Yea don't come here after hours. You'll not be able get in with their shitty app. Called Uber here in the early morning and standing in front of their gate dealing with their shitty app for half an hour and still no luck to get in. No instructions nothing. Straight not working

An amazing gym with great staff! Seriously. If you are looking for a REAL gym with impressive variety of equipment then look no further. One of the few gyms that left a huge impression on me and has helped me achieve my fitness goals! The staff actually, pardon the language, gives a shit about you. Which is tough to come by these days. From the receptionists to the trainers, they all made an intrinsic part of the team, and have all made a big impact in my life! Roy will always put a smile on your face. Shannon will give it to you straight and give you a no nonsense plan to get you the results you want, she's walking proof through her own lifestyle! Shoutout to all the employees former and current! Roy, Kat, James, Jack, Chanel, Ben, Anthony, Lauren, Shannon, Bryan, and Charlee youre all the best! When I first came to the gym I had a BMI of 30% and dropped to 16%, in one year, here are some photos of me 3 years ago to today, so you know I've been through my own journey. I took it seriously, and in turn they took me seriously and helped me out so much. Much love!

Unsolicited email spam filled with emojis.

I was denied a refund after providing adequete information for a military related relocation. This was in 2018. Since then I have moved out of state and never returned. I have also tried to unsubscribe multiple times from what i would describe as overly aggressive predatory emails. Yesterday I got spammed with 5 emails over the course of 6 hours. Do I need to start spamming reviews and the Better Business Beureu for you to take a hint?

Other gyms for this cost or less have saunas, tanning, pools, yoga studios, classes, etc. Not here. The two newest staff members are very unpleasant with one of the girls going as far as chasing you down anytime shes away from the desk when you scan in and practically accusing you of not being a member. On top of that the same girl has a habit of putting things away before anyone is finished, I've seen her do this to the point someone will eventually yell at her. Any time you step away to grab water, go to the bathroom, or even just walk around in between sets she immediately cleans up after you even if it's obvious you're not done. She also seems to think everyone should workout in 100% silence so if the weights ever make any noise or if someone makes even a quiet grunt she'll tell the manager who then calls you to say there's been noise complaints about you (which is funny because whenever I've gone there's either people that are much louder or there's not a single person in the building so I'd love to know where the complaints are from). It's really not worth the price.

I asked the front desk and was told they were closing things for reupholstering, and that someone would check on the timeline and give me a call. No one ever did. I followed up--no response. I left a voicemail to the general manager directly and never heard back. Then today there was water leaking from the ceiling in the pool room by the wall. I noticed when it dripped on me and saw there was already a big puddle on the floor. There were multiple holes/cracks in the ceiling and evident water damage. I told the front desk, one person followed me to have me point it out, then left. Forty-five minutes later nothing had been done no signs, bucket, cleanup, etc despite a bunch of extra staff around for a Nordic spa event. Staff were also talking about the steam room in the locker room being down but the one in the Nordic spa was working. It really feels like all the attention is on the new Nordic spa while the rest of the facility is suffering. Overall, just really poor communication and lack of upkeep.

I recently visited the new Nordic spa at the Alaska Club East. The pools and saunas themselves were…read moreclean and well maintained, and I'm glad Anchorage has another Nordic-style spa option. However, there were several aspects of the experience that made it fall short for me, especially considering the non-member price point. The biggest issue was the changing room setup. I did not realize the spa uses the regular gym locker room rather than having a separate spa-only locker and bathroom area. There was very little privacy for changing, which really took away from the relaxing spa atmosphere. I also had no idea guests are expected to bring their own lock for the lockers. The FAQ mentions bringing sandals, but I never saw anything mentioning needing a lock. At Alyeska Nordic Spa, lockers are already provided and ready to use, so I assumed this would be similar. I wanted to change in the shower or bathroom stalls for more privacy, but both were extremely small and narrow with nowhere to hang a bag or place belongings while changing. There really needs to be a more functional and private setup for the spa. I also think the spa would benefit from a private entrance for spa guests instead of entering through the gym itself, aside from existing gym members. It would immediately make the experience feel more elevated. There also should be a bathroom directly inside the spa area so guests don't have to return through the locker room/gym spaces during their visit. Atmosphere-wise, it feels much simpler than other Nordic spas. The wood fencing around the spa is a nice natural color but doesn't create the immersive feeling of being surrounded by nature as is what a Nordic spa is all about, like how Alyeska does. My other major issue is the pricing. At $95 for 90 minutes for non-members, it feels extremely overpriced for the overall experience offered. For comparison, Alyeska Nordic Spa is around $120 for a full-day luxury experience 10am-9pm with significantly more amenities, a much more seamless setup, and a far more immersive atmosphere. I understand this is a different type of facility, but the pricing should better reflect the size, amenities, and overall experience being provided. Personally I think a non member price of $55 would have been much more reasonable. Overall, it was clean and enjoyable in some ways, but it felt more like an enjoyable outdoor pool/hot tub experience. There are definitely improvements that could make the experience feel more polished, spa like, and more worth the current cost.
