried in Trinity Church, Financial District, Lower Manhattan, NYC. It also narrates Aaron Burr's rivalry and jealously Hamilton's strong ambition, brilliance, and determination to rise. "Hamilton wrote the other 51!" Running time: about 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 15 minute intermission. I went to the room where it happens. I write this review like I was running out of time. Yesterday is a memory. Today is an opportunity. Tomorrow is not promised. Non-stop. Keep writing! I tell my story of my experience. It was exciting, lively and upbeat which does takes you back in time of Revolutionary America in 18th century period clothing with modern language and modern music. Ticket prices are highly extortionate! Tickets starts $127.00 to $155.00 for upper balcony or standard face-value seats. My rear orchestra center ticket was an astonishing extortionate $228.00! Hamilton, the Broadway musical makes use of the Richard Rodgers Theatre's double-nested rotating stage (turntables) prominently to create a dynamic, continuous movement and cinematic flow. I wish I saw the 2015 original cast Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.). Wait for it. Forward, eleven (11) years later I am now seeing it in 2026. I now have another Playbill and Broadway show ticket to add to my growing Playbill collection. Casting is non-white actors as the Founding Fathers of the United States and other historical figures for inclusion and equality. As per Lin-Manuel Miranda, songwriter, actor, and producer who described Hamilton: "America then, as told by America now." There is no traditional stage curtain for this Broadway show, but it did start and end on time - on point. There are 34 musical numbers total (17 musical numbers in each Act). The narrative is almost entirely sung and rapped through, thus, the numbers flow directly into each other without the traditional pause to segue in-between numbers. There is very little dialogue for spoken word as I would like a mix. There are occasional expletive explicit laden lyrical lines/ verses depicting strong explicit language "goddamnit." This includes uncensored F-word during the indiscretion of Hamilton's affair. "Cabinet Battle #1" & "Cabinet Battle #2" feature insults and harsher colloquial terms as "pain in the ass" and "shit." There are other numbers where expletive explicit laden lyrical embedded are "bastard" and "whore." Surely, my teddy bears speak more eloquently than thee! My predilection for Hamilton musical numbers are: Satisfied Wait For It That Would Be Enough Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story Live with intention. My passions and interests entice me to pursue more to look around. "When everyone who loves me has died" this I can absolutely relate. "Death does not discriminate. It takes and it takes and it takes. I am the one thing in life I can control. I am an original." These versus resonate depth for meaning. Rise Up!

This was a fine experience. I'm not really a Fallon fan but the experience of watching a 'live to…read moretape' recording was pretty interested. We didn't have tickets, so we went to the gift shop at 30 rock through the 6th ave entrance to score some stand-by tickets. We arrived what I would call late, at about 11am. If you want to get these stand-by tickets I'd recommend arriving as close to 8am as you can, because every ticket is numbered and they can only fit so many people into the studio (they will always try to fill it). If I recall correctly the tickets said to come back to 30 rock at 3:15 but note - if you arrive a bit later, say 3:30, it won't effect your chances of getting in - the most you can do to increase your chances to see a show that day by walking in is to get there at 8am when they first start giving out the numbered stand-by tickets. Also, while they say you cant bring in bags, I had a smaller sized north face backpack and my friend had a large plastic bag and a small purse. If your number gets you in to see the show that day, you will pass through security like at an airport. Everything is extremely orderly and organized, the only stressful part is 'am I going to get in to see the show or did I just spend an hour and a half of my day for nothing.' My friend and I just got in under the wire, with the guy behind us being the very last person to stand-by for this day's show (there were about 56 stand-by visitors accepted that day). You will have an opportunity to use a bathroom before you sit for the filming, so don't be concerned about that. If you're a fan of TV or of Fallon you might prepare a question or two to ask him, he took a number of questions from the audience. The funniest one was 'are you going to use that entire bit you just did' because Jimmy and Drew Brees spitting pumpkin seeds went on far, far, FAR too long, about 3? minutes, which was about 2:45 longer than it needed to be. Jimmy was quick with the 'no, that's going to be edited down.'

Come From Away is one of the best shows I've seen on Broadway…read more The show is amazing! 90 minutes of pure entertainment. It's a musical about the 911 flights that had to land in Newfoundland. It hits all the emotions in a short time. I found myself laughing, falling in love with the characters and even felt a tear here and there. There's no intermission, so before you know it the shows over. I paid full price through American Express but when my husband came to join me a week later, we were able to get tickets at the TKS booth in Times Square for $75 a piece ( which was more than half off what I paid the first time!) and for both shows I was able to sit center orchestra 6 rows back. Totally enjoyable both times. The music was great and the actors were even better. I highly recommend this show. If you're in NYC between 1/18 - 2/13/22 check out NYC Broadway Week -they're offering 2 for 1 tickets on some great shows and this is one of them.

About 38 planes and a total of 6,000 passengers from all over the world landed in a small airport called Gander, Newfoundland in Canada. Gander is this tiny town in Canada so the locals there had to quickly figure out how to accommodate all these people. Come From Away tells such a warm - hearted and inspiring story about how the folks in Gander welcomed these travelers into their homes for about 4 days. It's such an emotional yet powerful play about humans helping humans from all over the world . Our lives gets interrupted, but at some point we must continue living no matter how tough things get. Highly recommend going to see this show when in NYC if you are a history kinda person. Had a great time blogging on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 7PM EST. I'd sat in Row J - Seat 116. FYI, no matter where you sit in the theater you'll have an incredible view of the stage. This play was about 100 minutes with no intermission.
