My friend and I drove an hour to the tattoo shop earlier today for them to say that it would be 3 hours until they were ready for any new clients, so we made an appointment for 9pm. We had dinner reservations and we rushed to get here for our 9pm appointment.... and then they said it would be an hour cause she took on another client...? The appointment and the money we put down was supposed to hold our spot. Terrible service. When asking if we could just leave and get our deposit back because it was their fault they said no. I understand the deposit is non-refundable but it wasn't our fault, they knew about the appointment, the deposit is usually on the person if they don't show up. After visiting them earlier this week and getting all the needed information for my niece to get a tattoo, we returned today. A different man (English gentleman) greeted us and gave us different information, telling my sister that she couldn't sign for her own daughter because, although they share the same address on their driver's licenses, my sister having a last name different than my niece (my sister is remarried) disqualifies my sister from signing for her OWN daughter, which is opposite of what we were told few days before. We ended up visiting a second different highly reputable tattoo parlor not far away and my sister could have a different last name with the same address. The guy at Alan's was not helpful and was rude to my sister. Disappointing, but we had a happy ending elsewhere. read more

I have been here a few times and they are very kind but today my friend and I went to get her nose pierced for her Birthday and the lady Christina didn't even clean her nose and shoved the needle through her nose. One of the males stated we needed to have the same last name like this was 1920. People do get remarried etc. and might not carry the same name as their child. My wife and I have a few tattoos between us. The first thing that struck us was that we had to speak with some guy at the front rather than directly with the artist. This man took the artwork back to the artist and returned with a quote of $220-$280 for a black and gray. The artist never saw my wife, never asked the size or location of the tattoo, never came out of her/his little studio. The second thing we noticed was a lot of people in the place with no tattoos. This lead me to believe that they are used to squeezing cash out of vacationing suckers looking for their first tattoo. Well, not us. We'll go to our normal artist in Oregon and know the quality of work we'll get for a reasonable price. After reading most the reviews, it does seem they do good and reasonable work for locals, but my feeling was that they like to squeeze the tourists. This was my personal experience. read more

I'm very unhappy with my experience here. My Husband and I got matching tattoos to celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary while we were vacationing in Destin. Well, the ink on my tattoo didn't even last a month before it started coming off!!! This was my 3rd tattoo so I'm no Rookie and I also took all the precautions on the aftercare. I messaged the studio last week to inform them of this and still haven't heard back. No apology. No partial refund. Nothing. So for over 2 months, I have experienced the best ear piercing in my life to help cure an odd condition called Mal de Debarquement which is French for "bad after departure" I sustained on a cruise ship! It affects mainly women in their 30s and older and men can experience the same effects as well. It's basically three types of vertigo in different swinging, rocking and topple patterns because the brain believes you are still on the ship regardless of a flat horizon. No cure and it sucks! So I saw an Acupuncturist who performed a treatment and told me about a piercing in the ear that can help alleviate the vertigo symptoms, and she also discovered I suffered calcified damage to the left side of my jawline?! Long story short, she drew a diagram and used a sharpie to mark the spot. I drove to this shop and they were amazing, fast, inexpensive and kind. A 16 gauge ear piercing is NOT the easiest thing to endure but they made it fun and quick. I couldn't get my dait pierced, because my dait is too small with my little ears. The results of this piercing is mind-numbing and there is little to no symptoms since! More acupuncture is needed to treat the permanent damage to my left jawline but I have high hopes the injury will dissipate over time. read more

His was much more intricate and Sandy sketched, sized and redid the process until both she and my son were pleased with the sketch. His turned out great and he is real happy with the results (he had a shark jaw tattooed on his elbow...he is working on an ocean themed sleeve). I had coordinates tattooed on my left forearm (for my beloved Austin, TX). Sandy worked through some different fonts and placement options...I love it! Going back this week for some new ink! My husband and I have also gotten tattoos here in previous years. The shop is clean and their prices are very reasonable.
