Great authentic food. Well seasoned. Not a hurried place. Sit down and enjoy your meal.

Ordered Uber eats from this place for the first time. I was craving lamb kebabs and found this place in the search. Ordered Lamb ghallaba, Shish kabob and falafel. Everything was well made except for the rice. It was a bit uncooked. Lamb ghallaba had very little meat pieces. Shish kabob and falafel came wrapped in a tortilla kind of wrap. They were pretty good!! Very flavorful and satisfying!! My favorites were the complimentary pita style bread on the side and the garlic dip that came with the dishes. Could not stop eating the bread.

Food is TERRIBLE. Like shockingly bad. We ordered chicken and lamb shawarma to go. It was bland and tasted like it was made days ago. No shawarma seasoning. Just rice and meat and they were both nasty. Somehow everything had this weird taste to it, maybe cardamom? but it was very off putting. Worst shawarma I've ever had.

Stopped by here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They weren't busy, maybe 2 other tables of customers. I sat and was welcomed by the server. I asked about 2 things I was considering, and she recommended one over the other. I got the lamb shawarma, side of mushrooms and the Greek salad. EVERYTHING was delicious!! Including the bread they bring out first. I will definitely go back.

I got an uber eats order from here tonight, first time, and wow!!!! Because I'm in Huntsville I never knew about this place until tonight when it popped up on places still open at 930 pm! Super happy with everything I ordered, can't wait to try new things. Everything is EXTREMELY fresh and flavorful.

Al Shish Palace is the only real Mediterranean place in the area and it is absolutely delicious. They start you off with their homemade bread and garlic sauce to dip in, it's amazing. The bread they cook in this huge oven up front behind the counter. The salads are SO fresh and SO delicious. If I'm wanting something light with chicken it's to die for and the salad dressing is this oil and vinegar based with seasonings so delicious. For the entree I've tried a few different things but my favorite is the chicken or lamb shawarma with hummus and a side of grilled veggies (carrots and peppers most of the time) it's a perfect combination and I love it. The hummus is so creamy like the best hummus I have ever had. The Shish Tawook Classic with Lemon-Oregano is also one of my favorite dishes like if I could get that on a bed of hummus with grilled vegetables my life would be complete (I'm sure they would do it but I hate making special request). Overall this place is delicious. It's in a quaint shopping center and the food is perfect. Service is great too, mostly younger kids as waitstaff but they are so attentive and do a great job. I highly recommend this place!

Fresh veggies. Food Made to order so if you have patience, it'll be awhile for your food to be ready. Though You won't be disappointed. The service staff is Friendly and attentive, everything served with a smile. . What else? Oh yeah, the food tastes great!!! But If you don't like it, then well, more for me. :). First timer, won't be my last time. You know that feeling when your gramma cooks for you, yeah that feeling. That home cooking feeling. I got the shish combo of the lamb beef kebab, and chicken. Everything charred perfectly, the rice was excellent and buttery. The beef chicken and lamb was yummy and flavorful and moist . My wife got the shawarma and she said it was good too. She was most impressed with the sides. The sides: The babaganouj was smooth and smoky. Tasted great with the pita. Oh and get this, the sauces they give with the bread is amaze balls. One garlic and the other is salsa-like but has the right about of heat. When I dipped my pita and mix them together the tastes changed for the better. Oh garlicky and mildly spicy. Good stuff. My Greek salad was coated right with the right slung of dressing and flavored perfectly for me. Veggies fresh. I'm not a fan of tabbouleh because of the parsley but I thought it tasted fresh. But my wife loved it. Overall, when the music is bumpin, it seems like a great place to eat. If you don't like it, then we'll, more for me ;) Plus, it's healthy. I don't feel guilty about eating here compared to other places.

