First off, I want to say, WOW! Whoever thought of the idea of having dinner and a movie at the theatre is automatically my hero! My hubster and I had their salads. I specifically had the goat cheese salad & it was delish!! The popcorn comes buttered if you request. And my hubster was surprised to see they offered beer and other alcoholic beverages! He was a happy camper with his Blue Moon as I was with my Dr. Peppa! The servers are very quiet and shockingly don't disturb you while engrossed in the film. Love this spot! Def returning! read more

Really fun and enjoyable. The seats are comfortable and not all rickety like other theaters in town. Wait staff was quick and helpful. We ordered the buffalo blue cheese poutine and hatch green Chile Mac n cheese. Both were excellent. Make sure you order early as the food does take every bit of the 25 min. they tell you it will. Coffee comes in a French press which was a nice touch. Over all it was a great experience and we are looking forward to going back. read more

After coming here, it's hard to go to any other theater. The popcorn and milkshakes are SO GOOD (my favorite is the mexican vanilla, it's like a liquid snickerdoodle cookie!), and the carnivore pizza is stellar. The service has always been great, and you hardly even notice they come by (sneaky ninjas). Comfortable seating, love being able to pick my seat, they have fun movie parties, and the food is good! If I HAD to complain I wish the tables moved or had drink holders, but it's not a big enough deal for me to even think about going elsewhere. First, let me say they will most likely be my go to place to see a movie. Yes there are other theaters that have comfy chairs, the food is decent, and you can enjoy the movie without feeling like the place is crowded even when sold out. The thing that will have me coming back is the stance on loud talk and using your phone (texting). Pretty hard stance and that's great as I've been in several movies that I remembered that annoying guy a couple rows ahead of me rather than the movie. The only complaint I did have is that they serve their beer warm. I'm not a European, so that's not my bag. I'm just a little taken aback as that's part of their name. read more

This is the Best theater in Springfield! There are no lines with there online ticket purchase! You walk right in to your theater and sit in your Assigned seat!! That's right, no more fighting for the seat you want, you reserve it!!! And the ticket prices are amazing!! My family and I just watched Jumanji for 8$ a ticket( that's not a discount)!!!! A pleasant first experience. Food and drink were priced for the experience. Lots of craft beer offerings for about $5-6 per bottle. Food was tasty. We got the bottomless popcorn, chips & queso (not your traditional queso), and fried pickles. Food was hot and fresh. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was the random food delivery time. Food came out well before drinks. Others who had ordered before us got food later. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Staff was friendly and explained how everything works. For the love of god please train your bar staff. Walked in on a slow night and watched 4 bar staffers leaning on the counter, talking to each other, and one was sipping his own drink before I could even order mine. After sitting at the bar for 5 minutes or so a staffer comes over and takes our drink order without saying hello or offering a menu. Felt iced out as if either the bar staff weren't currently taking new customers, or that we weren't hip enough to sit in their bar. Theater staff, on the other hand, were great. I would suggest arriving closer to start time and skipping the bar altogether. The same food and drink are available at your reclining seat from a server that genuinely appears interested in your comfort. read more

Made a event with them for my work Christmas party. Took a couple weeks to get everything squared away. Then less then a week before they backed out because they double booked said we would have to choose a different date. I couldn't do a different date. Now I have to cancel the party all together. They way I was also told about it was unprofessional and was pretty much told they didn't have any space for us and not enough staff. read more

Been here 8 times and love it. The bar could be a bit faster, it takes a while to get drinks/food. And also the mixed drinks completely depend on who's at the bar. Once or twice we've gotten slow servers but it's been the rarity. We love how everyone stays quiet during the movies and there are no kids kicking your chairs!! read more

I went and saw my first movie there, The Shape of Water. It's a super cool experience. Food is a little high. They serve restaurant style food: burgers, wraps, appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcohol, and your classic popcorn and soda. There are tables to each two seats which can make it hard to get in and out of your chair. The chairs recline, so you can but your feet up. Also if you come alone, you will be sharing a table with someone else. You have to pick your seats when you buy your tickets. We where in the 2nd row and I would not want to sit much farther back. There is a lot of moving of the servers. They bring your food to your seats. Seating is open 30 minutes before the movie starts. They say they will not left you in if the movie has already started. There seemed to be only one men's bathroom and women's bathroom. They have a nice bar and outside seating area. Their website to buy tickets was super easy and you can go straight to your seats and show your email bar code to the servers. read more

