Service is hit or miss with waiting. Saw a new doctor today and he was on time and amazing. Dr Huang is an ocular surgeon so any surgeries are up his alley. He has a great bedside manner and is very proactive. And he looks like a K-pop star! Today was no waiting but the waiting room was packed so it was great they called us back immediately. read more

So slow... I walked out after 25 minutes of waiting for my appointment. I was there a few minutes early and saw a pretty full waiting room, so I asked if they were running behind and the receptionist said they were not (without checking anything). That should have been my tip off. When I finally went back to ask about the wait they said there was still someone else ahead of me so I called it a day. The selection of frames appeared to be fairly small, as well. Not impressed. There are too many other options out there. read more

Zero stars if it were possible. Appointment was for 10:20 am. It's now 12:34 pm and guess who's still waiting?! ME! Unfu**ing believable! Unacceptable! Guess who doesn't have social media, an email addy, or a feedback form? Alamance Eye Center! If the patient was 2 hours late they wouldn't be seen and they'd be charged. But when the doctor is 2 hours late there are ZERO repercussions, zero compensation. I'm filing a complaint against these inconsiderate unprofessional a**hats! read more

This is a business not health care! Went into a room and the tech had me read the eye chart. Declared my eyes were the same after less than 30 seconds. Then took me to another waiting room and sat there for 15 minutes. Called back to a room where I waited 39 minutes. Dr came in, took Quick Look and was done. They charge for everything --- if you want a copy of your RX it's $55! Every little thing is extra. I'm looking for another doctor. This was a waste of time and $! read more

i had cataract surgery in both eyes this summer, i was sent to Alamance eye center by the va. i was told that the va would cover everything as long as i didn't get the 2,000 dollar lenses so i could read without glasses. now i have a bill from Mebane surgery center which i was not inform of before i had surgery. and i will be reporting this to the va. read more

I visited this eye center first time today. They are very kind and working hard, I saw my doctor 10 min after my appointment ,that was very good experience. I like a big waiting area and parking space also. This is my favorite eye center from now. read more

I had my eyes examined at Alamance Eye and I got glasses there. After a month I went back because I had a scratch on the lens. They replaced the lens and I can't see through them. Went back a second time and got new lens. Still can't see. They told me I had to go through another exam to change the prescription. My insurance will not pay because I had them examined just a few months ago. I am currently wearing my old glasses. Terrible customer service. read more

Wow, five years in the making. My personal experience was horrible back in 2011. I never had prescription glasses in my life and the staff member was pushing the $90 progressive lens upgrade hard. I told her I was apprehensive because I never had prescriptions. She said that there was no way I wouldn't like them. Went back to change to regular single vision and I was $90 bucks in the hole. My wife just went within the last couple of weeks and liked the doctor. The girls behind the counter seemed more interested in the conversation than be bothered by helping my wife at the counter. She advised them that stigmatism was not a good idea, but they pushed it anyhow. They changed her prescription also by .75 from her original. After 4 visits back and forth, they finally took the stigmatism out, adjusted the prescription and she is finally good to go. As an additional caveat, prescriptions take weeks rather than hours to fill, so she had to take her prescription each time to lens crafters to have the prescription filled. It would have taken months before she finally had a good prescription had she continued to go there. In addition to all of those problems, they managed to fill her paperwork out as a MALE instead of Female. This has caused numerous insurance calls and adjustments just so I can have my own prescriptions done. The insurance company thinks its me instead of her claim, so Thanks a bunch Alamance Eye Care for all you've not done. read more

The optical center is WONDERFUL! Yvonne or Yolanda is great. My daughter wanted seeing glasses and she went over and above to accomdate me and my daughter. Friendly and kind. Fabulous customer service. Highly recommend the optical center. read more

My husband and I have been using this eye center for 2 years, and are completely satisfied. We usually wait a little, but not more than 15 minutes. Dr. Brasington is very good about explaining things clearly and offering options. The help we received at the optical shop was also good. read more

Read Brian's review; have to believe there's something else going on. My wife and I both have been in healthcare for over twenty years, providing primary and surgical care. We have a lot of expectation re staff, providers, paperwork processing, facilities and handling followup adjustments on contacts and prescriptions, etc that make us very selective in who we and our family go to. Since we both have complicated ocular health issues, we've had no shortage of experiences in assessing opthalmologic and optometric practices and associated optical shops. Long story short: highly recommend this practice. read more

I tried this place because I lived right by it and the first doctor I used gave me incredibly different prescriptions for my contacts and glasses. My glasses were so off that I could barely see out of them. I tried a different doctor there the next year and he said I had an astigmatism but that it wasn't bad enough that I had to switch to astigmatism contacts. The following year, I told him I felt like my astigmatism had gotten worse. He said it was fine, and the contacts he said I needed they didn't have in stock for me to try out before ordering. He gave me some that he said were close and told me he was sure the other would be right so go ahead and order them. I couldn't see well but thought it was because I didn't have exactly what he said I needed. I spent $70 on the contacts and when they came in I still couldn't see well. I made an appointment to go back and wow, I was right, I did need astigmatism contacts. I was then charged another $60 dollars for another visit, even though the doctor messed up the first time. By this point I had moved, so I had driven 2 hours there and back for the first visit, again to pick up my contacts, again to go back for my 2nd visit, I was charged $60 per visit and I had spent $70 on the wrong contacts that I was told I needed so I still needed to order new ones! When I tried to explain this to the woman taking payments, she called the eye doctor and he said I had to pay again. Needless to say I am not going back there. And after all that, I still couldn't see well with the new lenses! I tried a different eye doctor and he got me in the right contact lenses, which were completely different from the ones the other doctor had prescribed. He had been ridiculously off. read more
