Nasty tub floor. Motel wouldn't provide bath mat. Had to use towel.

One star for the cordial staff and hot food for breakfast. I have stayed at six discount motels in Gillette, WY, and this is by far the most dilapidated and poorly maintained. - The bathroom tub bottom was ugly, and required a towel to be spread on it before the shower could be used. The closet shelf had not been dusted in ages, and required newspapers to be spread before use. - Reception told me the room couldn't be changed, as they were full due to a rodeo. It turns out there was no rodeo during my stay, and the motel never looked more than half full. - The wifi was virtually non-existent. - I had housekeeping twice during my week long stay. The housekeeper was cheerful and friendly, but, in my absence, skipped making my bed, cleaning the coffeemaker and sink, and lining the trash can. - Breakfast was supposed to start at 6 am, but was not ready until 7 am or later, as I found out on two occasions. The office, which led to the breakfast area, was locked. A sign was posted requesting the guest to call a number; but no one picked up. Had this room cost $30 / night in the summer, I would have given it four stars. As it happens, I paid more than double that amount. For that price, I expected better maintenance.

Nasty stains left everywhere. Didn't even look refreshed

Booked this last minute and i knew it didn't have the highest rating, but it was late and we just needed a place to sleep before we got up and drove 13 more hours the next day. Walked in and the chairs we left sitting out and not put away. Looked as if someone sat with a friend and had some snacks before we got there. There were cracker crumbs all over the chairs left sitting out along with something wet that spilled on the floor. There was also a large nasty spill on one chair and something sticky on the table next to it. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in days, dead grasshoppers and dirt everywhere. The coffee station had crusty stains all over it, and it didn't look like it had been refreshed with new cups or coffee packets. Almost as if it had been overlooked along with the rest of the room. At this point we made our way to the bathroom and to no one's surprise it was dated and dirty. There were shoe footprints on the floor in front of the toilet along with a dried pee spot on the toilet seat. The only thing that looked as if it had been touched was the bed sheets and the garbage. We gathered our stuff and headed straight to the lobby. Once we walked in a child came busting down the stairs and then headed behind the counter. He proceeded to ask, "what do you need?" and not in a friendly way. We let him know we needed to speak with an adult and he called his mom to come to the front. We let her know the issues and even showed her the pictures. She didn't seem very surprised or even concerned and just refunded us our room. I will NEVER stay at that hotel when we travel through again. Horrible, nasty place.

This hotel is ok. The room was smelly. The breakfast was less than ok. The service was good.

Booked through Expedia and for what we paid for it was a clean room. The staff was super nice. Thanks for the stay.

Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. We found hair in the shower and bathroom sink, which was unpleasant, but we initially tried to give housekeeping the benefit of the doubt. As we looked around the room, it became obvious that the previous guests had stayed in the room with a romance package. There were rose petals under the bed, bobby pins left on the floor, and rose petals still scattered around the jetted tub. The worst part was finding hair in the filter of the whirlpool tub and on it. It was honestly disgusting and made us question whether the room had been cleaned at all before our arrival. To the staff's credit, they did move us to a different room. While the second room was cleaner, it still had cleanliness issues that should not have been overlooked. We found a hair in the bed, hair in the shower, and trash that had not been taken out from the previous guest. At that point, it was clear that housekeeping standards were a recurring problem rather than a mistake. The staff's willingness to move us was appreciated, but the overall experience was disappointing. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, especially when paying for a premium suite. I hope management takes a serious look at housekeeping procedures and room inspections so future guests do not have the same experience.