Then being able to grab a brew in the bar before the movie and not have to sit in a dark theatre is a plus. Seats are very comfortable with plenty of room so no other moviegoers are really near you. iv been going there now for just over a year since moving up here. when i go to a movie i want comfort and quite to enjoy the movie and i get it all at the alamo. they have comfortable recliners full service bar and menu. i go there every two weeks for a movie. i recommend it to everyone. some will say the food cost more than they like,,,so dont eat, your missing out. always friendly and clean restrooms. iv even done the trivia night ,,,didnt do as well as i hoped but it was fun. they always have something fun going on. iv been to special movie nights of older movies with themes. any time family visits i take them there. read more

This is the best date night spot in Springfield if a good movie is playing. The ease of ticket purchase with the app is awesome, the app could use a little UI help, but it will get better with time. The bar area is beautiful, 48 beers on tap, and usually some musicians doing their thing. The wife and I tried a lot across the menu including shakes, fries, and multiple delicious brews. We were impressed by every thing we tried. The service was excellent as well. Once you are in the theater your server will take care of whatever you need, and the electric recliners are amazing. The sound quality was the clearest I've ever heard in a movie theater. I'm glad they chose 417 for their newest home and everyone should go out and support them! I have been to the Alamo a handful of times with great staff, until Memorial Day. Went to see Booksmart in the afternoon and the waitress came right when we sat down and asked what we wanted. (Normally, we get have you been here before, do you know how we work, etc...) Told her we'd look over the menu and needed a couple of minutes and she said if I were you I'd order as soon as you can because it's a short film and want to make sure you get your food on time... it made us uncomfortable and felt like she was trying to push us to order something. (It wasn't a short film) then as my boyfriend got the check he noticed that the customer copy was underneath the guest copy and it was folded into each other (made it look like it was only one piece of paper) to where he had to pull it apart and it could have been a coincidence but with the whole experience with the waitress just gave us an odd feeling. Just watch out for an older woman and make sure you sign the right copy! read more

I tried the Alamo recently and if I was asked by anyone how it was I would probably respond "it's alright". There is nothing spectacular about it but it isn't horrible. They did an okay job on the decor, but the lights under the table are really a distraction (maybe just some ambient light on the walls so you could at least see your food instead of simply lighting up your feet). Also the servers are very distracting. I thought they would accommodate this aspect better when deciding how to set up the theaters but they didn't. Another weird aspect is that the table height is all wrong (drinks are directly in your line of sight). Personally, if I am going to pay more to watch a movie I enjoy B & B Marquee Suites. Not as distracting, more of a VIP experience, more room between you and your neighbors when seated, and honestly better food. Oh...and B & B uses buttons to call servers instead of paper. Much faster than waiting for a server to see a paper sticking up. read more

I was a little excited to go until I got to the theatre. They charged me the same price for my three year old that they charged for my wife and I. We wanted to see despicable me 3 . When we got there they questioned us about our child's age. I understand a children's policy after 6 but to tell a parent that they can't decide what their children can watch, unbelievable. Then when I asked for my refund the shaved headed manager took thirty minutes because he didn't know how to work their registers. Mouthed off to me like he was the one being inconvenienced. I have been to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema a couple of times and I always enjoy myself. I love the concept of having food and drinks served to you while watching a movie! The last time I visited the Alamo I ordered the fried goat cheese salad and added chicken to it, and split a side of fries and the chocolate peanut butter shake with my friend. Unfortunately, once your server takes your order and puts it in the computer, they do not double check to make sure you receive your food. I completely understand this is because they do not want to disrupt the movie, but it can be a little frustrating because it is difficult to get your servers attention during the movie. The past two times I have been to the Alamo, part of my order did not come out and the movie was more than halfway over before our server realized our ticket was up. I will definitely be back to the Alamo to watch a movie with an appetizer or snacks, but wouldn't recommend a full meal! read more

Such a cool place! My boyfriend and I went here tonight and we seriously can't wait to go back! The service was amazing, our server Sarah was so attentive to us and super fun. We tried the nachos and a few drinks, they came out quick and tasted great. This is a great theater! My husband and I have been to it a few times. The seats are incredibly comfortable and you're not crowded in at all - even in sold out shows, you don't feel like a sardine! I like being able to order meals and drinks brought to you during the movie, so you don't have to leave the theater and miss part of your movie. The food is a little pricy but tastes good. Sometimes they have menus themed after the movie you're seeing which makes it a fun and tasty experience! We love this theater! read more

