On a recent cruise, this was the first stop on our Ketchikan port day. While the majority of our fellow cruisers darted for the shore excursions, my wife & I meandered away from the crowd and into town on our town. As this was our first trip to Alaska, we wanted to take our time and enjoy the views. Our ship docked in Ketchikan around 9:00 AM, and we were among the first to disembark. We had a light breakfast on the ship, but were still very hungry by the time we made it here. There were 3 people waiting for food when we ordered, but there was no line at the counter otherwise. My wife ordered the Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon crepe (adding avocado), while I chose the Monte Cristo. As the crepes were made to order, it did take a while to get our food. After about 20 minutes, the server called my name. We took our order and sat down in front of the pub next door (they were closed), as there wasn't any seating around. We dove into our food as it was hot and fresh. My Monte Cristo was jam-packed (pun intended) with chopped ham and cheese, but with just enough of the raspberry preserves to enrich the flavor of the other ingredients. My wife's crepe was full of salmon, enrobed by the spinach and avocado. We devoured our food very quickly, our appetites satiated and ready for a long day ahead. We stopped here for a late lunch yesterday. It was a cold, rainy day, but the crepes were hot and freshly made. You order at the window and only have to wait a few minutes for your name to be called and your crepe to be delivered. I ordered the Wild Alaska Salmon crepe with avocado. I would have liked a little more salmon in it, but it was a tasty treat that hit the spot. Although there really isn't a place to sit and eat your crepe (except maybe on the curb), you can enjoy it while you stroll through Creek Street. This was a good one. Saw this while walking around Ketchikan. Smelled like good food. They did have good options in variety of sweet or savory crepes. Most of the people in line were ordering their salmon crepe. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese crepe. They were fairly busy and so it took around 15 minutes after I ordered to get my food. The presentation of the food was great; however, the value for the price and flavor was why this got 3 stars. I paid close to 20 dollars for this crepe. It was basically full of bacon bits and unmelted shredded cheddar cheese. There was barely any egg at all in the crepe. I also ordered my 5 year old the cinnamon sugar crepe which was basic and tasted fine. Later saw the sign posted away from the menu that said a 15% gratuity is already included. Then on top of that, the machine asks for a tip, AND they have a tip jar. Frustrating that companies have the audacity to include a tip when ordering at the counter, especially for already overpriced food. Ended up waiting at least 20 minutes, although there were a lot of people that ordered before us. The crepe was more of a snack than anything substantial. Rating 5 stars for flavor but some unsavory details. Smoked salmon and apple maple bacon were amazing!!! I wish I could have tried every other option they sounded fantastic. Wait time is long depending on how many are in front of you. We waited 20-25 minutes. Service gratuity is 15% automatically added which you can take off. It is very pricey for crepes but the flavor and quality balances it out. Nowhere to sit so it's a walking snack. It was a highlight for our trip because of the uniqueness. read more

There were 3 orders ahead of us, however, it took 21'minutes before it reached our hands. The crepe was prepared, but was left on a window sill for 5 minutes before it was given to us. We wish it was given to us earlier, we tend to like our crepes to have some crisp to it, but it was left to sog. It could have been that the crepe itself was thicker than a crepe made in other places. We saw that crepes were made with a press instead of a plate, that most like contributed to the thicker pancake, which results in a crepe to not be as crisp. What a gem of a find. We were walking towards Creek Street and stumbled upon this great place. They have many crepe options and easy grab and go service. It's a window kiosk where you order and simply wait outside. We didn't wait long and it was delicious. We both ordered the Salmon Crepe and it was savory, cheesy, and fresh. A week later and we are still talking about how disappointed we were with Alaska Crepe! I saw other people posting about this place on social media so added it to my list of where we needed to eat during our Alaska trip but this was a huge letdown. We left the lumberjack show early to run over to Alaska Crepe before it got busy. We got here before 10:30am and there was only one other family ordering before us. We went up to order breakfast crepes and were told they can't do breakfast crepes anymore because they ran out of eggs... this was a huge bummer!!! We ordered 3 different crepes and well... they all kind of sucked. The BLT was bland and they forgot to add the goat cheese I ordered. The Banana split was watery and the blueberry was just hot whole blueberries that burst all over your clothes and face when you bit into them. All 3 were messy and nothing special. read more

