We just purchased our 4th Subaru vehicle from Continental Subaru in Anchorage. Our adult children have purchased 3 Subaru vehicles. Yeah, I suppose you could say that our Alaskan family is very satisfied with Continental Subaru, the products they sell, and the on-going vehicle service they provide. When my daughter and I walked into Continental's showroom last month, we weren't really there to buy anything yet, just look at the newest Subaru models since both of our Subarus were over 10 years old (and still going strong!). Ricky greeted us and really listened as we climbed into the cars and critiqued each model. He was very knowledgeable about the current car models and their features, and also with older models and how they'd evolved. The pivotal moment came when I was lamenting that none of the new models we'd seen were quite what I was hoping for. That's when Ricky pulled the rabbit out of his hat and showed us the 2026 Outback Wilderness - in blue! I fell in love and took it. Several weeks later and I'm getting to know Big Blue, which is far from the "computer on wheels" that I was afraid it would be. We've learned from decades of experience with Subaru and Continental that we have a vehicle that will last a long time and a dealership that will support us. read more

My 2021 Crosstrek Subaru has been through 3 batteries due to a faulty DCM fuse that has been recalled on earlier models. I have been to Continental Subaru twice and been told both times the fuse is not the problem. I went to another auto shop and was told it was the DCM fuse but Continental Subaru discounted them. I was told that I will have to pay $2400 to have the fuse replaced. Since the other auto place pulled the fuse, the car has been doing well but I want to have the DCM fuse repaired. I owned and loved Subarus most of my life. Sad. Anyone else with this problem? read more

I honestly was getting ready to give these folks a five star rating but it's been demoted to three. First the good stuff, they are always fast and affordable when it comes to drive up oil and light changes so that's a bonus, the staff at the front is super nice and always really helpful also. The inside is clean and it's a nice place to wait for your quick oil changes etc. they are also good at making sure you understand what if any other services are needed. All in all I've historically had a good experience with these folks. But today was a tad different, the service went smooth, I have repairs that are needed so they booked me ASAP ( all good experiences) But when I got into my car and drove home I noticed that they had gone through my glove box and center consul, how did I notice?? Well they threw everything that was in there onto the floorboards of the passenger side of my vehicle, there was absolutely no need to do this for an oil change, and even if they needed to, for some reason get into those spaces, don't just throw everything onto the floorboards of the car and leave it!!! I'm honestly pretty irritated at this UGH! I did call them and let them know that this happened, the front desk said they would pass the information on to the correct admin people. I bought a used Subaru 2017 from Continental Subaru, I thought they were very reputable,but I was mistaken. I drove the car for four months and it started making loud noises in the front. I brought it to Continental and they did a full diagnostic on it. It turns out it needed roters brake pads and a rear axle. One would think that before they even sold the car they would have done this diagnostic. Perhaps they did and knew they were selling a lemon. An as is sale. Four months was all it lasted. Quoted 1000 dollars for a brake job. Tried to scare my wife during an oil change - said that it was unsafe to drive home. Curious - are you replacing all 4 corners on an Outback with Baer brake calipers (not). Because that's the only thing that justifies a cool grand for 200 dollars worth of parts and an hour of labor. I'll do it myself instead. Pads and rotors are under 200 bucks. I dare you (lurking continental manager) to come back on here and tell me that calipers must be replaced too. What a joke. Continental Subaru - Brake / Rotor replacement, a one hour job - Auto Repair Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Initially, the sales experience seemed decent enough. I wanted to buy a new Outback and had cash in hand ready to pay in full. This was back in late summer of 2022 when there was a vehicle shortage with virtually no new vehicles on the dealership lot, and with a minimum 3-4 month waiting period if placing an order. However, I needed an AWD vehicle before the first snowfall and couldn't afford to wait (my previous vehicle had unexpectantly broken down right before going to the dealership). I talked with two separate salespeople; they gave me their card and said they would stay in touch with me. I gave them my contact info, and texted their number per the instructions on the card. I received zero replies from both of them. I called them a couple of times back to see if they had anything, and they simply said no. I asked them how I would know if a vehicle was available (either through an order cancellation or some other miraculous means in their inventory process), and they said to keep calling back. Which I wasn't willing to do, to call at least 3 times a day to see if there was an update in their inventory. Seems very inefficient to me and a waste of both our times. So, I ended up calling a Subaru dealership in Seattle, getting an Outback in about a month, flew down to Seattle, and drove for about a week through the ALCAN back to Anchorage. The salesperson at the dealership in Seattle was 100 times better. It was great. They had the same problem with barely having any new vehicles on the lot, but they still treated me like a decent human being. The salespeople here at Continental though... they just didn't seem to care at all, since there was nothing in it for them with Subarus flying off the lot as soon as it appeared. I get it... why put in the effort when the cars sell themselves? They're good cars. It's just not a great experience when you go to a dealership wanting to buy a car, but talking to salespeople that just don't care, are generally apathetic, and pretty much ignore you. read more

