Why didnt i get here earlier? I am livid with myself that i have been ignoring the 10 mins walk for so long. Finally went here and wow it is good. Well, now i have another reason to come to office. Ordered the chicken kabab meal and boy the chicken was juicy. It was grilled fresh however it did come out of the refrigerator so initially i was a bit skeptical. The hummus was another gem. Now i want to try their babaghanoush and the falafel. judging( yeah totally) by the taste of the hummus and sure the other stuff is going to be great. It is a rarity that the stuff feels so fresh and tastes so good and different from the most places.

The reviews of this restaurant are accurate! I finally got around to visiting Alladin today and my boyfriend and we are so glad we did! Excellent value and really tasty food! My guy got a chicken shwarma sandwich and I got the falafel sandwich. His was absolutely loaded with meat, and the style of bread really holds up with all those filings (meat, pickles, lto). I had never tried this Iraqi style bread before and I think it's pretty much perfect for sandwiches (hearty on the outside but not tough to bite into, soft and airy on the inside). As for my falafel, they were warm and had a nice crispy texture when I bit into them (topped with amba sauce, pickles, lettuce and onions). This was some of the best falafel I have had in a while. We ordered a side of hummus too, which was pretty good, but should have ordered something to dip in it (bread or chips perhaps) - it didn't come with any, but that's our mistake. So glad to have more than one option for Middle Eastern food on this side of the city! We will definitely be trying more things from this menu in the future.

the portion is really good for the price, i was pleasantly surprised. there is a lot of extra bread on the ends which isn't too fun but the taste was wonderful. the chicken was well cooked and tasty, but i wasn't gooped with the sauce. definitely worth it, although not my fav in worcester

Let's get one thing out of the way, Aladdin's has the best falafel in Worcester. The storefront small and unassuming aside from the brilliant blue awning above it. Inside, visually it's much the same thing, a small space with a few few tables and chairs and a counter to order at. On the olfactory side of things, the interior is a much more stimulating place. First thing you smell is the fresh baked samoon bread, mingled with the smell of middle eastern spices. The menu is very basic, you can have falafel, shwarma, kebabs or a burger and fries. The falafel sandwich is where it's at, and yes it's a sandwich, no pita in sight. The restaurant sticks to it's Iraqi roots and serves the falafel and all it's delicious and fresh trimmings(picked veggies and peppers, letuce and tomato and smokey hot sauce) in delicious, fresh baked samoon bread. The bread is soft and pillowy and perfectly baked, unlike the reheated pita's, which end up chewy and tough, that most middle eastern places serve their falafels in. The falafels are perfectly seasoned and cooked, no dry and crumbly cakes of flavorless chickpeas here, and they have a soft and moist interior around a thin crispy crust. At $3 for the falafel sandwich, Aladdin's punches way above it's weight when it comes to bang for the buck in middle eastern food in Worcester. The staff are friendly and were happy to explain to me all the menu items and the nuances of the Iraqi versions of the dishes that they serve. Go, go now and go often, if you love good food at screaming good prices you can't go wrong.

All street parking and we had to circle around to find a spot so plan ahead. We got a red wine and the flawless victory cocktail. I got to try a couple wines before committing to a glass. My partner loved his cocktail. Super well balanced and really unique combo of flavors. Both drinks paired well with all our food too. Zucchini pancakes (2/5) - the only miss. The pancakes were not crispy at all and ate very mushy. The carrot curry was delish but all the flavors together with the raita didn't really do it for me. White bean hummus (4/5) - amazing flavor and the little sesame ring it comes with was yummy. The texture of the hummus could have been smoother though. Sugar snaps (5/5) - perfect sweet and salty balance and really great texture from the quinoa. Good creaminess too. Octopus souvlaki (5/5) - well charred octopus and tender. The flavors were rich in flavor. Yellow split pea was a nice creamy base. Revani snack cake (5/5) - we almost didn't get dessert but glad we did! It a citrus pound cake with a pineapple glaze and a spiced macadamia crunchy topping. Served chilled. Very yummy and not too heavy. Overall very happy we tried this place. It's pricey for what you get but nice for a special occasion.

The menu changes often, which makes me wish I lived closer so I could visit regularly. We ordered quite a few dishes, and the portions were perfect for sharing. The fresh bread was an amazing start to the meal, and the sugar snap peas were a standout. Since the menu is always evolving, my recommendation is to ask your server what the chef is most excited about and order it. You really can't go wrong. This was a memorable dining experience, and I hope my next visit won't be too far away.

It is intentional. The food, the market, the people, the energy of the place all make it worth the trip every single time. The flavors here are deeply rooted in the Middle East and the Mediterranean, and you can taste that authenticity in every bite. The hummus is silky and perfectly balanced with tahini and lemon. The baba ganoush carries real smoky depth. The chicken kebabs are juicy and seasoned all the way through. The shawarma is warm, aromatic, and layered with spice. The falafel is crisp outside, vibrant and herbaceous inside. My personal favorite is the Iraqi Chicken Sandwich. It is absolutely phenomenal. The chicken is tender, boldly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Every bite is balanced and satisfying. It is the kind of sandwich that stays on your mind long after you leave. Everything is halal and incredibly fresh. The place is always busy, which tells you everything. The food turns over quickly. The products in the market turn over quickly. There are always people picking up takeout and others shopping the shelves. And the market itself is a treasure. Authentic meats, cheeses, sausages, dairy products, dry goods, teas, dried beans, spices, specialty ingredients and more, all reflecting the flavors of the Middle East and the Mediterranean. These are items you simply will not find in conventional grocery stores. If you love to cook, you will walk out inspired. If you have never been before, do not be intimidated. Walk in. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. There is space to sit and enjoy your meal, and they do a huge takeout business as well. Dunya is easily one of the best places in Waterbury and the surrounding areas. Authentic flavor. Unique products. Warm hospitality. I highly recommend it.

We were told - VERY STERNLY - that we needed to wait until EVERYONE was present in order to be seated, and until then, we needed to stand outside.
