Great spot! Fair prices and friendly help. Food is awesome. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

I find the best way to rate the place sometimes it's not only by food, service, and atmosphere but in comparison to others. And compared to chipotle or Quesada there is a night and day difference. I very much enjoyed this. Cheers!

This location in Shrewsbury had recently opened. Located right next to IHOP. I'm usually pretty hesitant trying new restaurants right when they first open since some places, staff is very inexperienced. But not here. During the time I've visited, they were fairly busy of course and the staff was well very put together. I was really impressed at how calm they were to handling crowds. They knew exactly what to do like they've been working there for awhile now. I had about 5-6 others ahead of me and the lines moved fairly quick. My meal was great--the flavors remain consistent with other Halal Guys I've had at other locations. I've had the chicken and rice many times but this time decided to go with the chicken "sandwich". Chicken was very moist with loads of flavor. It was very messy but definitely still hit the spot. Decided to also try fries and they were great--took a bit but they were fresh right out of the fryer. Overall, a very pleasant visit and food was surely enjoyable.

Pretty good! I lived in NYC for a while and have had them a bunch of times so I already knew what I'd be getting. I came here on the opening day for lunch and it was very busy but the service was still fast and the place was really clean. What I ordered: the falafel platter - It was really good, but the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because about almost half the platter was salad. Normally when I get them, the salad is only about 1/3 to 1/4 of a plate. I also added onion, peppers, and hummus to to my platter. The hummus was great and all of the vegetables were fresh. I then got extra white sauce on the side and a few hot sauce packets. The hot sauce is very hot, just fyi. I ordered the fries, they were okay, I think they had been sitting for a little bit as they were not very hot. I also got the passionfruit lemonade, which comes in 1 size only but really, really good. I ended up buying a second one. Prices here are decent, staff is quick & friendly, and the food is great! Will be back. P.s. they do not have lamb.

We have been waiting patiently for months for Halal guys to come to Shrewsbury and the wait was so worth it!!! We went to the grand opening Saturday like many others and waited in the line for about 30 minutes to get our halal guys fix! Of course it was delicious! I get the chicken platter and my boyfriend does the combo platter. Everyone working was so friendly and attentive! I loved the building and the wall art, I would enjoy dining in here too!

Food: It's my first trying halal and oh man this was so filling and delicious! I had the chicken and beef which both were tender and flavorful without the sauce. I got the regular which is actually a lot more than I anticipated. It's well balance with the vegetables and to top it with white sauce made this so good. I recommend trying this for any first timer that likes something of chipotle, moes, and more. Service: The staff were great, made sure I had everything on my food. And it was ready when I picked it up Ambiance: it's super clean and there's plenty of seats to enjoy lunch in Location accommodation: limited parking at the front, but there's more parking on the side and back around as it's locating in the white city plaza

There was a lot to love about this simple meal - done right. I ordered the beef and chicken rice plate. I can't speak to the ambience as I ordered this to go but the order was ready for pick up pretty quickly and it was very warm. Still when I got it, it comes with the delicious white sauce and their hot sauce which is super spicy the meats were well seasoned, and the vegetables tasted fresh, I will say their pita bread is just OK but if you eat it alongside the meat and veggies with the sauce, it tasted fine. I'm glad there is a location near Worcester. As a customer I was content.

It was one of our family favorite local places to eat, but not anymore. Today my mom ordered platter with beef but got falafels instead, she was too shy to ask for exchange and walked away, so I came back there with a platter and asked to get just a beef on a side instead of falafels because my mom doesn't eat falafels and I was asked to pay $4.25 extra for it. Absolutely not customer friendly place and unfortunately not in our favorite list anymore. It was so good when it's just opened, idk what happened with this place:(((

I ordered to go from Grub Hub. My bf got a beer gyro. I ordered a chicken platter with extra white sauce since I typically love white sauce and the photos show tiny packets of it. I also ordered a baklava cheesecake. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal and said he'd order from their again. Which, is huge for him because he normally doesn't care for middle eastern food. I had the chicken platter and my dish was nothing special. I've had better. The chicken wasn't even fresh. The white sauce packets were HUGE and I didn't need the extra I bought. The white sauce was okay. Again, nothing spectacular. The cheesecake was also okay. Nothing special there either. I'll definitely give them another try when I'm by the plaza but I don't think I'd go out of my way to order them for delivery. But there are def better places to order the same thing.

Service was fast and the portion sizes are generous! Food is consistent and the pita bread came out warm. Would recommend for a quick and hearty lunch break. 3/5.