In 2019, I bought a brand new outback from this dealership with 9 miles on it. Currently, it is still under warranty. (I even gave them a 5 star review for the sale) Around June, I noticed a strong shaking when I started the engine. After a 6 hour diagnostic, Continental Subaru's service dept told me that I needed a new air compressor, new cabin air filter and oil change. They politely asked me to wait another 2 hours to "get it all taken care of together". When I went to pay, they told me they only did the oil change and ordered the parts for the air compressor. Basically, I waited 6 hours for an oil change and overpriced cabin filter that day. I came back the following week and waited another 6 hours to install my new air compressor. 5 mins after driving off the lot (at the Tudor intersection), there is a loud banging under the hood. The A/C belt had frayed and snapped apart into 3 pieces. Refrigerant had completely leaked out of the car and now the car is shaking and hissing. I drove it back and the service manager was extremely rude trying to convince me that somehow this was my fault and the belt was just a little loose and "it happens all the time". Umm...I may not know a lot about cars, but there is a 5 inch broken section of belt sticking to the underside of the hood. I would not consider that "loose". It is broken. Hours later, I'm informed they need to talk to the mechanic who originally diagnosed the problem but he was on vacation and I would have to come back in another week. I had to leave my car there for another week because now "it is no longer safe to drive". A week later, they call to say "Your A/C is running super cold and we put in brand new parts. Everything is covered under warranty. You're good to go! " he even apologized for the hassle. I was not convinced , but eager to get the hell out of there. 30 mins after driving off the lot, the car starts to shake again. Nope. Not going back. Terrified of going back and having them break something else, I drove home and decided to find another mechanic. Yesterday, a lady from Continental Subaru called to tell me "your parts just arrived". DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! In the fall of 2019 I took my 2009 Subaru Forester into Continental Subaru for basic maintenance and they told me that I needed to have my head gaskets replaced. They quoted me approximately $2,300.00 for the head gaskets, timing belt and water pump. A few weeks after I dropped it off they call me and tell me that one of the heads is cracked??? and that it needs to be re surfaced and now my bill is approximately $3,800.00. I have no problem paying a shop to do the work I requested! My issue started approximately 4,000 miles after it left their shop, the engine seized. So I had to have it towed over 300 miles(so expensive) to a different Subaru dealer and the service manager there told me that the work that Continental Subaru did on my car was negligent and that I ought to file a lawsuit against them to recover my losses. My attempts to contact~ANYONE~here about the blown engine were basically pointless and I was told to stop trying to contact them. I got multiple opinions from numerous Subaru dealer shops and Subaru corporate told me that they weren't able to help. I ultimately decided that I couldn't afford a lawyer to fight them, and I'm young I work as a wildland firefighter in the summer and a backcountry river guide in the winter so I don't even have the kind of lifestyle that affords me the free time to use my cell phone regularly let alone deal with something like this and no one should have to. So even if Continental Subaru never does what is right and warranties the work they did or pays for an engine to replace the one they ruined, maybe this review will help someone else steer very clear of them. read more

