First visit, was very rushed by the practitioner. I could barely explain my current health conditions and recent biopsies done from less than a year ago before being cut off. My insurance is steadily available, and has been active all year and for various appointments. For some reason, they tried to push off an ultrasound and said it was due to my insurance. My insurance in the past month has approved an MRI, surgery, X-rays, multiple appointments and blood work. For some reason only at this office, they said my insurance isn't covering normally. They're charging random fees. I understood I'd be paying close to $200 for a blood lab test. However, the follow up appointment was another $43.xx which is strange because all of my appointments copays are $25. An ultrasound completed at Valley radiology in Angier was sent to insurance and I pay them directly once the claim is received per usual. For some reason here I would have had to pay over $200 on the date of the appointment. Which again, doesn't include the follow up results.

I tried to make the appointment with that doctor and he did not have any appointments until October. I was told he only saw patients one day a week. A five month wait to see the cardiologist is ridiculous. I had three appointments with a different cardiologist, Dr. Divyang Patel, for follow up for that same cardiac event and not once did I see the Dr. Patel. I was seen by a PA or a nurse. They seemed knowledgeable, but they are not cardiologists. I had three tests ordered by those providers, one at was done at Fayetteville Heart Center, one at CFV Hospital and one at Womack Army Medical Center. When the tests were done at either Fayetteville Heart Center or at the hospital, a follow up appointment was scheduled for one month after the test. I went to the follow up appointment for the test done in the office, I was told the tests weren't read by a doctor yet. After that visit, I knew I was not going to be returning to Fayetteville Heart Center for care. When I was checking out the young woman at the checkout desk asked if I wanted to make a follow up appointment for six months and I said no. Later when I checked My Chart to see if the results of test results were done. I saw that she had scheduled an appointment for me anyway. It took three months for the results of the test done in the hospital to be placed in my health record. I had much better care at WAMC for the appointments I had there. I'm glad they had space available for me. They figured out what was causing that particular issue and it was resolved. I found another cardiologist to go to, and when I contacted Fayetteville Heart Center to see what I needed to do to authorize my records to be sent over to the new cardiologist office I spoke to three people. I got three different answers.

Over the last two years, I was complaining of fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, etc. She did lab work that showed I was extremely anemic, and she advised me to take an iron supplement. The iron made me very sick, but she didn't do anything! I became very depressed ... it was clear she didn't care. I complained over and over about these specific symptoms, but she did nothing. Finally, during a routine exam at my new OBGyn's, someone caught it. I got a phone call the same day as my pelvic exam, from the doctor. She said, "Your iron is dangerously low. Frankly, I don't know how you're standing up." I was scheduled for an emergency iron infusion. This was two weeks ago, and I'm finally starting to feel normal.
