They were amazing in Scotland and Ireland but this place definitely compares, best batter I've ever had. Off the beaten path just a little bit from downtown Gloucester but well worth it. It wasn't too crowded. We did not order any special cocktails. They didn't have a huge list to begin with. Only a few beers on draft. The have the 2nd level ropes off ( where the ghost was seen) we saw no one going up there. ( not even staff). We sat at a booth high top style table. It was cool how they had seating at the bar and it's right by the kitchen. Our service was good. Very prompt and polite. Our friends ordered the calamari app and bread. Which the bread does run $4 but so worth it! So fluffy and freshly made. We all ate something seafood related. I definitely thought bigger than my belly. I had the fried fish sandwich with cheddar cheese on brioche bread. Comes with 2 sides: picked the garlic & buttered spinach and a baked potato. The sandwich did have a side of what tasted like their own house made tartar sauce. One of our guests split a cobb salad and another one ordered fish n chips that they all enjoyed.