I paid approximately 30,000 CASH for a Forester on Friday, January 12. Let me say from the get go that our salesman, Dedrick Pouncy was professional, pleasant, super helpful, a really wonderful young man. While test driving the Forester, my sister, Dedrick and I all commented on a dirty spot next to the visor. Dedrick explained that this was probably from the driver at the pier or some such thing. We all agreed and also agreed that it could be cleaned, so we never gave it much more thought. I fell in love with the car, ultimately paid cash for it and then let Dedrick know that I would just wait for delivery until the studs, remote start and canvas trunk cover were installed. I was contacted and told that the car would be available for pick up and although Dedrick offered to meet me on Wednesday, his day off, I told him that no, I wanted him to have his day off with his family and I would be thrilled to pick it up on Thursday--today. When I arrived with my sister we wanted to know if the dirty spot had been cleaned--they had had an extra week to do it after all. It had not been done and Dedrick has asked them to clean it today. After the initial cleaning it was still not okay. Ultimately, the spot was scrubbed so hard that the fabric was rubbed away and turned into fuzz. I told Dedrick I was sorry, but that I had waited a very long time to buy a new car and I was not going to accept a damaged vehicle. The damage to the fabric was in my line of sight and every time I got in the car it was going to be right there mocking me. When he went to discuss the matter with Steve, the General Sales Manager, my sister and I heard Steve and another guy in the office say to each other that if we did not like it we could walk--Keep in mind they had my money already. While we waited for Steve to actually come talk to us, my sister and I discussed what would be acceptable to us since I was not accepting a damaged vehicle. Among the solutions that we were amenable to were that they could order another one and I would gladly wait since I loved this car, I would be willing to upgrade if we could meet halfway on the price point; we were certain Steve, the General Sales Manager would want to find a solution--Remember, they had my money. When Steve made his way over to us he did not apologize for the inconvenience, he did not ask what we would consider as a solution, rather he told us that they would put a new ceiling panel in the car. Unfortunately these types of fixes just do not ever fit as well as when put in in the factory and after waiting 18 years to buy a new car I was not enthused about be expected to settle for such a solution. Sensing my hesitation and lack on enthusiasm for this "solution" Steve then proceeded to tell me that I should look at all the other cars on the road and look at the shape that they are in ..... OUTRAGEOUS!!! Did I mention that they already had my roughly 30,000 dollars? When my sister asked if we were going to discuss any other options Steve informed her that they don't have to offer any options, the point obviously being that they will sell cars no matter what. WOW!! So we never got to discuss that I would be happy to wait a few months for a new car or that I was willing to consider a nicer car for a higher price if we could meet in the middle, Steve had no intention EVER of making this work. When I asked for my money back, money which they have had for a week, and in the form of a cashiers check so it was like cash, I was informed they could not return my money until next week because the "check needs to clear" which is absolute crap. December 19 I see that Continental posted a complete lie in response to my comments. They did not even refer to me by my correct name! I never demanded a car of higher value. I know it is a marketing tool not to let consumers hear the truth about who they are about to do business with. I have previously purchased a 2014 Outback, 2014 Forester and a 2019 Forester Sport from your dealership. All my previous experiences have been pleasant until this one. Here is the issue 09 Jan 2024: I went onto the website because I am interested in updating my vehicle with options that were not available in 2019 prior to COVID. 10 Jan 2024 0855 AM: I received an e-mail from a Subaru associate (Nick) who noticed me scrolling the website. 10 Jan 2024 1000 AM: I replied with my interest about purchasing a new vehicle. 11 Jan 2024: After 24 hours of no reply I called the dealership. No sales associate was available so the operator hooked me up with a sales manager (can't remember his name). Manager went on the computer and stated there were 4 Forester Touring models (Autumn Green color) on the lot with the options I wanted. I Received a call from a guy named Nick (unsure if the same person from Internet sales who e-mailed me originally) stating the keys are with the salesperson on the floor and they would be ready when I came in around 3 PM. So I drove in from Eagle River to check them out. After 45 minutes at the dealership working with a sales associate on the floor (Kevin or Kenny) and he could not locate the keys or even the cars the sales manager spoke of. Continental put on my winter tires and took off my summer tires. When it was time to put my summer tires back on I went to a different mechanic shop. That mechanic shop informed me I had a screw in my tires side wall and it wasn't repaired and continental failed to properly inspect my tires. I'm posting this on yelp The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership, not only did they refuse to acknowledge an active engine misfire for months, but when I finally got the engine code for a misfire, they acted like it wasn't real because the dashboard light had turned off. They then tried to tell me there was no misfire even when it was actively misfiring pulling into their service bay, they then only agreed to look into it when I made them read the code and had to practically force them to take it. Then they acknowledged that my spark plugs "might be bad" and told me not only was it over $700 to replace my spark plugs but now I had a severe oil leak that they couldn't identify and I was losing a lot of oil (which makes no sense because I checked the oil the morning before I dropped it off) and that it'd take 25hr of labor and actively removing the engine from my vehicle just to SEE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE with more charges for repair, they then held my car for over a week while they argued with my warranty company (who was using the exact same labor fee calculator and only coming up with 9hrs of work), and when I finally told them to just change my spark plugs and give me my car back, they gave me attitude about having to call my warranty company again regarding the spark plugs, telling me "I'm going on lunch" and then got upset when I reminded them that the warranty company closes soon and I needed my car before the weekend when they'd hold it hostage again. They then completely proved a lack of communication and organization when my wife picked up the vehicle and they had no idea the vehicle was gone. When I finally got the car back, there was oil all over the interior, no oil and barely any coolant in my vehicle, it was obvious they'd drained it but couldn't bother to fix what they'd done. And to top if all off, the car started misfiring again, less than 4 days after getting it back. If you want a place that questions all your automotive problems and refuses to work on them and then tries to over exaggerate everything so that their mechanics can just rip you off for money while they leave your car in worse shape than before, then you found the place. read more

