My family and I stopped by for breakfast and left with a full belly and a big smile. From the moment I walked in, the service was stellar--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic morning meal. The Food: Everything tasted incredibly fresh, like it had just come off the farm and straight onto my plate. The star of the show? That gravy. Rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned--it was the kind of comfort food that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite. I genuinely ate everything on my plate, and if I could've licked it clean without judgment, I might've. The Price: Spot on. It's rare to find a place where quality and affordability meet so perfectly, but this breakfast hit that sweet spot. No sticker shock--just satisfaction. The View: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Can't beat the view being up on the hill overlooking Ketchikan town. Pretty much every table in the place has an amazing view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a breakfast spot that delivers on flavor, service, and value, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be eating here for breakfast every time we visit.

Been coming to Cape Fox Lodge for over five years, and the Heen Kahidi restaurant has never been better. Whatever changed since last year was perfect. The food was hands down the best we've ever had here. The breakfast, especially the biscuits and gravy, was amazing. Highly recommend!

Breakfast with a view! The lodge itself is amazing and this restaurant definitely has a lodge like vibe to it. The view of downtown Ketchikan while eating your meal is exceptionally wonderful. We had brunch so we arrived after the breakfast rush which was nice, because we got to choose what table we wanted. The food was great and they don't skimp out on the portions! Bacon was cooked pretty well done and lots of fluffy eggs. French toast was good, just warm and not hot. The kids chocolate chip pancakes were huge and had lots of yummy chocolate chips :) Only downfall and why I'm giving a 4 star rating is because the service was slow and the food came out warm.

    Salmon entree.

Came for dinner looking for a place that served salmon entrees. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Got a nice table by the windows to enjoy the views of the harbor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Outstanding service from Spencer. Shared a salmon entree that came with two sides. We got salads for our sides and also broccolini. Salads were very good; however, even though we ordered salmon to be cooked rare it came fully done and then some. Very dry and fishy tasting. They took some off the bill but dinner disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Did see a bald eagle flying around outside of our window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took funicular back down to our place in Creek Street which was convenient.

Terrible. The beer that was served had been poured out of a draft with stale lines. We ordered king crab and it was awful. As you can see from the pictures it looked as though it had been heated over and over again. The shell was soft and the crab was spongy looking. We are from South East Alaska and this is horrid. Worst crab ever.

We have been in Ketchikan for five days and visited at least two Restaurants per day. By far our fave one so far!! Prices good for quality of food. Food was delish, service was great and the view overlooking Ketchikan was very nice.

The food here was good and was a nice break for the touristy part of the port while still being walkable from the port. You could tell this spot was a cozy hotel lodge for local guests. The food was tasty and the service was great! Price was on point with an average US city. Definitely worth a try.

We are staying at the wonderful Cape Fox Lodge in Ketchikan and this is the restaurant inside the lodge. Sometimes hotel restaurants are just ok but that is not the case here. The food is very very good. We ordered a omelet and a skillet breakfast. Our breakfast was perfect as is our stay at the Lodge. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant for all your meals. Don't leave without eating here.

We found this place by accident. Cell service wasn't good, so no Yelp. We just got off the cruise ship and was looking for a place to grab breakfast. This place has free WiFi which was awesome! I got the Lodge Breakfast with bacon. Everything was done the way I ordered it. Eggs were perfect, crisp bacon, excellent hash browns, and a nice biscuit. I also got the French Toast to try and it was fabulous. Perfect pieces with nice golden brown perfection of cinnamon. The waitress was nice and did a great job. I would recommend this place for breakfast!

This place gets one star for poor customer service from our unfriendly waitress who looked like she didn't like her job and it utterly showed." We sat there and patiently waited 25 minutes without any acknowledgement, at least to say sorry , I'll be right with you. They say if you have nothing nice to say then don't say it., so this will be short and direct. Well the black stuff on my shrimp was questionable , waitress says the cook didn't devein the shrimp! That said I didn't eat the rest of my dinner and was just shocked from the way we were treated. It was 4th of July weekend, perhaps the regular crew was out salmon fishing. I don't know yelpers claim this place is great, perhaps breakfast was better. I warned you, you're taking your chance eating here

As it's located…read morein a very busy shopping district and next to the Lumberjack show, this is a popular spot. On a drizzly July day with several cruise ships docked, we waited over 30 minutes during the prime lunch hour to order our food, with the line far outside the door and onto the sidewalk. But the line moves fast and we found seats in the 2nd dining room (there's also outdoor seating weather permitting). The food came quickly, a little over 10 minutes after we ordered. My wife chose the Alaskan Sampler Fish & Chips, with one of each of the 3 fried fish options: Pacific Cod, local Silver Salmon and local Halibut. It also came with a generous portion of fries as well as a side of coleslaw. Of all the fish, the halibut was her favorite. She surprisingly enjoyed the coleslaw, as it was dressed with a house-made vinaigrette and wasn't sweet (like many other places use mayo and relish). There was malt vinegar and ketchup on the tables. My salad had a huge salmon filet covering it, with vinaigrette on the side. It was very filling, and I felt better about myself for choosing a healthier option at port after days of overeating on this cruise. We did order sodas with our meal. There is a self-serve soda fountain with free refills. There is also a small bar inside the dining room where you can order draft beer as well as wine and cocktails.

The place is located close to the pier so very convenient if you are coming from the cruise lines. The place is popular but they do have enough seating that although you may need to wait a bit you can eventually find seating. It's rustic and a fitting place for the kind of food they serve. The crab is ridiculously overpriced. The fish and chips is also expensive but at least you get to pick the fish between salmon, cod or halibut. The breading is slightly thick for my liking but my main problem has to do with the oil. I usually prefer fresher oil. The food is ok. I think the blackened salmon is probably the best bet for most of the items they offer such as the rice bowls or the tacos. You order first and then you get seating. They clean up quickly so if you wait for a table you don't have to wait long. Overall it's a food tourist spot that has overly expensive food but not bad enough to avoid. They have a patio and the interior is rustic fish house style.

He gave great service and great recommendations for the amount of crab legs. We would need for the size of our party. It is pricey, but it's about the same anywhere you go. The food was tasty. The sides were delicious, that you gave us plenty of napkins and butter to go around. I would strongly recommend this place for crab legs. I don't think I would try the salmon or any of the other stuff on their menu, because that is not what they specialize in and you may be disappointed. We had a group of 8; sat fairly quickly for being a packed house. Menu was decent in choices; prices were super high in my opinion for what you got especially with being so close to the water. But I get it tourists... charge more. The crab was delicious and prepared well. But the other items we got were just meh. The clam chowder wasn't anything special and the fish tacos were strange in flavor combos. They didn't mesh; but the fish was cooked nicely. Our waitress was an adorable Asian girl that was really kind and on her A game handling all the tables. Our table was by a kiosk where the waiters come to put in orders and there was a Caucasian guy that worked there that was griping to his coworkers about cruise customers. Basically said I hate when the ships come in and we get all these customers. He just wasn't kind nor seemed like he wanted to be there. So being able to hear that was just off putting.

We saw this taco spot and figured we'd give it a shot. We ordered the blackened shrimp tacos and garlic butter scallop tacos, served with chips and mango salsa, and both were incredible. We're from Southern California and have had our fair share of seafood tacos -- these were some of the best! The chowder had great flavor and the mocha iced coffee hit the spot too. Great sized beer too. We were rushing to make our shuttle, and they got everything out quickly enough for us to enjoy our meal and still make it on time.