Oh, I love Halal Guys! Their food is absolutely delicious. The combination of flavorful meats, fragrant rice, and their famous white sauce is just amazing. It's definitely a must-try if you're in Worcester! Plus the service there is a 10/10 with the most friendly staff and amazing food!!! The ambiance in the restaurant is great for sitting and having a quick bite, plenty of seating

I…read moreordered both the whole chicken plate and a muhmmara pie, and I had enough food for probably 3 meals! Keep in mind that if you order the whole chicken plate, you need to place your order at least 45 minutes in advance for them to prepare it, but it's 1000% worth it. Whole Chicken Plate - I think this is actually a Cornish game hen rather than a really small chicken, and it was so perfectly juicy and fresh tasting. Ordering takeout chicken is especially risky of being dry, but this was juicy and cooked to perfection. The spices on the chicken had just the right amount of kick, and the nuts and the rice were seasoned perfectly. I'd eat just the rice without the meat too - it was that good! Side of Mutabal - I had never had this before, but it was so so so so good! It had a sort of creamy texture to it (maybe yogurt?) and it was so rich and satisfying. I'm also a fan of baba ganoush but this takes eggplant to another level - I'm going to have to order this again and again and even look up a recipe to make at home. Absolutely recommend this gem of a side! Muhmmara pie - This was the one dish that was just okay - the pepper paste was good, but I was expecting a different kind of carb wrapping - the photos I'd seen look a bit different - this was more of a pita with the pepper spread on it and folded in half. I'd like to try again to see if it's the same thing as the other pictures on yelp or if perhaps the "pie" part of this was just different this particular day. All in all though, this was a solid 5/5. The whole chicken plate was perfect and I'd get it again with the mutabal any day!

I remembered previously ordering a Chicken Shawarma Plate. That is now in the "Specialties" section of the menu and that's what I ordered expecting to get the same plate of delicious chicken, rice, salad and hummus. I was shocked that this $20 "Specialty" consisted of a dry chicken wrap, french fries, some sort of yogurt dip and AWFUL, salty pickled vegetables. The fries were good but you don't go to a specialty Mediterranean place to get fries with a meal described as a plate. Apparently, you can no longer get a true plate of chicken shawarma with rice here. I do plan to return again some day and try the Kofta Kebab or Mixed Grill Plate from the "Entree" section since these still come with rice but everyone should be avoiding the "Specialties" plates as these are poorly executed and severely overpriced. Regardless of what you are ordering, I would highly recommend calling in your order to confirm exactly what you are going to get with your order since the online menus have no details whatsoever.

Enter Aladdin. Their menu includes appetizers, sandwiches, and platters. The appetizer menu has the usuals like fries and wings with some ethnic extras like samosas and hummus. Sandwich menu has many kebabs, shawarma, with vegetarian options like falafel and veggie mix. They also have a menu where you can get most of the sandwiches in platter form. I ordered the Iraqi famous veggie mix meal and Tina threw down a falafel sandwich. We added an order of fries and samosas. Their hummus is amazing. Closest I've had to authentic hummus in a long time. I didn't order a side order and I deeply regret it. Tempted to order delivery from here again just so I can order that hummus and bathe in it. The falafel is also very good. I have come across a wide variety of falafel textures and this one is more along the lines of floury rather than chickpea/grainy. They were crisp on the outside and hearty on the inside. They tasted excellent. Regarding the Iraqi famous veggie mix meal, the menu states "falafel, hand cut fried potatoes, eggplant, and samosa, comes with hummus, baba ganoush, and amba". What I actually received was a bunch of falafel, eggplant, a little container of hummus, iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickles, and banana peppers. There were zero "hand cut fried potatoes", no samosas, no baba ganoush, and no amba. Disappointing. Tina's falafel sandwich was also supposed to have "special sauce and amba or hummus". There was no sauce. Otherwise, the sandwich looked amazing. The samosas we received with our order of the appetizer were really good and stuffed with potato filling. They also included a few pieces of their Iraqi bread which was HUGE, soft, warm, and perfect to dip into the hummus. If you're in need of bread, I'd order their side of this bread which comes with 10 pieces. The prices were very reasonable but I wish they were more accurate with the menu.

It's a small restaurant with just few seatings and a counter. Inside was pretty empty. Looked authentic as everyone in there were African people and seemed to be speaking African language. We sat down and looked at the menu. Menu is small but offer authentic Ethiopian dishes. I ended up getting some samosas to start, spicy lentil, mixed veggie and beef. Had chai tea. Chai tea was nice and hot, chai flavor with subtle sweetness and creaminess. The samosas were fresh, steaming, crispy, and hot on the inside. Came with a dipping sauce the has bit of acidity. All the types were good but beef was my favorite. We got Ethiopian platter with meat. It came with large anjero which is a spongy fermented flat bread which feels and look like a pancake. It came with 5 different dishes on top which consisted of lentil mix, beef and vegetables, cauliflower and eggplant, chicken and veggie, and collard greens and vegetables. You scoop up the dish with anjero and eat them together. I've never had this kind of dish but it was very interesting and tasty. It had lots of vegetables and was large portion so even sharing with another person, I feel like i got really full and got my vegetables for the day. Everything was spiced and flavored well and reminded of authentic home cooking. Even though that taste of the food wasn't mind blowing it was hearty, soulful and healthy food that leave you feel satisfied. The service was excellent. The server which i think is the owner was very nice and helpful. Being relatively new to Ethiopian cuisine he was able help us navigate what to expect and order and answer any questions. He was very friendly and almost felt like a fatherly figure. Overall this place is definitely a hidden gem. If you want to try authentic Ethiopian soul food. I highly recommend visiting. I'm going to have to clarify this next time maybe, but the stews came atop a large anjero that tasted a bit more sour than the smaller ones that came on the side. We remember the bread from the other Ethiopian place we've tried in the past to be more sour than both of the ones we had here. I looked it up and it seems there's a difference between the Ethiopian anjero (larger and more fermented/sour) and the Somali one. I like both, but it was just interesting to learn.
