Beware On our trip…read moreto Destin, we stepped off of the airplane and met a couple of friends and decided we needed a larger golf cart than the one that came with our condo. In our haste, I went to this company's website filled out all of the information and paid over $1000 to rent a golf cart for a week. They immediately called me collected the address and told me that they would deliver the golf cart that night. A couple hours later they called back realizing that I was staying in Resort called sandestin that they could not deliver the golf cart because Sandestin is a closed resort that does not allow deliveries. It does say "no sandestin" on their website. This was an oversight on my part and I admit it 100%. They then told me that they do not do refunds. The owner reached out through email and told me that people book months in advance and hurt their business because they want a refund once they arrive and realize that the cart cannot be delivered to sandestin. This is understandable and I do not blame them. However, my rental was denied the same day and I did not hold up their cart for a week. The owner simply told me that they're going to keep my $1000 and that's the end of it because the website says "no sandestin". I even offered to pay for the cart for a full day because of the confusion and they refused me because they just want the $1000 for no services rendered. Minor mistake and oversight on my part, absolutely! Ethical of this business owner to take advantage of people from out of town and keep all of the money from a same-day rental when a cart was never issued? You decide. I have copies of the emails. I'm happy to post them, but this company will do whatever they can to keep your money I would not trust them. This was a very simple decision to make for this business owner but that chose to keep money for nothing rendered on a same day mistake. Good luck , there's a lot other rental spots. Choose wisely.

I've seen what I consider to be good rental agencies, and a lot of marginal outfits...and worse. As a resident of Northwest Florida it's really nice to be able to say that I've found the best car rental location I've ever used, right here in the Niceville/Fort Walton Beach area. I've rented cars and vans from Advantage Rent-A-Car at the VPS airport over the past year. And I remember thinking to myself what a great experience it was, the first time I did business with them, and in every succeeding experience I've had with them. The customer service at the counter has been fantastic. The ladies who work there are always very friendly and helpful, they always offer me options that allow me to limit my costs while getting the best vehicle I can for the money I spent. Every time I've rented a vehicle from Advantage the cars and vans have been in top condition, and with low mileage. As someone who spends thousands of dollars a year on rental cars it's important to me to get good value and service. The Advance Rent-A-Car office at Northwest Florida Regional Airport is the friendliest, most professional business of it's kind I've ever had the pleasure to spend money with, and they've convinced me to look for Advantage offices wherever I travel. Our original rental date had bad weather and Michael quickly communicated to get us a new date! Our boat was upgraded as well as an add on for a lily pad and we are SO glad we had it! Our Deckhand, Kainan, was so great and made sure to check in during the day. He also offered to throw out all the trash at the end of the day which was a so nice! The staff was communicating the entire time about weather and helped make the day perfect! They even let us stay out an extra hour! The boat was beautiful and looked brand new, a local helping on the doc at Lulu's even said "this does not look like a rental at all"! We stayed in Rosemary and it was only a 20 minute drive. We took the boat to Crab Island and stopped at Lulu's on the way! It was so worth it make the drive to Destin on the water and not in a car!! When I come back to Rosemary Beach I will for sure be renting from them again!

I found out about this company while I was planning a trip to Destin. Crab island is on the list of…read morethings to do on every website when you type in Destin but in order to a rent a boat you have to get a license which requires someone in your group to take a test and also to be sober. No one wanted to be responsible for that so I found this option which allowed us to get to crab island and back without having to rent a boat. When I called them they asked me to pay them through cash app to hold the reservation which in hindsight actually seems pretty sketchy. I was having difficulties getting it to go through so they said we could just pay with cash. Fast forward, we go to the building and pay and then we had to drive and find parking to catch the boat. I went on a Sunday which is the one day they didn't have a shuttle bus going between the locations. Once we got to crab island it was actually really cool. You get tickets for drinks and snacks, they have a boat where you can leave your items, they have a DJ and they have floaties you can use. Everything was great until it was time to go. Bebe was the lady working the checkout. I was right behind a man who checked out before me and she told him and I that our groups would be on the next boat. She wrote down my last name and the number of guests in my group. I guess everyone decided to leave at once because it got very crowded. When the next boat came to bring people back the man who checked in right before me and his group went on and when we went to get on she tells us that we are on the next boat. Okay fine i guess... so then the next boat comes and she lets a huge group on and then calls my group. We had 7 people and after 6 of us got on she says the last person has to wait until the next boat. So we are all very irritated and we get off the boat. I'm confused about why she wrote down the people in my group and still proceeded to not accommodate the entire party. So I told her that we want the entire party to be able to ride together and she told me "I mean it's going to waste a little more gas but if you want to do it that way" ....... the boats fit 16 people so I don't quite understand how us wanting to be together wastes gas but their boats go back and forth every 3 minutes. Anywho, everything was great until check out and I don't think Bebe was able to quite handle when it got busier than normal. Oh and be prepared to see a million "Trump 2020" and "Make America Great Again" flags waving from 80% of the boats in crab island.

We had the opportunity to take a helicopter tour, and the pilot was excellent at providing stunning views of the surroundings and pointing out key landmarks.
