BEWARE OF UNDISCLOSED FEES! The jet ski experience was just fine - 2 jet skis for an hour. They were in good shape, staff onsite were very nice, etc. The problem was we were quoted right at $100 ($99 and some change) for one hour for each. When we got ready to leave, the lowest option for a tip (if paying with a credit card) was 15%. We checked that one (so $30), but today, got our credit card statement, and we were charged $294.94! When I called today, the girl who answered unapologetically told us "Well, there are additional fees AND fuel charges." We absolutely were not told this at any juncture - when we made the reservation, provided our credit card #, before departure, or when checking the 15% tip box. TIPS (pun intended): Ask them to confirm the entire amount before giving them your credit card information, and, bring cash for a tip if you are not inclined to tip 15% on $125'ish per hour jet skis. read more

My family and I had a blast. We rented out x5 Jet Skis. There was barely any boat traffic. One issue was that x2 Jet Skis were limited to 40 while another two had 50. The last showed a speedometer of a random 1000 something miles. Other then that, we had fun. read more

Don' t do any jet skiing with this company! It was three people on our jet skiing 15mins before our overtime, we flipped an fell on the water. Two other boats were nice enough to help out while yet we waited like 20 mins for help from them to come. One of my siblings went back to them to report it but they were so slow to respond for any help! An the owner older white guy was so rude didn't even ask us if we were okay or if anybody was hurt one staff was nice but the owner just cared about his beat up jetski an money. End up charging me 500 because the motor had water in it which I understood but he just wasn't nice about the whole incident. Don't recommend this place at all! I don't get why they ask for tips at the beginning if I haven't experienced on what I'm doing that should be after. 07/20/23 was the date I went so beware of them. read more

We've rented from Alabama Extreme several times. The safety instructions are good and the instructions on how the skis work is informative. The skis seem to be newer and up to date. We feel safe when on their skis. We haven't had any issues even with letting our young adults on the jet skis in the past. Brought my daughter and her college roommate here today as we've had a good experience for the past few years. This is her friend's first time on jet skis and they both had a ball. read more

After everything signed and paid for the 1 hour rental, the kid who checked us in, said "we don't allow swap outs. There was no sign, no notice and when we attempted to get our cash back, he refused. We are locals and not tourist and don't normally do this in our own community. I shutter to think how tourist are treated by this company! Renter beware!!!! read more

Don't use this company!! We chose this one because it was the least expensive and we all had a $10 off coupon. They added "fees" when we got there and wouldn't take our coupons at all. Went from $89 to $140 per person. Staff was rude and unapologetic. One of the jet skis broke down and we had to wait for 25 minutes for them to bring a new one, and didn't get a discount or any extra time. For our most recent trip to Gulf Shores, we went jet skiing and a really wonderful man named Dan helped me along the beach and on and off the Jetski. I have some trouble walking/balancing and he was wonderful. I was so grateful for his help and we had a really good time because of Dan. We will be back! read more

Went out this morning with my parents and a friend of mine for the Jet ski tour. We saw dolphins trailing a boat with in the first 5 minutes of leaving the coast. Hung around the Dolphins for about 20 min or so and the next 70 min we were able cruise around at our leisure and have some fun. Experience was great and Brandon, our guide, was very helpful. Would recommended AEW anytime and will definitely be back when we're in orange beach again. Jet skis worked perfectly without any hiccups. Very smooth and plenty fast. read more

Lots of fun! The guides did a thorough safety briefing and then we were on our way. Took me a while to get the hang of any speed, but 30 mph was plenty exhilarating for us! It would be easier to go faster with one rider; with more than one it's more difficult to keep the center of gravity far enough forward to feel safe above 30 mph (we had three riders). They had a guy out on a waverunner keeping an eye on all of the riders, which was comforting. We had a great time and will be back! TIPS: -Arrive 45 minutes early. -remember a watch or phone (in waterproof case) so you can keep track of time and avoid late fees. -Wear quick drying clothing or a bathing suit; bring a towel for afterwards. -sunglasses and a hat that CANNOT be blown off your head are a plus -SUNSCREEN GALORE! -don't forget to sunscreen the tops of your feet--or even better, wear socks (thin opaque synthetic ones). -Yellowish water indicates shallows; idle out of them or you'll suck sand in the intakes and overheat, ending your fun -Multiple riders: scoot forward as much as possible and lean forward when speeding up to keep your center of gravity low (so the waverunner doesn't head up instead of forward). Avoid tight turns with multiple riders (increased rollover risk). -Max weight: 400 pounds; add it up before you get there! Three 150 pound people would be too much! read more

