Frank was very skilled! Very happy with my cut and color. I was in desperate need of a cut and color for an upcoming event. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Was able to get a same day appointment which is very nice. The salon is pretty simple, tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. Frank greeted me warmly and after shampoo, went to work to give me layers and volume. The cut was cute and pretty. We then discussed about the coloring options. Instead of going with all over color, he recommended lowlights to cover up some of the grays I started to get. I've never had lowlights before but he convinced me so we went with that. After about an hour of coloring, setting and rinse, my hair come out very nice and pretty, the grays are all gone and everything blended very well and natural. Definitely recommend. read more

Mia gives incredible haircuts at very reasonable prices. I've been to other salons that charge up to 4 to 5 times more and have been disappointed with the results. I walk into the salon with straggly hair and leave with a light, bouncy, professional cut. My husband also gets his haircut by Mia and looks so sharp and handsome when he leaves. read more

I've been coming here for years, never needed an appointment. It's a walk-in welcome place. I walked in with nobody waiting and was asked if i had an appointment. Then told there were no appointments for the rest of the day. It was noon and nobody was in there but a lady in a chair getting her hair done. I wasn't even asked if I wanted to come back or anything. Rude services and unwilling to schedule an appointment. Not sure what that was about but felt discriminated and unwelcome. read more

This is the worst place for a hair cut. First, it was super dirty.. made me wear covers with other people's hair still on it.. second, horrible horrible hair cut.. Had to go to different place to fix my hair after they butchered it. it was size 2 on the side and size 4 or 5 in the back... LOL... Im shocked how this place is in business. Edi is the fantastic stylist working at this place and this review is basically for her work only since she's my go-to homegirl at this shop. My hair sucks something major until she gets her skilled little hands in there and works the magic. In its natural state, I have long, thick, curly hair and she makes it silky and manageable and her blowdrying skills are superb. I've also had some of my models go through her to get their hair done for our shoots and I'm gonna post more of those pictures here in a bit. As far as the salon itself--I wish this place would clean up a little and show a bit of a classy touch because as it is, it seems bizarre that they have stylists of this caliber and they're not playing to their strengths. They need better marketing and better management to make the ladies of Diamond Bar and Phillips Ranch drop their dollars here every week. Come on, Haircutters, you can do it! read more

Finally just interrupted her to ask my question..Which by no suprise she was unable to provide an answer. She shouted across store to other employee's for answer regarding my daughters extremely curly hair and once again not to my surpise they were unable to answer. My daughter has very course curly hair but she is only FOUR YEARS OLD and all the stylists said they did not know how to do hair like hers. I was a bit hesitant to come here because it didnt look too fancy or reputable but it was a Sunday and hardly anyone was open and the ones that were weren't taking walk ins and I desperately needed to satiate my impulsive desire to get an A-line bob. I have not had my hair shorter than my mid back since middle school so I was pretty nervous but I needed it done for the sake of change. So the place isn't fancy at all. It's very generic. But since I was only going in for a cut I didn't mind. Anyways, I got Mercedes and she did amazing with my a line! It's exactly how i pictured it and I am so grateful to know that I can pull it off thanks to her skills! If you want a great cut definitely come here. The reason to go here is Pam. Location: There is nothing particularly great about the location. Your basic strip mall on a fairly busy street. The biggest problem is the parking lot can get very full at times. You may end up having to walk a bit further than expected. The area itself is pretty good though Decor: I had to take away a point here. The decor is non-existent. It is a largely undecorated and even outdated salon. There is no style to the place. I could see how someone would be turned away by the interior. Business: At any given time there are between 2-4 stylists on hand. They take appointments but most of the business is walk-ins. Prices: Prices are slightly more than Supercuts but so is the quality of the service. Reason to Go Here: The main reason to go to this otherwise plain and boring salon is Pam. She is a diamond in the rough. Few people, regardless of price, have ever given me a better haircut. She takes her time, is gentle, and seems to take pride in getting everything just right. She could charge triple what she does if she went to a more boutique salon. There is a slight language barrier though which I think may cause issues for some customers and I'n not sure Pam even knows how good she really is. Recommendation: If you want a great haircut, ask for Pam. read more

I wanted to get my hair curled for graduation at a salon close by. Figured I would try this place out. My hair never stays curled when I do it, so I decided to pay to have someone do it for me. The girl was nice...didn't say much...but it was ok because I was just relaxing. I knew she was having trouble curling my hair because she kept putting more and more hairspray. My hair didn't look anything fancy in the end but it flowed pretty. When I got back to my house, my boyfriend told me to look in the mirror. My hair was completely white! The more I touched it, the more white spread. There was so much hairspray!! By the time I got to my party venue, my curls were out. I would highly recommend Mia but would pass on having Amanda cut my hair again. As a woman with long hair who does not chemically treat it, I am always looking for a hair dreser that will not push me on services I do not want. Back in March I had a great experience with Mia. I booked the day of and requested Mia, at the suggestion of the yelpers. As soon as I sat in her chair she started working her magic. I have been having some issues with the top front of my hair getting greasy and having build up. She immediately recognized the issue, working on to figure out the cause in a very professional manner. She cut and layered my hair to my specifications. At the end in a very polite manner, she recommended some products, that were even on sale! The haircut with student discount is $18 (Yelp has a $11 weekday special for new clients). With the shampoo and tip I think I paid about $28-30. This past Monday I had Amanda cut my hair, at the recommendation of some Yelpers and was displeased. When I made my appointment I requested Mia or Amanda. When I arrived, Mia was busy with another client so Amanda took care of me. She did an average job. I was a little unsure about my cut and she did not do much to inquire about my discontentment. When I was getting ready to check out I mentioned really enjoying the shampoo Mia had recommended. I was interested in buying Shampoo and Conditioner. Amanda seemed very unsure as to which products to recommend and asked me about what I purchased back in March. I thought it was Paul Mitchell. She said they were out, although there was a bottle on the shelf. When she finally made a suggestion, she seemed very unsure of herself. It is such a shame because I was looking forward to buying something. Overall, great place and decently priced. NOTE: They do not blow dry your hair after they wash it so you will probably need to wash/dry or even change your shirt afterward because they tend to get hair everywhere. I would return and highly recommend Mia for a great hair cut. read more
