A winter wonderland dream come true! Dog-sledding with veteran musher Mike King through the boreal forest in Salcha, Alaska, was nothing short of enchanting--an unforgettable core memory for my husband and me! Mike is the real deal--genuine, welcoming, and deeply passionate about his dogs and the sport. His heartfelt stories about the countless dogs he's raised had us laughing, while his awe-inspiring tales of competing four times on the grueling 1,000-mile Yukon Quest trail amazed us. When I return to Alaska, I'm getting off the plane and going straight to Mike and his dogs for another adventure. Truly special. Everyone who books with Mike King's Alaska Trail King Adventures is in for the best kennel experience and the most STUNNING trail ride. (You'll likely get to drive, too!) I promise this will be the highlight of your Alaskan experiences. Thank you, Mike, for sharing your passion with us.

Got to hold baby puppies.

Don't even know where to start. We had an appt for dog sledding with another company and they postponed our ride and then the morning of our ride they completely cancelled. Since we were leaving the next day we were very disappointed. Came across Alaskas Trail King Adventure/Mike and made a call. Have to say that as the best call ever. He was able to accommodate us and squeeze us in so as to experience the dog sledding before our return trip home. We showed up at his facility and were created with open paws. The dogs were ready to go and pretty excited. Mike was waiting as well. We started our trail ride and he gave us the history of his journey. He is so loyal to his customers and more so to his dog family. His love for his best friends is so apparent. He takes pride in his work. He had a story for every dog which we were so impressed with. His trail was by far one of the best. Very scenic with trees and open area and the best part was you were able to see the mountains during some of the ride. He took the time to stop and take pictures of us and the dogs and also to let them rest and play in the snow. I truly believe that things happen for a reason and could not be happier that we ended up experiencing the dog sled ride with Mike as he made us feel Like we were his most important group as I'm sure he does with every group. Mike even took some time to let us hold the baby puppies. I would recommend Mike 100 times over, and would give him 20 . Minyou're the best

Mike and Kevin were exactly the dog sled guys we hoped we would find. Not a big commercialized company with tons of guides, just the real deal. It was my husband, my 3 boys 8, 10, and 12, and myself and they made sure everyone had fun. They were both very knowledgeable about Alaska, the dogs, history of dog sledding and you could feel their genuine love for the sport and the dogs. It was a very affordable tour for the whole family and they don't rush you out afterwards. They provide hot cocoa and hang out with you while you warm up. My kids played with the dogs until it was time to leave and enjoyed their time so much they are asking if we can go back to say goodbye before we leave Alaska. Definitely a tour you want to take while in Fairbanks.

Words can't do my experience justice, but I'll try! Mike is extremely professional and the epitome of Alaskan charm. He knows each of his dogs by name and his love for them is genuine and touching. He showed me how to hook up his dogs to their harness and sled, and then gave me an in depth introduction to steering and avoiding falling off. The ride was beautiful. My face hurt from nonstop smiling, and I 100% recommend this to everyone in Alaska for a visit or even just a new and novel adventure. Hands down, one of the best experiences of my life. Thanks, Mike!