We ended up finding at least 5 dolphins in Wolf Bay and they even came right up to our jet skis! So much fun! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back if we're in the area again! We went out with Jeremy and Britneigh for the dolphin tour on our last Friday in Gulf Shores, and it was a great experience. We had never ridden jet skis before, and we decided for economy's sake to share one. My wife is a great driver and thrill seeker, but I'm a stick in the mud, so we decided it was best to let her drive, but my dead weight really slowed us down. Britneigh was super patient with us and stayed in easy calling distance the whole time, and they found several dolphins for us to watch without having to troll shrimp boats! Great experience all around, and we'd definitely go back to them if we're ever back in Gulf Shores! They also told us about the free ice cream at the restaurant when we got back, which was a nice way to cool down after two hours of fun in the sun! read more

Orange Beach - Gulf Side Staff was late and unprofessional, we were told to arrive 30 minutes early, and when we did no one was there! Even so, we were told wrongly to park at the Surf N Style, to which the staff told us there they have been very angry with AEW telling customers to use their parking and have been ignoring their requests to not do so. When someone finally arrived exactly when we were supposed to set off on the jet ski; we waited another 30 minutes for them to "test" the jet ski (AKA goof around, smoke a cigarette, and then bring it to us). The boy who brought our jet ski to us decided it was more important to keep a cigarette in his mouth, and have his cigarettes in the dry box of the ski. Didn't bother to clean or dry it out after a massive wave hit it and got water inside after he got his precious cigarettes out. Mistakenly put some valuables in there thinking it would be fine, they were ruined! If you expect to leave valuables with the staff instead of a waterlogged drybox due to staff's cigarette priority, expect them to be unsecured and out in the open. I was a little nervous driving it bc I had a very nerve racking experience years ago on a jet ski out in the gulf (not this company of course), but the staff here at Extreme Watersports really helped ease my nerves. I loved the fact that there is a staff member out in the bay at all times to help you if you're in need. We loved being able to go at our own pace because he allowed us to see so many dolphins! I made a reservation for two jet skis on August 08,2020. On that day there was thunderstorms and my daughter who was going to be a passenger was sick and vomiting. I called to cancel and stated I wanted to reschedule and received no answer. I then left a message. I received A text very late that they could not cancel without the owners approval. They charged the other party in our group for both of our jet skis. I called today to question the charge and the lady answering was incredibly rude, said she could not transfer me or give out name of owner. I had used this company before with no problems but ownership must have changed. Run away! There is several other reputable companies. All the company had to do was reschedule for our safety and the safety of others as one in our party was sick. This company doesn't care about anyone. read more