This is walkable from your cruise port! The smoked salmon crepe was a must try here! The salmon was delicious and the crepe texture was perfect. I also enjoyed my wife's pizza crepe as well! First off, they do not open until 8am although their sign says 7:30am (totally fine but the lady was rude about it and asked us to wait somewhere else and not infront of the window) Secondly, the same person as above was the one taking our order, she looked at me blankly when I placed my order, never said anything other than my total. Maybe not a morning person. The crepe was mediocre at best, we saw the great reviews and we were at port early so we decided to check it out. Lastly, don't let it fool you, it's not worth the price and honestly the most off putting part was the customer service. I'm still extremely confused by my interaction with the person. We were craving a sweet treat after walking around and came across Alaska Crepe. We ordered the Nutella or Whateva--the batter of the crepe was extremely fragrant and sweet & it folded perfectly with the melted chocolate. Although, it was disappointing that my crepe only came with Nutella and nothing else. I believe bananas were an extra charge after I had already paid. The crepe is good, nothing special but you are supporting a local business which is highly recommended. Not pleased with the automatic 15% gratuity that is not clear when you're checking out; there's a sign on the inside of the window on the opposite side of where I ordered that indicates this. Food was good, service was great BUT when i went to pay at the walk up window the options for tipping were 3% or 5% or 7%- Wow , finally fair tipping options for basically self service- i felt so good i added a custom tip of $5 for my 2 crepes. It took close to 30 minutes for my food and while waiting i spotted a hand written sign on a dry erase board that read " We add a 15% gratuity to every order for our staff. If you don't want it we will take it off. So the finally a fair tip amount for self service was a 15% plus 3,5 or 7 or in my case a plus $5 became a slap in the face!! I didn't complain- the nice girl in the window who gave less service than a convenience store clerk wasn't responsible for the slimy bs policy of the management or ownership. Saw all the five star reviews and being a big fan of well made crepes and looking for something light to eat I decided to give this business a try. This business has basically three types of crepes to choose from and they include the Sweet , breakfast and savory style of crepes with multiple choices under each category. In this instance, I was looking for something sweet and ended up getting the Caramel Apple Pie crepe. The crepe was very well made, sweet as advertised and just plain delicious. One thing to note about this restaurant is that you order your crepe at the counter and they deliver it to you in a hand held disposable parchment style sleeve. No plates at this business which can make for a little messier meal but this was not a big deal for me nor most of the customers based on the reviews. Overall I was very pleased with my crepe and to be honest with you it left me wanting more after eating it (a good sign) and wishing this business was in my home town area of Metro Detroit as I would be a regular at this place. Crepes are made fresh which is such a treat when it's cold outside. I had the salmon crepe which had spinach and some kind of sauce. It was a bit too salty and the spinach did not pair well. I would have much preferred lettuce or coleslaw which would have given it a nice crunchy texture. read more

This is a pick up and go type of eatery. Make sure before placing your order that you ask approximately how long it will take to make your crepe because when the cruise ships come, they can take forever! ...or, they can be made in as quick as 10 mins. I gave it a 4 star because the first day I ordered online for pickup at 11:30 and said that it would be ready at 11:55. I arrived at 11:50 and they told me just a few more minutes. It took 25 more minutes. I had paid an extra $6 to get gluten free, added avocado & bacon, but when I got it home there wasn't any avocado and bacon. BUT, it was delicious! The next day I went back and ordered the same thing, let her know that they forgot the avocado and bacon yesterday, & she apologized & this time they remembered... later I looked at my receipt to see that they charged me again for the avocado and bacon :( with 1 person's order of 2 crepes ahead of mine, it took 15 mins to get my crepe. We found it a little surprising that in the city that specializes in smoked salmon, there didn't appear to be a ton of bars/restaurants that included it in their menu, but Alaska Crepe saved the day! Walking in, the place is rather unassuming. Feels like a fast casual joint which was okay, but we were hoping for little bit more of an experience. Can't say the food disappointed though. We both got the smoked salmon crepe and it was delicious. Ultimately, I could have used a lot more of the cream cheese and salmon rather than the spinach, but it was still wildly flavorful and handheld so we could continue venturing around the city whilst having a bite.