I asked if it was still available because I see a lot of ads for cars that are actually already sold. Montique assured me that it was still available. I agreed to come down - and took a Lyft because I don't have a car at the moment. I get there and find out it was sold. But it wasn't sold today - it was actually sold DAYS ago. And then on top of that, they didn't even have anything in that price range. Their under $25k inventory is only still up on the site to keep luring people in. And they didn't really care to sell me anything else. They seemed totally content with wasting my time and money. So I didn't buy from them. I got another Lyft and left. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've never had such a bad experience with any other dealership in my life. If you can avoid them, please do at all costs. On February 4th, I changed out my battery at Autozone because it had been consistently dying on me. They gave me a brand new battery & the guys at Autozone let me know that I should go to my dealer and have them run tests for a parasitic draw because my alternator/battery were running just fine. Now, I ran out of warranty but this has been a such an annoying issue that I decided I might as well go deal with it sooner than later. On February 5th, I took my car in for an oil change alongside asking them to run some tests to pinpoint the parasitic draw because I've needed to replace my battery 3-4 times in the last 5 years. Mind you, my car is a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek that I bought BRAND NEW at Continental. After I got a call back to pick up my car, the service advisor lets me know that not only is my car working just fine with no alternator issues, but that the parasitic draw is "only 19-20 amps" and that "it's really low compared to most I've seen." On top of that, they said the battery (WHICH I HAD REPLACED THE DAY BEFORE) was the issue. By this point, I was confused. Why are they telling me that my battery, which is brand new, is practically DEAD and that there's nothing wrong with my car? I go back to the guys at Autozone and they run the same battery/alternator test and tell me that Continental is wrong and it's a brand new battery. At this point, they give me advice on who I should go to instead but I'm confused on whose telling the truth. Therefore, I ask some mechanic friends of mine who run tests for me & low and behold, the battery is just fine. Also, they mention that the amps being 19-20 is a RIDICULOUSLY high number that doesn't make any sense. Of course, I call Subaru back and ask them to keep my car for a week because I KNOW my car dies after about a week and a half. They accept and tell me they will look into it. The day I go to drop off my car, I bring my previous diagnostic paperwork and show the guy checking in the issue. He immediately notes that the 19-20 amps must have been a mistake on their part and that he'll go ask his manager. The assistant manager comes to me and tells me that it's not a mistake and that its considered really low. ----- KEEP IN MIND: the guy before him literally told me it has to be a mistake. I mention this to the manager and he brushes it off and says "that guy doesn't know anything." I go on to tell him I've had multiple other people tell me that the parasitic draw is too high and he continues to tell me I'm wrong. I'm annoyed at this point but decide to leave my car there for a week. During the entire week, I get NO calls about the conditions of my car and they do no follow ups with me. I finally give them a call at the end of the week and just ask them if they found anything yet. Of course, they say no. At this point, I'm so frustrated that I ask to just pick my car back up. Once I go to pick up my car, they give me a diagnostic on the battery (which they say is working JUST FINE now ---- mind you its the SAME EXACT BATTERY) and how they ran a parasitic draw test every single day. No issues came up and I ask them what they did and all he tells me is they ran an hour test every day with my car. I don't know if it's the fact that maybe I'm a young woman with little to no experience with cars that is getting taken advantage of or if they're just completely lacking proper communication skills and not knowing what they're doing altogether. If they don't fix their communication issues alongside finding proper mechanics who can run proper tests, this place is not going to do well. The quality of work is not the same and I do NOT recommend going here. I wish I never bought my car from this location. read more

