I spoke to someone 3xs before coming in due to paying out of pocket. The issue I had with this is she gave me 3 different prices. EVERY time she told me the CT was included with the price for a root canal. I have it written down 3xs. All three times there was a different price listed on the exception of the CT scan. The CT scan and consulation would be a different price if he didn't do the root canal which was fine and it made sense. When I got there she told me the CT scan was an addtional 250 and then some other fee so in short it was going to be 1400. Again another price change. So when I said something she started arguing with me and getting louder. I wasn't trying to argue. I stated the fact that she told me something else previously and then I tried to clarify by repeating what she said. She was very frustrating and even motioned to someone else and when I said "I don't need another person involved I was just clarifying because you gave me three different prices before." She acted like I did something wrong and started talking slower to me as if I'm an idiot. I was just repeating what she said for clarification since I had 3 other prices at home. IN NO WAY did she need to raise her voice or go to stand. In no way or shape or form am I tolerate to these types of behaviors anymore. I use to be and I use to just stand there and take it but the older I get the more it makes me want to punch them in the nose. I won't and wouldn't but I seriously miss the days that if someone behaved poorly you could. When I was taken to the back not only was my aniexty high but I was nervouse, so I chatter. The girl that took me back apologized and was completely unbothered by me. She was super sweet. She showed me the cost but again I think it was more like here let me explain it to you dumbass. Very annoyed at this point and I couldn't wait to leave. I was fine about paying it either way. I just wanted my tooth fixed. Money is always a concern but I have the money. I could have pulled the entire amount out of my savings but with the present virus and all I'm trying to be a bit more mindful since I haven't worked in 3 months now due to it. The dentist was very pleasant. Very professional and had great bed side manner. He explained my crown to me telling me there wasn't anything he can do but seriously I'm not sure why the infection can't be taken care of without pulling my tooth. The only real tooth I've ever had any issues with in 28 years. Its in the back but I'm still rather freaked out on why it can't be fixed and the fact it will have to be pulled. I view losing teeth as a lack of self care and dirty which I take care of myself and my teeth. So I'm really not happy about it but what am I to do? I do realize that is not truly the only case and reason people lose their teeth but never the less. I'll be going back to my dentist in a few weeks. Thankfully I have zero pain.

We showed up and my wife checked in and then told me that there was a co pay. I asked them and they said for a consult, they toldme the day before it was covered. Please be honest, before we get to an appointment. If it's covered by insurance, don't do the old bait and switch.

I am not on a fixed income but when you're bill in the thousands doubles without notice that is completely unacceptable. Additionally I have always used the recommended insurance from the Dentist. This time was no different, a few weeks later I find out two local dentists who have been practicing for much longer than Dr Gutierrez charge $400 less for each crown. But wait there is more...My wife called to question the teeth cleaning bill prior to the crown replacement since we weren't given an itemized receipt for both our cleanings. Of course they have never given us an itemized receipt for anything, let alone a cleaning, but the bill was $400 instead of the dental plan plus the free cleanings that are usually around $100ish for the two of us. My wife and I are very clear telling our dental techs "we don't want anything extra that isn't covered by the plan they sold us." TO their credit they had us sign a sheet acknowledging this, but magically they lost both our sheets when we asked to see where we signed to authorize an extra $300 in cleaning up charges. Our cleaning should have been the dental plan fee for one year for about $100 and maybe a few dollars more... After my wife brought this to the office manager's attention she was very clear, we paid, it's our fault and should've disputed it then. To this date they have still not found our authorization letters. I can again attest I will never give this practice money. They have zero concern for customer satisfaction when it comes to them getting their up charges.

The rooms are all open and small so blasting loud music is their solution to having rooms too close and having them all full at the same time for one doctor. The loud music only increased my anxiety and I felt like I had to yell to be heard. The assistant was snippy and insisted the music wasn't too loud for her instead of reassuring me that maybe the service would make up for it. Unfortunately, it did not. She rallied the other assistants who came to get a peek at the old lady who complained about the music being too loud. When the doctor came in he had an attitude as well and it was clear he was defensive about his loud music. Whatever. I felt like I was in a day care with young, immature employees. Was so happy to leave.

One-Star Review for Endodontic Specialists, P.A. (Brandon, FL)…read more My wife, Lu, had a root canal here on September 13, 2024. Since her insurance had no funds left, we paid $1,017.10 in full upfront. The procedure was fine, but his billing department is a nightmare. This situation is complicated, so let me explain the timeline. Lu first had crown work done at SmileWrite Dentistry, our longtime dentist, which maxed out her insurance benefits. When she later needed a root canal, SmileWrite referred us to Dr. Soliman. Before scheduling, we informed his office that insurance was fully used and negotiated a cash price of $1,017.10, which we paid in full. Despite this, his office double billed us--charging insurance $836 for the same procedure we already paid for. That money should have gone to SmileWrite for their legitimate claim, but instead, his office took it without our knowledge. When we caught the error, they refused to void the claim and instead offered a refund--but for $80 less than what they took. Sure, $80 isn't a huge amount, but it's the principle--they knowingly took money that wasn't theirs and won't fully correct it. It's been four months, and even after agreeing on a call with my provider and insurance rep to return the full amount, they still haven't. This isn't a simple mistake--it's shady billing. Dr. Soliman, do you know your billing team is damaging your reputation and referral relationships? SmileWrite has sent you many patients, yet your billing department's refusal to fix this has also prevented them from getting paid for legitimate work. That's no way to treat the people sending you business. After four months of trying to resolve this, I had no choice but to write this review. We've also filed a BBB complaint and are waiting for a response. Dr. Soliman's office, do the right thing--refund the full $836 so SmileWrite can be made whole.

I searched through reviews to find a dentist who could make the experience as stress-free as possible, and the reviews about Dr. Tsatalis at the Riverview office were absolutely right--she is fantastic! This was, hands down, the best dental experience I have ever had. Even before meeting Dr. Tsatalis, her assistant Sonia took the time to calm my nerves and make me feel more at ease. They are a terrific team! If you need endodontic care, this is the place to go. I never imagined I would be writing a positive review about a dental visit, but they are that good!
