Hired Albert to do a whole yard clean up and removal of 6+ small trees in my front yard and backyard so I could eventually lay turf down for my son. His team was great and hard working. He has the equipment to stump grind with small entry into the backyard, not all landscapers have this, and that sealed it for me. The day of a was generally good experience. After Albert and his team left, I noticed 3-4 small surface roots were not ground or removed. I contacted him shortly after and I tried to remove them myself but did not have the tools to do so. Initially, Albert said it was not a problem and that he would return to finish the job. I tried to contact him via text and calls from September 11, 2023 to March 22, 2024. Sometimes we would speak on the phone and other times he would tell or text me that he would come "tomorrow". That day never came, Albert ghosted me, and it worked - I gave up after about 7 months of trying to communicate with him. I am disappointed since Albert is a nice guy and I enjoyed working with him initially. He provided a great service, just don't expect followup or follow through. I am a VERY satisfied customer. Albert and his crew came out this morning and trimmed down my neighbors oak tree that was overgrowing on my side of my property. I can't tell you how satisfied and relieved that the tree doesn't look like an eye sore anymore. They were punctual, fair in pricing and have all the necessary equipment to pull off large and small jobs. It took a couple of hours to trim the oak tree. I recently bought my home in Fullerton. Albert, his Dad and Co. were WONDERFUL. When buying your home, you don't realize the amount of foliage until you move in..but within days the foliage/trees/cactus was overwhelming and obsessive. I couldn't even let my dog roam around due to the shrubs and cactus engulfing half the backyard. I HAD to get it rid of completely. Got a few quotes and Albert offered to do more work for the most affordable price. You know you got a great deal and made the right decision when you're spending $$$ for something you didn't plan on spending, but walked away feeling like it was worth it and that you couldn't do better. My yard looks soooo much better. Albert was knowledgeable and even suggested cutting a tree he knew would cause problems. I passed trying to save that extra dollar, just to find out the next day my sewer line was completely clogged due to that one tree I left behind. In order to get my plumber fixing in ASAP, Albert's company made their way the same day, IN THE RAIN, to make it happen...they were working on a project hours away as well. I didn't give Alberts Tree Service any stars. My neighbor had a tree cut down and the stump was grind down. The guys were not careful at all. Some branches brought down my TV and Phone lines. They didn't clean up there mess on my side. I called Albert numerous times and he never called me back. Albert was contacted by the person that hired him. Tip for other Yelpers - Observe the work area before paying I hired Albert and his team to cut down two trees and grind down the stumps. Overall the crew did a fair job cutting down the trees however they were not careful with their work and did significant damage to my sprinkler system. 2 of my sprinkler heads were busted and they grinded down one of the pipes in the middle of my lawn and now I have no water pressure. I have contacted Albert numerous times and he said he would come take a look but he was a no show...TWICE. Now I'm stuck to foot the bill to hire a professional to fix my sprinklers. This is an update on my review from March of 2018. Albert and his crew were working a week ago at my home.. We needed Albert to come and take out 4 trees and grind the stomps. Clear out all the plants in my garden area. Trim the Maple tree and the Carrot Wood tree in the front yard. His crew did a great job as always. The 3 stars is for busting 1 of my sprinkler pipes. His crew left a couple of their soda cans in my yard and promising to email my husband a receipt for the cash paid. I sent him a text the next day and he never got back to me or my husband. So now my husband had to fix the pipe on his own. One reviewer said you should always check the work before you pay. Please check your sprinklers before you pay. read more

