I've had my own Snap-On Ratcheting Soft Grip Screwdriver and used it daily at work for 25 years. When I called the number on the Snap-On Yelp page, I got a "Hello." I had to ask, "Is this Snap-On?" I asked if he had a vacuum gauge and he said yes. OTC, not Snap-On. Oh well. I'm sure it will work fine. And when I met up with Stan in his truck, he was super apologetic for being "rude". Honestly, I'm surprised he even picked up. My cell number isn't local. I rarely answer out of state calls on my work phone. Anyway, he had the gauge set out and ready to go. The last truck I bought from threw in a hat and shirt. But I was just glad to find him less than 15 minutes away.

I left a strong, five-star review soon after we purchased our 2017 Lexus RX350. The car was great…read morefor the first six years we owned it and I had no issues with Kendall's servicing of our car. However, starting in the fall of 2022 all of that changed. I doubt if I would buy another car from Kendall or another Lexus. The most significant reason we bought our Lexus initially was for all the advanced safety features. Other important reasons were the Enform app which included remote start and monitoring of the car, and that we were able to reserve a loaner car when we brought the car in for repair or service. In the fall of 2022 Lexus dropped support of the Enform app stating that this was because it was based on 3G which was no longer supported. I was able to quickly find an after market solution that was better than Enform, with a cheaper annual fee, for about $600. It would have been good of Lexus, who probably could have gotten this, or a similar solution in bulk far cheaper. I would have been glad to pay half of that cost, if Lexus would have been more accommodating and concerned about their customers. At the same time Kendall indicated they had cut back the number of loaner cars and that we could no longer make a reservation--first come first serve, which effectively makes this service useless. Soon thereafter I needed routine brake job. I was quoted $2,500, which shocked me. I got excellent, guaranteed brake job at a dealer I have a long standing relationship with for $700 less. Also, my auto dim switch was acting up. The service manager indicated they could not figure out how to fix it and would research this and get back to me. The service rep promised she would call me the next Monday. That was two years ago. I have never heard from either of them. I wrote a thoughtful, polite letter to the General Manager expressing my frustrations and asking him to consider talking to me about this. I never heard back. I wrote a second letter, a month later. This time the Service Manager called because "he was told to". He obviously didn't want to talk to me, he had nothing to add, he was not interested in listening to me and discussing the matter. It would have been better off if he had never called me. I then wrote a letter to the head of Lexus of America. I explained my problems and provided him copies of what I had sent to Kendall. Again I have heard nothing. I have subsequentially sold the car. I doubt I will ever buy a product from Kendall or Lexus again, which is too bad. We liked the car.

Yeah, I suppose you could say that our Alaskan family is very satisfied with Continental Subaru, the products they sell, and the on-going vehicle service they provide. When my daughter and I walked into Continental's showroom last month, we weren't really there to buy anything yet, just look at the newest Subaru models since both of our Subarus were over 10 years old (and still going strong!). Ricky greeted us and really listened as we climbed into the cars and critiqued each model. He was very knowledgeable about the current car models and their features, and also with older models and how they'd evolved. The pivotal moment came when I was lamenting that none of the new models we'd seen were quite what I was hoping for. That's when Ricky pulled the rabbit out of his hat and showed us the 2026 Outback Wilderness - in blue! I fell in love and took it. Several weeks later and I'm getting to know Big Blue, which is far from the "computer on wheels" that I was afraid it would be. We've learned from decades of experience with Subaru and Continental that we have a vehicle that will last a long time and a dealership that will support us.

The man in charge of the maintenance department was a tall skinny black man. He told me it was going to be a certain amount of time. (That morning my boss called me and told me I needed to come in earlier. He would constantly do that to me). So I asked the man at the maintenance department if my car would be available at the time they stated. He said it would be a little longer. I asked him if they could shuttle me to work and they did. The next day I picked up my vehicle. Not only was the recall issue not addressed, but my air conditioner no longer worked! That guy was so upset with me that he intentionally messed with my 2019 Impreza. I will never again give this place business.

I guess that's why it's in the name! They were patient with me while I went through the loan process and held the vehicle for me while I was finishing up paperwork all over town even though it had a lot off interest. Of course they offered me assistance with this too! As far as trade-in values you won't find a complaint from me! The big dealerships are a joke as far as trade-in values so I like to go to "the little guys." I got exactly what I wanted for trade-in. Another great thing is they do not harass you the moment you drive onto their lot to look, which I love. It's stressful and it can make me feel like prey around sharks when that happens, so bravo to Quality for that! If you have an inquiry you just head inside and anyone is willing to help you. Test drives are easy to do as well with just a copy of your license. They will let you take it out solo (with some exceptions they have to ride along) which I find also great because it's more relaxing to me to get a feel for the vehicle and not worry about awkward small talk with a stranger. My family and I have been loyal Toyota and Lexus owners for many years, and we have consistently chosen these brands because of their quality, reliability, and the positive experiences we've had in the past. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different. Several weeks ago, we began the purchase process on a 2025 Toyota 4Runner. From the very beginning, Kendall made us feel as though they were doing us a favor by selling us a $56,000 vehicle. The original sales manager repeatedly tried to sell me vehicles that I had no interest in and then told me that the specific vehicle we wanted was not available to view or test drive. When we asked if we could at least look inside it, we were told the keys were "missing." We later discovered that the vehicle had broken parts and smelled as though something had been spilled inside. When we asked if another 4Runner was available, we were told there were no other comparable vehicles, which ultimately proved to be untrue. Despite these issues, we reluctantly moved forward with the purchase of a second 4Runner that a different sales manager "found" on the lot that the first salesperson said was not available..... Today, when we called to ask when we could pick up the vehicle, we were told that the service department was "backed up because they were assisting customers who had placed deposits on vehicles." We paid for our vehicle in full with cash, yet it apparently became a lower priority once the sale was completed. Thankfully, Kumbi Jarvis and Yaz Sakar became involved at the last minute. They significantly improved what had otherwise been an extremely disappointing buying experience and demonstrated the level of professionalism and customer service we had expected from the beginning. They deserve recognition for their efforts. Unfortunately, despite having a few exceptional employees, this experience left me with the impression that Kendall is more focused on maximizing profits than on providing a quality customer experience. As longtime Toyota and Lexus loyalists who have purchased multiple vehicles from Kendall, we never expected to be treated this way. Based on this experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from Kendall, and I will likely take my future business elsewhere--even if that means looking beyond Toyota and Lexus, as Kendall has the monopoly in Alaska.
