My family and I stopped by for breakfast and left with a full belly and a big smile. From the moment I walked in, the service was stellar--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic morning meal. The Food: Everything tasted incredibly fresh, like it had just come off the farm and straight onto my plate. The star of the show? That gravy. Rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned--it was the kind of comfort food that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite. I genuinely ate everything on my plate, and if I could've licked it clean without judgment, I might've. The Price: Spot on. It's rare to find a place where quality and affordability meet so perfectly, but this breakfast hit that sweet spot. No sticker shock--just satisfaction. The View: Can't beat the view being up on the hill overlooking Ketchikan town. Pretty much every table in the place has an amazing view. If you're looking for a breakfast spot that delivers on flavor, service, and value, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be eating here for breakfast every time we visit.

Been coming to Cape Fox Lodge for over five years, and the Heen Kahidi restaurant has never been better. Whatever changed since last year was perfect. The food was hands down the best we've ever had here. The breakfast, especially the biscuits and gravy, was amazing. Highly recommend!

Breakfast with a view! The lodge itself is amazing and this restaurant definitely has a lodge like vibe to it. The view of downtown Ketchikan while eating your meal is exceptionally wonderful. We had brunch so we arrived after the breakfast rush which was nice, because we got to choose what table we wanted. The food was great and they don't skimp out on the portions! Bacon was cooked pretty well done and lots of fluffy eggs. French toast was good, just warm and not hot. The kids chocolate chip pancakes were huge and had lots of yummy chocolate chips :) Only downfall and why I'm giving a 4 star rating is because the service was slow and the food came out warm.

    Salmon entree.

Came for dinner looking for a place that served salmon entrees. Got a nice table by the windows to enjoy the views of the harbor. Outstanding service from Spencer. Shared a salmon entree that came with two sides. We got salads for our sides and also broccolini. Salads were very good; however, even though we ordered salmon to be cooked rare it came fully done and then some. Very dry and fishy tasting. They took some off the bill but dinner disappointing. Did see a bald eagle flying around outside of our window. Took funicular back down to our place in Creek Street which was convenient.

Terrible. The beer that was served had been poured out of a draft with stale lines. We ordered king crab and it was awful. As you can see from the pictures it looked as though it had been heated over and over again. The shell was soft and the crab was spongy looking. We are from South East Alaska and this is horrid. Worst crab ever.

We have been in Ketchikan for five days and visited at least two Restaurants per day. By far our fave one so far!! Prices good for quality of food. Food was delish, service was great and the view overlooking Ketchikan was very nice.

The food here was good and was a nice break for the touristy part of the port while still being walkable from the port. You could tell this spot was a cozy hotel lodge for local guests. The food was tasty and the service was great! Price was on point with an average US city. Definitely worth a try.

We are staying at the wonderful Cape Fox Lodge in Ketchikan and this is the restaurant inside the lodge. Sometimes hotel restaurants are just ok but that is not the case here. The food is very very good. We ordered a omelet and a skillet breakfast. Our breakfast was perfect as is our stay at the Lodge. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant for all your meals. Don't leave without eating here.

We found this place by accident. Cell service wasn't good, so no Yelp. We just got off the cruise ship and was looking for a place to grab breakfast. This place has free WiFi which was awesome! I got the Lodge Breakfast with bacon. Everything was done the way I ordered it. Eggs were perfect, crisp bacon, excellent hash browns, and a nice biscuit. I also got the French Toast to try and it was fabulous. Perfect pieces with nice golden brown perfection of cinnamon. The waitress was nice and did a great job. I would recommend this place for breakfast!

This place gets one star for poor customer service from our unfriendly waitress who looked like she didn't like her job and it utterly showed." We sat there and patiently waited 25 minutes without any acknowledgement, at least to say sorry , I'll be right with you. They say if you have nothing nice to say then don't say it., so this will be short and direct. Well the black stuff on my shrimp was questionable , waitress says the cook didn't devein the shrimp! That said I didn't eat the rest of my dinner and was just shocked from the way we were treated. It was 4th of July weekend, perhaps the regular crew was out salmon fishing. I don't know yelpers claim this place is great, perhaps breakfast was better. I warned you, you're taking your chance eating here

Once inside, you place your order at the counter and are seated afterward. One thing to note: if you're a smaller party and the restaurant is busy, you may be seated with other guests. It felt a little unusual at first, but it wasn't a big deal. My husband ordered the Dungeness crab, and I went with the Alaska Sampler, which features three different types of fish served fish-and-chips style. The fries are their signature mesquite-seasoned fries, and honestly, they worked perfectly with the seafood. As someone currently working on a YouTube video about our Alaska cruise experience, I can honestly say this was some of the best fish and chips I had during our trip. My husband also loved his crab and said the meat was incredibly fresh, tender, and flavorful. They don't sell alcohol at the ordering counter, but once you're seated, there's a small bar in the back where you can purchase drinks. We tried the Double Shovel Appalanche Cider and absolutely loved it. Overall, aside from the communal seating, we really enjoyed our experience. I especially appreciated their unique take on fish and chips. Being originally from Cape Cod, I take my seafood pretty seriously, and this place definitely delivered!

The place is bigger than it looks as there are two dining areas. You order and pay at the counter. We went overboard and ordered three entrees of fish and chips because that's what they feature. Deep-fried Salmon, DF Cod, and DF Halibut. Plus, we tried their Smoked Salmon chowder. Cod was the best, Salmon was weird, and Halibut was good. The fries and chowder were also decent. Overall, we had a fine meal but nothing really stood out as outstanding.

The crab was ok, honestly tasted like the much much cheaper snow crab to me, wasn't worth the cost but still part of the Alaskan experience. The crab cake was pretty small, good but small. The chowder was pretty thick and gravy like from chowders I've had. The food was good, nothing worth going back for, but good for the experience. This is where we go from a 3-4 star review to a 1-2 star review. I'm being nice. When the check came they added a 20 percent auto gratuity. I usually do 20% but when it's a single combo plate and the majority of the plate is one thawed crab leg.... Come on , really!!! Do an auto 15% maybe 18% with the option of adding more. That's the standard. What got me was a 4% service fee. I asked what it was for and the employee told me ," we don't get that, I guess it's for the kitchen staff or the owner, I don't really know". Why am I paying a service fee for .... Well nothing! (Crab legs are about $100 each which is the average price ) so $4 per crab leg goes to the evil greedy owner. So $4x 8 legs on a crab = about $32 per crab just because . Tax... expected and the law. But a credit card fee.... Even for debit (against the law). Not looking so good for the owner. So to sum it up Food was good, nothing to celebrate about. I actually can't complain about the service , it was good. But the extra fees are where the ship sinks. Stop taking advantage of tourists and your restaurant won't be empty, and it was very empty when I was there. Should have seen it as a red flag . Do better!!!
