Amazing food service and value!! This place was everything you want in a nice Mediterranean food spot. Pita and hummus was on point and spinach frittadas were delicious. I like reviews but I hate when people exaggerate the truth! I was hyped for the visit to Aladdin Mediterranean Grill! If you read my reviews I try to be fair! So after seeing the Uber rating and the Yelp rating, I would give them a try! I ordered a Gyro, being from Chicago I know and understand a real gyro! I ended up with some kind of reconstituted gyro meat(6oz), some romaine lettuce and a couple onion slivers! My review don't do it! You have money to waste give it to charity! This place will make you angry on food presentation alone! Second thing we ordered was a Greek salad and I add gyro meat! So 24.00 later and a salad with french dressing on it! Let the buyer beware! Meanwhile I know they have to have a clientele that likes mediocre and subpar food! Personally they should revamp the menu and learn what they are serving! I used to come here all the time before Covid and I came today to enjoy a nice meal. The food was good until I saw a piece of meat that was still raw in the middle then I lost my appetite and couldn't finish my plate. They need to make sure that the meat is done before they serve it and make someone sick. The Cardamom Nazi. I was excited to return to one of my favorite restaurants. From the time we sat down, I found the waitress with blond hair & British accent (Fiona?) to be very rude. When my glass of Lebanese tea was empty she started to fill it with plain sweet tea. I reminded her that I was drinking Lebanese tea and she replied "Lebanese tea is the same thing with rose water and pine nuts. You've already had yours" I'm not sure I understood her point. But she hurried off before I could say anything else. At the end of the meal I ordered some Turkish coffee. I asked for a couple of extra cups because a couple of my guests had never tasted it. When she brought it out there was one (1) cardamom seed in my cup. None for my guests. I asked for more but she refused, saying I would have to pay extra. At first I thought she was kidding. But when I asked again, she adamantly said no! REALLY?! Cardamom seeds are not expensive. So I can only believe she was doing this out of spite. I considered asking to speak to the manager. But I did not want to make a scene over a few cardamom seeds. When she handed me the check she said "I didn't charge you for the cardamom seed", as if they normally charge customers for cardamom seeds. She did charge me for the coffee. So she didn't simply misspeak. Perhaps she was tired, stressed, or just having a bad day. Regardless, she needs to either treat customers like customers or find a new profession. read more

Food - across the family, we tried Kabobs and Shawarma, with a variety of beef, chicken and lamb for main course. The meats were all tender and nicely served with salad and humus. We tried the coffee and some deserts .. very tasty. Prices are reasonable. 2. Location - small, intimate and the decor has some Med flavor. Service - attentive and courteous. The only place I'd eat lamb! We started off with fried goat cheese. I enjoy the slightly chewy, almost rubbery texture of the cheese. Was completely shocked on how good the food was!! I did have high expectations, but the food went high & above them for sure!!! The hummus was absolutely delicious & enough pita bread to enjoy it with. The falafel was super good as well, considering I usually do not enjoy falafels, but this one was super good (and the sauce alongside it as well)!! I took my mom here to break her out of the habit of going to the same restaurants all the time. She is not very adventurous on her own. I was a bit skeptical if Jackson had any good Mediterranean but I was quite pleasantly surprised! We started with the Aladdin Special, a sampler platter with hummus, baba ganuj, Lebna, grape leaves, tabouli, falafel and kibby. The hummus was well seasoned, although not a smooth as I would have preferred. The Baba Ganuj was not bad but not memorable either. The Lebna was very good. The grape leaves were a little over cooked but not bad. The kibby was also very good. It was my first time trying it so I don't know what it was supposed to taste like but I liked it. The star of the sampler platter, though, were the falafel! Those were some of the best I have had. Very well seasoned, cooked perfectly. For main courses, my mom had the Lamb Chops and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned! I had the chicken shawarma with a side of hot sauce (can't remember what it was called) but it was VERY spicy and the flavor went well with the chicken. Although the chicken was seasoned well, it was a bit overcooked and somewhat dry. To end it, we tried one of the "blendies" drinks made with strawberry on top and avocado?!?! on the bottom. It was surprisingly tasty but I would have liked it to be a bit colder as the strawberry section was colder than the avocado. Once I mixed them together, the temperature was more to my preference and I enjoyed it. Overall, a great first experience with Greek food in Jackson. I will definitely be back! read more

FINALLY got receipt from GH after I reinforced I couldn't access from my account. Bouncing back & forth between GH & restaurant just to ensure others not surprised in future.
