Such an amazing atmosphere! I first started spinning here and honestly fell in love instantly. Their classes are superior to any others I have been to at other studios. Each instructor has a different personality, so there is something for everyone. Their app is also amazing and makes booking bikes super easy. The studio itself is extremely clean and inviting. It'll feel like you're having a dance party on the bike, while getting your butt kicked in a workout! Ok. I used to make fun of spin. I thought it was silly to pay for a membership to ride your bike indoors. A coworker convinced me to try it out with her and I was shocked on how much fun I had. Legit SHOCKED. It was an intense 45 minutes of loud music, insane cardio, and inspirational wall decor quotes thrown at you. I was hooked. I can see how people become addicted to this, I had the same feeling as I get when I gamble. It may have something to do with the lights and loud beats. I don't fit the perceived "look" of an avid spinner and I thought that I wouldn't fit in, but the staff was super welcoming and no one made fun of me when I showed up in frumpy gym gear. I call that a win. Also, no pressure. No one hounds you to become a member. They don't call you every ten minutes. You can try out a month for under $50, but that bumps up to over $100 if you wish to continue going. I'll take it though, there is no other way you'll get me to burn 400 calories in 45 minutes willingly with a smile. read more

The only (which makes it the best) cycling/spinning place in Anchorage! I moved here from CA and was pretty bummed to see that there's only ONE cycling place and they were pretty expensive. After much debate, I finally decided to try it! Worth it! They have plenty of classes throughout the day which makes it super convenient. There is a lot of parking and the staff is always super friendly. Pros: + The place itself is very well maintained. It's always clean and tidy. + Lockers with electronic locks for personal use (no extra fee to use them!) + 48 bikes which means there is plenty of spaces in the class (although i'm usually waitlist at first, but people always end up cancelling. I've never had a time that I wasn't able to get into the class from the waitlist.) + Friendly front staff + Free gum! Cons: + There's only one bathroom in the women's locker room + The classes are pretty pricey than what I'm used to. ($20 for drop-in or $88 cycle only unlimited month membership) My personal favorite instructors are... + Beth Childress (upbeat modern rap/rock music) + Aspen Raney (awesome bike choreography) Overall: I absolutely love this place and would recommend anyone who is interested in cycling to take a class! read more

I've been a member for almost 3 years now and the only regret was that I felt too intimidated to go in the first place. I've watched this place evolve and grow so much. We now have the newest and latest bikes. We have wide array of motivators for you to find your preference- the classes are scheduled throughout the day so you can accommodate yourself. I've found the opportunity to try ALL motivators as I know no one is alike and I'm glad I did! You may notice different kind of classes: "OneRide" and "PowerRide." OneRide is the signature class with weights routine at near end of class. PowerRide..the name speaks for itself! It's a hi tech class where you pedal and you see your energy points onscreen...a great motivator/accountability tool! If you are a first timer, you will be "fitted" for your bike accordingly to your height. You will be given rental shoes (yes there are "cycle shoes" that click in/clip in). You will be provided with towel in class because you WILL SWEAT a lot. You can decide if you want to ride closer to the front row or stay in back and absorb it all in. You get to control your resistance...say if you want to push harder, you crank it up! If you are scheduled and not feeling it- you can turn it up a bit by a bit. That's the best part about this studio! YOU are accountable for your own ride and you get to decide for yourself. The room is fun, loud (I see people wearing earplugs which is provided for free..not a problem for a deaf rider like myself hehe) and has colorful lights!And I'll confirm that ALL WALKS OF LIFE comes here. No specific group of people with certain appearance/body type. But there is only one group that goes to Anchorage Cycle I'll be honest...THE GROUP THAT WANTS TO HAVE FUN! :) read more

Anchorage Cycle is an incredibly inviting and fun fitness atmosphere filled with kind hearted, encouraging employees and instructors. In my experience, the AC community is very helpful and passionate about ensuring guests and members are well introduced to their bikes and the facility. I went to this place three times while in town for my big Alaskan adventure last week (Denali was pretty cool too). Purchased the "visitor's special" - 3 classes for $48. Being from CA, I've sampled all kinds of indoor cycling studios from the corporate heavy hitters to the mom & pops, and Anchorage Cycle outshines many of them. Charismatic and motivating instructors (I had Aspen, Erica, and Courtney), solid playlists, and friendly staff. The classes I attended were rhythm based and heavy on the upper body moves, e.g. tap backs, where you ride to beat and spend a lot of time going back and forth in and out of the saddle. Lots of fun and I forgot I was even working out. I'll be back the next time I'm in Anchorage! read more

Stopped by anchorage cycle multiple times on my business trip to Alaska. Great place for a quick workout. Coming from LA, i think this place is a step above soul cycle cause it seems more authentic. Just my opinion though. I recommend the power ride as I think it's their best class. I'll be back next time I visit anchorage. read more

Tried Aerial Yoga for the first time, I was a bit hesitant hanging using the soft fabric hammock, but the instructor was extremely patient and helpful that eventually I got the hang of it. Dre is an awesome instructor and I just love the way she teaches the newbies - surely will start coming back as soon as semester ends, wish people take advantage of this so they can add more classes to include weekends!