We enjoyed our experience, the waitress realized we hadn't received our food when we ordered a drink refill she hunted it down for us and gave us rain checks for it taking too long. We thought it was taking awhile but didn't think much of it. Compared to b&b you are very close to your neighbors and the tables are awkwardly placed far away and you can't swivel them. So you either have to sit at the edge of your seat or put your food in your lap. The paper ticket for requests during the movie is a nice concept so they can easily grab it without being in the way but seem to easily go unnoticed because the drinks on the tables block it from view. read more

The theater itself is okay, it appears clean and updated. But I only was able to see the lobby. We were coming in from out of town and had planned to arrive to the theater 15 minutes early, however roadwork held us up. So when we finally get to the theater I didn't even look at the clock, I just rushed inside to go ahead and buy my ticket because I knew I would be a little late. My husband and I told them the movie and time, and he said he couldn't sell us tickets because they have a 10 minute late policy. Which I understand, to an extent. But, it was an afternoon matinee with an empty parking lot, and for a movie that had been out for almost a month. So I said "oh, ok?" and my husband and I left. As we were walking out the door, we were 12 minutes late. The movie started at 1:10, we arrived there at 1:22. Long story short, we planned this out of our way to go see a movie for the first time in over 2 years (we have a toddler and our first time ever getting a babysitter), we were very excited to go see this movie. But, nope. Because we were 2 minutes past their late policy. read more

my boyfriend and i wanted to take a nice date out to a movie. we ended up seeing free guy. this was the first time at an alamo for the both of us, we get there and it's packed. as expected for a saturday night, but they only have 2 doors to enter and exit, so it was crammed full. we reserve spots in the back and they ask what we want to drink and eat. we got popcorn and one drink. i didn't realize the soda was $6 and the popcorn was $8(not bad). the seats were incredibly close to one another, and when the movie was about to begin we asked to sit in an open row (mind you this theatre was not packed) but the lady made it seem like an inconvenience when we asked to move. but we eventually did. the lady came out maybe 3 times during the movie and i think the paper requests are very inconvenient, like i said she came out maybe 3 times so what's even the point of requesting something, right? the popcorn had hairs in them and i know they weren't mine. the people behind us were extremely loud and no workers addressed them. not to mention they add a SERVICE FEE without mentioning anything about it. ended up spending about $70 for TWO PEOPLE on a shitty movie with shitty service. read more

The only thing I have to say that is good about this theater is that the sound system is fantastic. But for a high priced theater with a classy atmosphere, the service for food and drinks during the movie is a complete joke. Don't let the "bottomless" popcorn and drinks fool you--they hypothetically will fill you up upon your request but only after 40 mins and three ticket requests have been taken by three different servers. Leaving a ticket up for the servers to take is a highly inefficient way to alert them unless they are being 100% attentive (which they were not). To make it easier on the incompetent servers they should have call buttons for you to press at your seat like b&b suites in ozark has--much more efficient. There were no to go cups for adults--they could only offer a kids size to-go cup. So for $6 I paid for 1 1/2 cups of heavily filled ice drinks (even after I asked for no ice). I wish I could say this was the only time attending when the service was abysmal--but every time only gets worse than the last. Pride yourselves in being a high class theater and train your servers better! Until then I'll stick with Springfield 11. read more

Absolutely awful. Purchased my tickets through their website. Never once did it tell me they have a no late comers policy. My girlfriend and I arrived just a little bit late and they told us that we were not allowed to see that movie at the time we paid. Also my money won't be refunded to my card for like a week. I will not be returning to this theater, their rules are ridiculous. The lady seemed very please to be telling us about their ridiculous policy managers or staff seemed to not have a problem with telling us to leave. For my first time being at that theater, this was ridiculous. Not a good way to get people to start coming to your new business here in town. The money that I was gonna use for me and my girlfriend to have a good date night is now tied up in the refund process. Thank you Alamo draft house for ruining our evening. Also the balding manager was very rude, they never offered anything just my money back. Way to turn down paying customers you sir have no business being in management and should be fired. read more