Was going back and forth on if I wanted to take down a 65 foot maple tree in our backyard and finally decided we had to since there were fears some branches could fall on our roof in the coming months/years. We loved this tree but was becoming a hazard, even after pruning. I got a lot of quotes, a couple from some other very good tree service crews but Albert and Albert Jr had the best price considering all of the work they were going to do. Tree take down and root removal and there were a lot of roots. You could tell in talking to Albert, he knew a lot about his craft and that gave us confidence to move forward with them. It ended being a two day process and man, look at the pictures. It looks like no tree was even there when you look at the finished product. Showed up on time each day and did a phenomenal job! This is a follow-up to my review in 2019 again a five star review! Albert, the owner of Alberts Tree Service shows up with his team and they do exactly what you want done. Not only are they extremely experienced, but they clean up after themselves! Albert takes the time to answer any questions you have and educate you on what's important. There is nothing that he doesn't know the answer to. Here's the most important part... You can't hire just any Tree Service. We had a couple of Tree Services come out when we first bought our house and they hacked our tree. You might not know that your tree was hacked especially if you're not knowledgeable in the tree department. What happens is your tree does not grow back properly or it doesn't grow back at all. It's imperative that you use someone that knows what they're doing, knows the type of trees you have and trim/cuts it the right way. This is why we only use Albert, the owner of Albert's tree service. He's trying to undo what another Tree Services did wrong to our trees. He has commercial accounts all over LA and Orange County but he manages to take excellent care of his residential customers. We would never use anyone else! I didn't grow up here. I rely on Yelp for everything. This time it paid off again. Some "shady tree" guy we had left this stump. Alberts bailed me out. Since they were here I had them clean this messy dead tropical root plant that was a huge huge mess that "I was trying to get to". A little money went a long way! They had to come back the next day (even in the rain) to finish getting the rest of the limbs from my front lawn. I called for a visit/quote on Tuesday... I needed two huge palm trees removed from the front yard because they destroyed my brickwork and two trees removed from the backyard. I called Albert on a Thursday. He was able to give me an excellent quote on the same day and was at my house trimming my tree the next day. I also had a second problematic tree in a bad spot that needed to be removed which they took care of. Due to the location of the tree, Albert and his guys needed to remove it by hand, a difficult task. Albert and his guys were super polite and fast. Well, I'm happy to say they did an even better job! I needed a couple of trees removed from the pool area and they did an awesome job keeping things out of the pool as best as they could. Also, Albert let me know about a tall Italian cypress that was causing cracks in one of the walls. He gave me a good price and removed that as well. We were extremely happy with Alberts Tree Service. They were obviously experienced professionals with the right tools and equipment. They were super organized and efficient. We called Alberts to removed a large tree from our backyard and they were able to start that same afternoon. Used Albert and his crew to take out 2 gigantic palm trees in the front yard that's pushing and damaging the exterior retaining wall of a house on a slope. Here's what I love about them: 1. Works super efficiently. Called/messaged him during lunch time, got a quote and actual inspection in less than 2 hours. Quoted on Tue afternoon, and have everything taken care of by Thur early afternoon. 2. Great price! I contacted at least 6 different companies, no one beats Albert's price! 3. Offer honest suggestion: one of the palm tree is smaller but Albert suggested to take it out to avoid future problems with trimming and pushing against retaining wall after inspection. 4. After several prior estimates Albert came over to view the 7 Queen Palms that needed the husks removed and seed pods trimmed off. He was the highest of the 3 estimates that I had but felt comfortable hiring his guys because with most things, you get what you pay for. During the estimate, Albert went over not cutting into the trees (to get the husks off) because they could get sick and die (they will be pulled off by hand - as they should be) as well as assuring me that my gazebo top would be protected - I asked him if I should remove it but he said no, I'll protect it. There was some damage to the gazebo top (torn from the service) so I called Albert and left a message. Damage not rectified and no call backs. Trees look good but you will risk damage to your property with no support or acknowledgment to what was done - bad business practices! read more

I found Alberts Tree Service on Yelp as I was searching desperately for a good company to come out and remove a 30 foot Chinese Elm tree that was dropping sap on my car. I got the quote the same day I had called him, and he was ready to come and do the job just a few days later! A crew of 6 showed up to conduct the work. All 6 of them were very nice, professional, and helpful. They did accidentally pull a beam under the eave of my house while dropping a tree branch over a telephone line that went through the tree and connected to the beam.