Absolutely disappointed. I've been to several Subaru dealerships and have been treated wonderfully each time. That's part of the reason why I went with a Subaru versus another car manufacturer. I recently moved up to JBER and this is the only dealership in the area. I stopped in to get my vehicle expressed checked during my lunch break (around 1pm). I was informed that the shuttle service ends at 4pm, and there were several cars ahead of me, which is completely fine. I went back to work, and waited for Continental to call me let me know my Subaru was done, or that they were checking it out now. Nothing. Finally five o'clock rolls around, I get off work, and call the dealership. Only to be informed that my crosstrek hasn't even been looked at. Now I'm mad. It's been there for a 4 hours and hasn't even been looked at. The girl on the phone said "let me check something," and then the line disconnected. She never called back. After figuring out a ride over, which was completely inconvenient. I arrive to find my vehicle sitting on the curbside. I walked in only to be greeted by a nice lady who had no clue why I was so mad. Turns out my vehicle was ready at 1:30pm. Nobody ever called to let me know. No one did a review or summary of the vehicle (which other Subaru dealerships typically do). The nice lady said she'd talk to Michelle and let her know, and that she was so sorry. Well it's been over a day since this has happened and this Michelle never called. I haven't even received my email asking to review/survey my experience at this Subaru dealership. I will definitely be filing a complaint with Subaru about this experience because this is not the culture of Subaru I bought into. I'm just sad that I'll have to spend my next few years going to this dealership, since it's the only one. Who knows, maybe I'll just drive to Canada for a check next time. read more

I participated in the Vintage Car program . I ended up paying twice the amount originally quoted to make a repair. Then, they wanted to charge my insurance for a nearly imperceptible depression on the fender of the loaner car that may very we'll have been there in the beginning. Until I pointed out similar dents my own car that they may have caused . At which they decided they would not charge my insurance for a new fender! Finally , after $3400 not only does the car still have the original problem , I had to ask them to wash it! They were not open to any reduction despite my disappointment in their service because, as the service rep explained, he makes money based on the amount taken in and already there has been a reduction because of the deal offered by the Vintage Plan. I wanted to buy a new Subaru. This dealer was incredibly rude and condescending. I got internet pricing (which was $2000 over the MSRP of the vehicle). When I called to talk to a sales rep he told me that since they are the only dealer in the anchorage area and there isn't competition they can charge what they want. I asked if they would price match any other dealers and was told no, and that they had people lined up to buy their cars, so if I had a better deal lined up I should take it. I ended up getting a great deal in Seattle, and it was STILL cheaper even after a $3300 barge to get it up here. Thanks for nothing Continental Subaru. read more

I scheduled factory recall service at this dealership. Upon my arrival to pickup my car following completion of the recall work, I was informed an oil change had also been performed on my car without my permission, and then I was asked to pay for the oil change. I refused because I had not requested this service. I had requested only the factory recall service, which had nothing to do with the engine. Ultimately, I was not charged for the oil change, but this was a completely avoidable uncomfortable situation. I did not appreciate it. I found it dishonest and will not recommend Continental Subaru to anyone. read more