I don't usually write reviews, and I doubt any other customer will read all of this. However, I just want the company to be able to read this review and never be so irresponsible and sneaky with any of their future customers. My friend wanted to go jet skiing, so we contacted this company and made an appointment. We both wanted one jet ski each, so it ended up costing us each $96 per jet ski. Thats reasonable & I was fine with the price. We arrived and the person to help us arrived very closely to the scheduled time with a vape in his hand. Whatever, do what you please. I'm a teen but maybe a family group wouldn't have appreciated that. Anyways, no big deal. He told us the safety speech and *MADE SURE WE KNEW THAT WE COULD REACH HIM THRU HIS CELL PHONE. (important detail!) He also wanted us to know if we hear the jet ski beep, to CALL HIM because it could be dangerous (overheating and such). He made it very clear for the person not to use the jet ski if it beeped. So we got our jet skis and we were off. My friend, being an inexperienced person on a jet ski (which shouldn't be a problem, it's a place where people rent jet skis for fun...) had ended up getting too close to the shore and got stuck on a shallow part. It was his fault and he was aware of that. No damage done, just stuck and needed some help. He called the person a total of 15 times (no exaggeration), until I had to leave him with ALONE to get help! This took 10 minutes of my precious time. Note that I paid almost $100 for an hour of jet skiing, so time is precious! During this time, my friend heard the jet ski beep, and told this to the woman who came to help him out. She reassured him that it would be okay and the company would look at it after the hour ended. She left and the two of us were alone on the water again. Obviously, he trusted her, but about 5 minutes later, the beeping continued. Being cautious like he was told, he did not use the jet ski. I ONCE AGAIN had to take my time to go ALL the way back to the dock to get help. When I got there, the excuse of all the missed calls was that the ONE PERSON who we could rely on for HELP had dropped his phone in the water!! How irresponsible can you get? Anyways, they gave him a new jet ski and 30 more min to makeup for lost time, which we couldn't even enjoy because it was raining & going even 10-15 mph hurt our faces against the rain so we ended up just going back much earlier than 30 minutes. I'd like to express why I am so upset and disappointed in this company and the way they handled our situation. For one, being irresponsible with a phone is absolutely absurd. If my friend & I had got in an accident with each other, or whatever the case may have been where neither of us could get help, we would've been in SERIOUS danger. Large boats were passing us and my friend was idling in the middle of the marina. I had to LEAVE him TWICE to get help! It outrages me! The lack of safety was shocking. If you are going to charge almost $100 per jet ski for an hour, you need to prioritize your customers and make them feel safe and make them feel like they got their money's worth. I feel like I paid $96 for literally 10-15 minutes of "fun" (if you could even call it that!) The next day, I told my dad what had happened. Being his only daughter, my dad was furious about the clear lack of safety they were exhibiting, & called them. My dad was not with us during our appointment, however I told him everything that happened. The woman said she could give us 10% back (how stingy can you get?) because she could "see us and that we were safe". A FLAT OUT LIE. There is absolutely no view from the dock, there is no way she could see us. Even if she had a view, we were way too far for her to see us... felt like it was a mile. Either way, it was definitely too far for her to see us. Not to mention, when I went to the dock to get help, she HAD TO ASK WHICH DIRECTION my friend was. So you're going to tell me you needed me to guide you to my friend but you claimed you could see us the entire time? It's honestly disgusting how irresponsible and untruthful this company is and the people who run it. Unfortunately my dad was not there to witness this situation, so he had to take her word and did not press the issue further. I personally feel that they knew they could get away with the lack of precaution because my friend and I are teens (18 & 19 years old), and that they could take advantage of our hard earned money wether we enjoyed our experience or not. Perhaps I should've stayed and had a one on one conversation directly to the two people who were in charge of us, but honestly it was so wet and cold because of the rain, all I could think about was a towel and a warm car. I could not be happier with this experience. Growing up in the landlocked Midwest, I had never participated in any kind of water sports. I am also not a speed demon like my husband is. I was extremely nervous, but Catie and Amber were super knowledgeable and helpful, and the tour ended up being the highlight of our vacation! We saw several dolphins throughout the trip, including a family with their new baby. Loved every minute of this experience and will absolutely return on our next trip! read more

100000% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. the staff was EXTREMELY UNINFORMATIVE about how you should go about driving a jet ski & they also instructed me to put my belongings into a "dry box" that did not work, & because we weren't properly taught how to drive the jet ski, we flipped & i lost my cell phone, id, and my car keys due to this "dry box" that did not latch. on top of this, while i was on the phone with my mom explaining that the staff didn't inform me of the large dry box on the front of the jet ski i heard one of the employees laugh in the background and say "haha that sounds like your f****** problem" we were stuck there for hours but, luckily the wonderful staff at Oso's restaurant helped me out! if you wanna visit any business at bear point marina, let it be the restaurant!!! **** LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I BROUGHT MY CELL PHONE ONLY BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEES SAID WE NEEDED TO BRING AT LEAST ONE CELL PHONE. & lets just say i took my keys with me also bc i expected them to be protected & i didn't have the most faith in leaving my keys up there for anyone to grab! read more

Provided great experience. The wave runners were new, well maintained and ran fast. Up to 3 people per waverunner made it pretty cost effective. 90 min provided plenty of time to ride independently, hot dog and swim a little. There were tons of dolphin in the bay following small shrimping vessels. Our girls 6 yrs and 8 years had a blast. David and Will were great. Bear Point marina is tucked away in a neighborhood and was a great location. This trip was only in the bay not out in the "big water". read more
