He is focused on restoring and servicing all kinds of bikes. He has a pretty large selection of used bikes for sale that he fixed or fully restored. He is definitely worth visiting if you are in the market for a bike, need your bike serviced, or want to restore a vintage bike. But what is most special, is that he accepts donated bikes to be restored, sold, and in-turn gives part of the profits to charity. Alan was so helpful with my bike. I was just trying to fix a few issues that I couldn't solve for a bike that I was trying to fix up and sell. I tried going to one bike shop that was going to charge me a lot to replace a lot of the components. I called up Alan to drop in during the evening and he took a quick look and was very helpful! He looked at my shifters and derailleur and figured out in 10 mins what I couldn't in days. No parts replacement needed and at the end of our interaction he said there was no need to pay him since he looks at these things all the time. I bought my bike at another bike shop in Burlingame where I they offer "complimentary tuneups" for the life of the bike. When I went to them, they said my bike didn't qualify for the complimentary service, but instead I needed to pay $350 plus parts to get any service done on my bike.
