The ambiance/decor of the place is simple. It has a basic black and gray theme throughout the whole place. Black sinks set into gray counter tops and black barber chairs sitting on gray carpet. When you enter and look left, there is a small walled of section which has a small window through which you can see people getting their nails done. Across from that is another walled off section which I believe is where they offer waxing or a massage. One thing that I have never seen in a hair salon are toys and this place has two OVER SIZED stuffed monkeys. I thought it was a nice change of scenery and would definitely help ease the tension of a child (or adult, I don't judge) coming to get their cut at this place. Service is really super. I think the owner is tall gentleman with glasses and he greats you upon entering in a very inviting manner. I may sound dramatic, and I'm sure there are many out there that feel the same way I do when it comes to your hair. Don't give me that BS stuff about, "it's just hair" and "it'll grow back" because it's not even about that. So, for the past 15+ years I've been cutting and dying my own hair black blue. I was cornered to a point where I could not strip the blue black from my hair [without bleaching] and failed the attempt to dye it Burgundy. very upsetting after spending $$. And then I met Mayra. She was well recommended with hair colors. I showed her what I wanted and we compromised that if she got close to burgundy as possible I would be happy with any results. I was mainly worried about bleaching and how much it would damage my hair. Honestly, it did not damage at all. My hair still feels healthy. I was however lucky, it lifted in one time try. I have really long hair, down past my waits, so, the process took almost five hours. In conclusion, the results were beyond amazing! I could not believe she pulled off the look I had envisioned and more. When looking in the mirror, I honestly did not care about wanting burgundy color. I automatically fell in love with the shades of red. With that being said, Mayra is now my one and only hairstylists i can trust.
