Interesting enough, my review about Alberto's goes far beyond describing the tailoring done at the shop. I've gotten suits altered there and the work is superb. However, the treatment that the manager Sandra gives to a blind friend of mine named Floyd is the reason why I am posting this positive review on Yelp. Floyd and I are both Jehovah's Witnesses. I can say that outside of other Witnesses, I have never seen anyone treat Floyd with so much kindness, care and compassion as Sandra does. Sandra deserves a gold star. She definitely goes above and beyond where my friend Floyd is concerned. I definitely will bring more of my business her way and hope others will do the same. In this cold, cruel world, we need more empathetic people like Sandra. read more

I went here to have a bridesmaids dress altered. First time here, the ladies working were very nice, professional, and personable. Alterations were great and the turn around was about 3 weeks. I just needed my dressed hemmed to a shorter length and one seam restitched. Nothing major. I liked that they knew what the were talking about & made some good suggestions such as adding a bustle to the dress for the train which would make it easier to dance, etc. Something I would know nothing about. I would recommend and will be using this location for further alterations that I need done. read more

This place has obviously been here a long time and the service was just fine for me! Everyone was polite and communicated well. I took a pair of pants that were too long and got them back 5 days later just right. They even save your measurements so you can just drop off new stuff you buy without having to get repeatedly measured. They also have a huge collection of men's hats, I could spend hours looking at. It's faster and more convenient than local dry cleaner tailor services which have tighter hours and longer return tones. read more

I was immediately greeted, assisted, and happy to be taken care of in under 10 minutes. The ladies that assisted me found a font similar to the one I use for embroidering shirts for my new business. I first stopped at Park Cleaners to see about having a dress taken in. The man barely looked at it and said he couldn't work with it because of the pockets. Having had most every pair of pants and nice garments Ive ever owned taken in I decided to head on down the road and try somewhere else. I had never been in to Alberto's but decided to give it a shot. The woman working the cash register greeted me sincerely and was very engaging while I waited on Sandra the tailor to finish up with some customers in front of me. Sandra was awesome! Fast and professional! She said I would lose the pockets but as long as I was okay with that she could make it work no problem. In addition I needed a quick turn around. This was Saturday and I needed the dress by Wednesday for a job interview. Sandra had the dress ready Tuesday. She did a beautiful job and it fit like a glove. I felt great wearing it and was offered the job but did not accept because of the hours. At any rate I have found my go to tailor in Evergreen Park. Thank you Sandra and Alberto's. read more

Sandy ( the owner) is very rude to her customers. She talks to them like they are stupid. Be prepared next time you bring your stuff in here. She is good at returning things on time and gets what you want done, but her people skills are not very welcoming. read more

I had a jacket zipper replaced. Horrible workmanship!! The seam along the zipper wasn't straight! The seam became a double seam in some spots. They left the zipper totally exposed. Not hidden behind the flap. Really!!! Do not bring any article of clothing of value here. Ruined my jacket!! read more