I went out of town for a week and came back to a dead 16-month battery (Duracell, which is the Subaru dealership backed battery) in my car. I take my car in for regular service and it sits in a heated garage at home and a covered garage at work. It was so dead that even O'Reilly Auto Parts couldn't get a read on two different machines. The service portion of Subaru of course was closed so I was not able to bring my car in. I went out and bought a new, different battery (Ever Start Maxx) since I had already missed work and couldn't afford for that to happen again. When I called the Subaru dealership to see what they would be willing to do (I suggested to prorate the battery and put the funds into my account there for future service), they were unwilling to work with me in any capacity. I asked if they would cover the cost of running diagnostics on the car to ensure it was a bad battery and not the vehicle itself, as I read an article that 2015 and older Subaru's are known to have battery problems, and they would not cover that cost ($100). I clearly stated my frustration and lack of trust and little concern was noted. Instead, they continued to back the Duracell battery stating they would put in a new battery, but the warranty would be from the original purchase date and that it was my fault to have left my car sitting for a week. When I asked what the solution to that scenario was (since Alaskans frequently travel and leave for periods of time), the response was the disengage the battery from my vehicle so that it doesn't draw energy. After this response, I was pretty upset with care and started to look at other places to bring my vehicle for future service needs. A day later, I found out the reason for the poor service. Subaru has a class action lawsuit against them right now for this very issue. So I will be changing providers for my car and hopefully be compensated once the lawsuit settles. read more

I only recently purchased two Subaru's after years of owning other vehicles. From the purchase to the servicing I have never been so impressed. There are too many customer service exemplars time list. Everything from washing my car before returning it, to delivering me to work while my car is getting an option installed, to filling my fluid levels just because. I also use the Subaru app to schedule and reschedule appointments. The email confirmations are very helpful when I schedule far in advance. I even was able to call in a few times fir advice and they helped me over the phone. I was having some work done on my suspension and ask if they would check my battery. Assumed this would be something they did as a courtesy as it takes literally seconds to attach a tester to the battery terminals. The battery tested fine and did not need to be charged. Upon picking up the car found a $ 75 charge for the test which they refused to refund. I could have bought a new battery for less than $100. So short sighted and greedy to lose a customer for life over $75. read more

Your service department makes me question ever buying much less servicing another vehicle through Continental. My daughter was in your Subaru's service department {we are every 3000 miles or so} we had her oil changed and the service technicians found a leak on an axle boot. She made an appointment then and there to get it fixed. One week later upon picking the vehicle up I went to the restroom while my daughter was going to pay for and pick up the vehicle. Upon returning to the service department I heard a man speaking to my daughter in a very rude manner. He was the only representative other than one young lady, I waited a moment before saying anything because I did not want him to know that she and I were together, Ultimately to see how far this was going to go... I only waited a moment. I hear my daughter comment {all I did was ask a question} this rude man says {it's not my fault that you don't like the answer} The representative's face was red and I could tell he was agitated with her.. Finally I intervene and explain that I am her father.. he then begins to backpedal, Completely changes his attitude. I believe part of it is that I am a man and the other part was that I am retired military, this man then says my daughter {Who not only has her masters degree but teachers in our school district, she has a huge heart and is very understanding} has another issue with her vehicle. She only asked why it wasn't noticed when the other leak was found. This must have angered the representative. By the way, This would've been a good chance for him {your representative Brye Warner} to help explain it to her in detail and not be frustrated by the question. After backpedaling and apologizing multiple times I still did not and do not appreciate the way this man spoke to my daughter, I can't help but wonder if this is just how he treats women. I did get the other leaks fixed, though I did not do it at Continental. I have met Marten in the past and should have contacted him immediately. However I believe the public need to know about this experience so it is documented. I do intend on calling your Subaru offices to also explain the situation. This representative truly gives your entire organization a bad name. We are a Subaru family that lives in Anchorage. We may just give up on the brand after this experience. I brought my 2018 Premium Forester XT to Continental Subaru for the first time on July 22 2020 due to an issue with the engine overheating and air conditioning not working. The service writer I was working with, Corey, called me the next day to inform me that the car was fixed and ready to be picked up. I was told there was no freon in the air conditioning system so they re-charged it and that seemed to solve the problem. I was charged a total of $758.76. As I drove the car home it was immediately evident that the car was not fixed; it was having the exact same issues. I called Corey that afternoon and he asked me to bring it back in the next few days for further inspection. I returned on July 27 2020 and they took another shot at diagnosing the issue. Corey again called the next day and was pleased to inform me that they found the issue. Corey told me that the shop did not have a freon "sniffer" to check for leaks when it was first inspected, but they apparently borrowed one from another shop this time and found a leak at an A/C compressor O-ring. Upon further investigation, it was determined there was a service bulletin posted regarding a defective pump and a revised part was available to solve this known issue. Corey informed me that the part would be replaced for free and all work performed this time would be covered under warranty. I inquired whether the $758.76 charge would also be written off as it was part of the diagnosis process but Corey declined to help with this and indicated that it was already difficult to justify this work being written off. I decided not to dispute this at the time, but after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Corey and/or another manager I have been unable to discuss this issue directly with them. I am failing to see why all charges would not be written off as warranty work. I was charged for services that were incomplete due to the shop not having standard testing equipment, and the work did not improve the function of my car. Then I take it back for the same, unresolved problems and then they actually do fix it due to proper diagnosis with the correct tools and it's covered under warranty. How does that make any sense? read more