My 4 star rating is a little deceiving - I was a full on 3 stars but my husband insisted on an override to 4. He knows I'm right even when I'm wrong but, in true holiday spirit, I let him have a win. The first thing I noticed when I looked at the menu at Al Shish Palace were the prices. Really high prices. Lucky for me, I spotted a lunch menu and, although it was linnertime (lunch/dinner), the menu was still valid until 4. I ordered the beef shish kabob, shish tawook and a side of hummus. Hubby had the shish kabob. It came with 4 larger cubes of beef, cooked well past the medium that was ordered. The beef was accompanied by quite a bit of tasty rice, one pitiful, although delicious, piece of carrot, a side salad and fresh bread with garlic spread. The beef was tender and seasoned just right. There was enough rice for leftovers and the salad was large enough that we shared mine and I had his for breakfast the next day. (Don't judge, salad for breakfast is totally underrated!) He did enjoy his meal although he would have enjoyed a few more carrots. Here is where our stars failed to cross. I had the shish tawook classic - a marinated grilled chicken kabob. It came with four small chunks of chicken. While the flavor was good, the chicken was dry. It had the same accompaniments as the beef kabob including another pitiful, yet still delicious, carrot. The chicken should have been the star of this meal but was not much more than a disappointment. The side of hummus was large and very good. It was served with several pieces of fresh bread. A perfect match but unfortunately, not nearly enough to scoop up all that chickpea delight. Before I ordered I was told it would take 25-30 minutes. That was fine and I appreciated being told this. And they were right - it took the full 30 minutes. There was only one other customer the entire time I was there - I do wonder how long a meal would take if they were busy. The restaurant itself was small and clean. The bathroom was clean enough and even had several copies of National Geographic - maybe to help while away that 25 minutes? The hummus and fresh bread is definitely impetus to come back and try again. I just need to make sure I get there at linnertime.

Came here for lunch today with some friends shortly after they opened. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought fresh pita bread and a garlic sauce to the table. Make sure you also ask for their complimentary tea. It's delicious! We ordered the veggies and hummus as an appetizer and I ordered the Greek salad with Chicken schwarma. The Greek salad had black olives not Kalmata... which is a fatal error in a Greek salad to me. Otherwise the ingredients were fresh and all the portions were huge. The prices are a little high in my opinion, but I DoD have an entire 2nd meal to take home. I also got an order of the rice pudding for dessert to go. They are currently serving all food with disposable plates and utensils.

This new restaurant in Madison is very, very good. They have a large menu consisting of many different dishes, some of which I've never heard of / are otherwise unavailable in the Huntsville area. I'll be back to try those, but for now, I stuck with old reliable favorites, and I was not disappointed! We ordered for carry out on Saturday evening. We were told it would take 25-30 minutes for our food to be ready, which was accurate -- I stepped inside at around the 27 minute mark and it was ready to go. Service was a little confused / harried but overall very nice. They struggled a bit juggling me and another customer there for pickup along with the phone calls they were getting. They're very new, so I chalk it up to still getting their sea legs. The confusion was made up for by the warmth and kindness I was shown -- one gentleman even walked me out to the entrance and opened the door for me. While I didn't dine in, the restaurant itself looks warm and cozy. It also smelled absolutely amazing, which is a big plus! Prices seem a little high at the start, but once you see portion sizes it starts to make sense! One of my few complaints is I wish there were more options at dinner that cost slightly less for a slightly smaller serving size. For now though, the price is worth it for a special treat. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the combo (lamb and chicken) shawarma plate. Each plate came with our choice of a soup or salad as well as our choice of rice or French fries. We both chose rice and soup; from the soups, we tried chicken vegetable and lentil. We also got a small order of hummus to share. The shawarmas were both delicious. The meats were incredibly tender and for the most part still juicy. Boyfriend said the lamb was the best he'd ever had -- not gamey at all, incredibly flavorful, tender, just delicious. I tried it and couldn't help but agree. Not usually a lamb fan but this stuff was legit. The rice was super fluffy and delicate; the chopped nuts (pretty sure they were pine nuts but not positive) added an amazing depth of flavor and fun crunch. One of the few things we were both lukewarm on was the soup. I think the chicken vegetable just wasn't to our palates; it had a sort of cinnamon-y flavor that we're just not used to. It was packed full of veggies, though, and I'm confident I'd learn to like it if I kept on trying it. The lentil was just okay. I've had better lentil soups at other local places; the flavor and texture was just a little one-note. An addition to our meal was this special garlic spread. Other reviewers raved about it, and I was very excited to try it, but I just didn't like it very much. Super intensely garlicky and for me it was just too much. That's okay though -- it was free and I was happy to try it! Lastly, the hummus -- it was delightful! Very smooth, creamy, and subtle. The small serving was plenty for us on top of the huge meal. One of my favorite things about Al Shish is they did NOT skimp on the pita. Sometimes if you order hummus and pita, you're given a huge glob of hummus and about three thin slices of bread to go with it -- not here. This pita is freshly made, dense and soft and warm, and they are very generous. We actually were able to eat almost all of the hummus before we ran out of pita, which NEVER happens for us. One million points to Al Shish! We will definitely make the drive back out to continue trying dishes. Thanks for an awesome meal!

Fresh bread and garlic olive oil spread. Yum!
