The window seats at the tables are first come, first served, so that's something to keep in mind. The service was good, and everyone throughout the tour was very helpful and kind. The captain and crew were great and provided lots of interesting information about the surrounding area, wildlife, and glaciers. They also offered a tequila tasting when we reached the glacier area, with the tequila served over glacier ice, which was a unique touch. At the end of the cruise, they gave us a complimentary brownie, which was a nice little treat. Drink price and quality plus hot dog that we ordered were good. When booking online, we had the option to choose our meal, and we requested a gluten-free turkey club. Unfortunately, when our section was called for food, the gluten-free meal wasn't ready and took quite a while to arrive. Also the regular snack option included chips and a granola bar, while the gluten-free option came with two bags of chips instead. It would have been nice to have a little more variety for the gluten-free option. Overall, we really enjoyed the cruise, the scenery, and the wonderful staff. It was a memorable experience and I would recommend it.

Unexpectedly, we ended up being the only guests as others had backed out. We started out of Seward with a nice trip from Anchorage with Joan and Jeff as our shuttle team. They were both very personable and a pleasure to make the trip with to Seward. We were greeted with champagne and quickly got underway. Our accommodations were exactly as described in the Master suite. After two days of being wined and dined, we finally had to say, the "food is amazing, but we don't eat this much in a day. We need to slow down on the amount" LOL Certainly all you could possibly eat and nicely prepared. En En set beautiful tables for every meal and and our wine glasses were never dry. The weather was not the best for the first few days, so with everyone's agreement, we decided to roll the dice and cross the Gulf of Alaska to head towards Whittier. At that point, the weather became amazing, we did kayaking and had a 13,000 year old cocktail (Bourbon on Glacier ice). Who knew we would go to Alaska to get a tan? We spent the entire time cruising out on the deck getting sun. Captain Al and his team were wonderful hosts. I guess I could address every complaint that has been posted, but I'm not going to give it much credibility by spending any time on it. Yes, the boat is not brand new, but we had no issues on board (except the battery, but that's a little joke between Captain Al and us.). I can't speak to any of the other accommodations because we did not see or use them, but there were absolutely no complaints with ours. We are already considering the possibility of taking friends and going again some time. Thanks for everything Captain Al, En En and Christian! It was the trip of a lifetime! Thanks for being a part of it! Lori and Bob

I booked the day before, the morning of the owner texted me to confirm that I would be picked up at my Airbnb, Billy texted me notifying me when he was on his way. He was kind, responsive, full of information, considerate, and willing to tailor the speed and details to the needs of the group. He truly made this trip enjoyable. Van ride to the glacier is about 100 miles, we stopped at a gas station about half way. We stopped twice for two photo opportunities, and then made our way to the glacier gift shop to sign waivers. Then drove down to the launch point of the trek. There are ample bathrooms down there. Billy did not accompany us on the glacier but that was okay, our guide at the glacier was super sweet and knowledgeable. I felt more than safe! You walk across a floating bridge to get your microspikes and then we spent about 2-2.5 hours trekking the glacier. You do spend most of the hike on the rocky surface, but we did a pretty steep climb on the blue ice to get to the top of our area, we drank glacier water (amazing) and then saw the base of the glacier which was stunning. Post trek we returned to the tent and met up with Billy, he had snacks waiting for us and then drove us up to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we made the drive back, and again Billy was willing to accommodate different drop off points.

Hotel pickup was super helpful since we didn't rent a vehicle. Lori made a bathroom/coffee stop 45 minutes into the drive. We stopped at a local coffee shop which was so thoughtful instead of stopping at your typical gas station. Afterwards we arrived at our destination for the dog sled tour. We went during the winter and it gets very cold when you are moving on the sled! We are from Arizona so we didn't have snow boots or other items on hand. Luckily snow shoes, heavy gloves, beanies, etc were provided for us to change into so that we stayed nice and warm on the sled. We were paired up and got the chance to sit down and ride in the front of the sled which was perfect for taking videos and pictures. And the other person had the chance to stand up at the back of the sled. We warmed up with a delicious lunch at a nearby lodge and made our way back to Anchorage. Overall, we had such a great day thanks to Lori and the dog mushers. It was truly a one of a kind experience! Highly recommend 907 Tours.

From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by people who were genuinely kind, welcoming, professional, and full of positive energy. Every person we encountered went above and beyond, and it made an already incredible experience feel truly magical. Ashley was our driver, and we absolutely loved having her with us. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wonderful to spend time with. She made us feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. Sam was our pilot, and I have to admit, I was nervous! But he was absolutely fantastic. He made the flight feel smooth, safe, and so much fun. I'll never forget looking out at the breathtaking Alaskan scenery and realizing I was actually experiencing something I had only dreamed about. And then there was Maddie, our dog sled musher. She was AMAZING! She was so cool, so knowledgeable, and such a perfect match for us. We loved her energy and her personality, and you could truly feel the love she has for what she does. Learning from her and experiencing the dogs up close was something I will carry with me for a very long time. Honestly, the scenery was breathtaking, the adventure was unforgettable, and the entire experience was incredible--but it was the PEOPLE who made it truly special. Ashley, Sam, Maddie, and everyone behind the scenes: thank you for putting so much heart into what you do. You gave us memories that we will talk about for years to come. If you are considering this excursion, DO IT! You get so much more than you think you're getting. You get an experience filled with adventure, beauty, kindness, laughter, and people who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable. Absolutely 5 stars!

Alaska Coastal Wildlife and Brown Bears…read more I did this tour in August 2023. It is a photography-centric tour and it lived up to the hype. We had bears. Lots of bears. Bear cubs. Carl Donohue was our Expedition Leader and did a great job. It was great to have someone with tons of bear experience, as it was close sometimes! It was a boat-based tour so that we would have the freedom to move to where the bears are. Day one we had bears. Day two we had weather, lots of weather. We were in Alaska after all. From there on out we were in bear heaven. I shot literally thousands of images (shooting at 30 frames per second will do that) and I really struggled to delete down to the 400 or so that I'm at now. It's tough to delete amazing photos because you have some that are even more amazing and you just don't need them all. The boat (yacht?) at 98 feet was super comfortable for our small group of photographers. The crew was awesome and the food was very good, certainly more than you would expect for a boat-based trip. I can't imagine how good you have to be at planning to pull that off. Every day I took "shot of a lifetime" photos of bears.

The first was the Bald Eagles in Haines in November 2022. Recently, in April 2023, I went on the Hungry Whales trip in Sitka, photographing bubble-net feeding whales. In both cases the awesome photo opportunities far exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for creature comforts go on an Alaska Cruise. If you are a dedicated photographer, seeking unique photos, stick with Carl. He does his best to connect you with the subjects and help you capture those stunning shots you seek. If other opportunities arise, such as eagles feeding on fish in the whale tour, you'll get those as well. I strongly recommend Expeditions Alaska for your photo needs in this beautiful state.