*****DONT TAKE THE FREE CAR WASHES*** This place has so much potential, the service reps are great, the technicians are the worst in the business. Just about every time I take my vehicle in for service they manage to mess things up. In example; took my vehicle in for a routine fluid check/GPS update, got the vehicle back with coolant finger print smudges all over the seat and dashboard. Manager apologized, and gave me a free interior cleaning. Interior cleaning resulted with polishing substance inside the door speaker holes, along with the interior of the door that closes in. Just took the vehicle in for a defective part covered by the vehicle warranty, service rep offered free car wash. I said yup, why not. The wash was half assed leaving scratches on the vehicle. The extremely obvious scratches were justified because of old scratches in similar area circled in a general area on a piece of paper. To quote the manager "unfortunately it was a bad wash, but the only reason those scratches show is because of the color of your car." And wished me luck. Only reason I go here is because I prepaid for 3 years for all services. Luckily only 2 years to go. It would almost be worth it to drive to Washington for service with the way they do business here. read more

Changed oils there twice, two bad experiences. The first time, the front desk was all smiling, saying everything was fine after oil change and inspection. The next day, I found severe oil leak underneath my car. I took it back, they said they did not tighten something right. So they fixed it and gave me another report listing a lot of problems my car has. It was like I tortured my car within one day. The second time, I sent in the car with no lights on. When I got it, the tire pressure light was on. I was told the light would go away after driving a little. After two days, it did not. I went back and the front desk was all smiling again and wanted to charge me money for checking the tires. I denied and ran to gas station for free air. The lights went away. I am not going back. read more

I bought my new Outback here, and believe me, I want to love this place. Every interaction I've had with them was GOOD, except when I had my 30,000 mile service appointment. It was all fine, but I felt that the invoice/check-out/paying process was really unclear. The language on the invoice wasn't in layman's terms-- and when I asked what some of the charges were for, the guy at the desk couldn't really tell me. In the current age of consumerism, transparency is everything! I think there should be some improvement in this area. Otherwise, good stuff. read more

Best car purchase experience of my life. I started looking in January and told Nick McMillan I wasn't in a hurry to purchase. He gave me a card & said just contact him when I was ready. Test drove once in March, again no pressure. Test drove & purchased in June. Nick was knowledgable, helpful, and just wonderful to work with each time. He responded to my texts and emails both quickly and did not chase me for a decision. If you are looking for a low pressure, easy to find a good price quickly experience, call Nick 907-563-cars. Also had a great experience with Alex Nauman, the delivery specialist manager, who answered all the little questions I had when I went back after driving my car around for a week or so. Poor service. Do not recommend. They had my car for a week and a half for service and only completed half of the repairs they were supposed to. Asked me to come back in for a half a day to fix what they didn't get done. Are you kidding me! Didn't even wash my car although they had it in lot for 1.5 weeks until my mom said her Subaru in Seattle always washes. Then they did half ass wash. This place obviously has terrible management oversight. Nice dealers but your service sucks. read more
