It's more than just a gas station; it's a grocery store, snack shop, souvenir shop, and eatery all in one. The employees are all the nicest people you've ever met, the prices are good, there's a great selection of snacks and drinks, and the restrooms area always clean. If you're passing through -- and we often are -- ignore the shiny, new place up the road and continue on to the Sinclair. Take care of the locals who have been here forever. read more

Nicest rural gas station / general store I've been too. I've done a lot of touring of North America and I don't make that claim lightly. Excellent select of wares, friendly staff, clean restrooms and best of all the cutest Sinclairs out front! It might be a quirk of ours but we love the Sinclair dinosaur and have various plush idols at home we've bought on our travels, and these guys seems to have a really similar take! (See pics). RV trip from Spokane to Sun City West. Stopped at Alamo for the night. This is a GEM! It has everything a trucker wants but it is Not food desert like most truck stops are. Every thing is very clean, prepared food fresh and nutritious. Staff super friendly and helpful. But AMAZING grocery! Lots of fresh produce and a full selection in the selves. This place is awesome. Its huge. It's literally the size (and practically is) a small grocery store. Yes they have gas. They also have everything else. They have some clothes, fresh meats, standard groceries. They have firewood and nice bathrooms. Keep in mind, they dont have alcohol or beer or wine. I've heard this is a mormon based town and that's the reason they dont sell it. So bring your own booze to the area. But anything else you need, they will have. read more

This is an awesome gas station in the middle of nowhere. In a town that has one restaurant, one alien store and basically nothing else, this is a true gem. It's effectively a mini-Walmart that sells gas and has cool dinosaur statues more than it is a gas station. Good fried chicken as well, which is just another huge plus when there's nothing around for tens of miles. I'd never look to come to Alamo again, but if I somehow ended up here for some very strange reason, I'm pretty confident I'd end up back at Sinclair. read more

This is a great stop while on the road. Gas, full on grocery store, and a little like fry counter you can get some hot foods and bathrooms to take little break from driving. Ample parking and lot to walk the dog and stretch your legs. Been stopping here for years. read more

I dont even bother with the Shell in Ash Springs anymore, the full on grocery and the best donuts in southern Nevada are enough to make this my stop. .Let's get back to them donuts shall we? This is a 24 hour Sinclair gas station. It's always been more reasonably priced than the station just up the road in Ash Springs. The fuel prices are a bit more than Las Vegas to the south, or to the north in Ely. The sandwiches are very good and for a small grocery store very well stocked, but don't look for great bargains. It's the only store with a selection of grocery items for many many miles. If in need of any of these items when in this part of Nevada, I recommend the friendly staff and clean well stock store in Alamo. read more

Great pit stop for gas & food for our drive to and from Great Basin National Park. Our first stop, we got a sandwich & some gas. The only downside was the women's restroom was out of order during our stop that evening. On the way back to Vegas we got gas again and some food from Chesters Fried Chicken. Everything that one could want (except booze) while traveling north or south on the 93. They have fuel, a grocery store, deli, coffee, and a little snack shack inside. The few times I have stopped there has been a healthy mix of locals and travelers. There is multiple stations to fill your sleds and this includes diesel. The deli has pre-made snacks and other fixings. The coffee bar offers an assortment of different flavors and mixings. The snack shack seems to be a favorite for those stopping in. Fried chicken to fried chimichangas to fried chicken parts, it's got a little of everything. There is also a greasy skillet that you can get hamburgers on. After stopping in on my most recent visit which was on a Sunday morning, the grill was in total chaos as they were out of a lot of different items. All was blamed on a former manager who had quit while my breakfast burrito turned into breakfast tacos. Be patient as you may have to wait. There is not much else out in this neck of woods but if you have to stop, Alamo Sinclair is A-OK. read more

Very impressed with this station! It is the local's only grocery store option, so yes the size and variety is larger than a usual highway gas & go. However, the variety of fresh, quick, snack size food blew my mind. Look in the snack box cooler section for a variety of fresh/healthy options. Also, the bagel bites cup is super cute. It is just a bagel in bite-sized pieces, but the concept is adorable and travel/car friendly. I wanted to buy one of everything just because it all looked so good. The coffee/hot drink selection was also amazing! So many different blends to choose from, not sure if I love the Citavo brand flavor profile, but the variety is impressive nonetheless. Sugar fee hot cocoa and hot teas are also a nice touch if you aren't a coffee fan. We didn't try any of the hot food breakfast, but again, the variety is way better than anything I have see before! They open at 5 am, so I will be sure to try the breakfast next time I'm in town! read more

Really nice gas station in Alamo. Went inside to use the ladies room and the restrooms were clean with a floor heater to keep it warm. Inside was a full blown grocery store with deli, meat department, produce and everything needed. Very big store. They had ice cream, fountain drinks just something for everyone.
