Sadly, the bark beetle got the best out of our tree and we had to cut it down. I reached out to the same guy I have been using to trim our trees for years and this time his prices did not jive. So I searched and had a list of 10 potential companies to reach out to. I called them one by one, made appointments to get estimates and after the fifth or sixth appointment I met with Don Ramon. He provided a very fair price and was ready to jump on it the same day. Could not say no and within a few hours the bulk of the work was done. We contacted Ramon to trim our lemon grapefruit tree. My husband made it very clear what he wanted him to do. He wanted it to be trimmed and rounded at the top, and to be pruned inside to promote a healthy growth. As you can see from the picture, we wound up with a butchered tree. His guys cut major branches as well as causing damage to the remaining branches with their chainsaw. We have very little branches left. After speaking to another qualified tree trimmer, we were told that this tree may never recover back to its original condition. It will take a minimum of 5 years for us to even get back the beginnings of the healthy fullness growth. Super disappointed. At this point there's nothing that can be done to fix this. We called and spoke to Ramon. He told us he was going to come back and take a look at it himself. It has been 8 hours and we have had no response from Ramon. read more

I live in Diamond Bar and "had" 6 European Cypress trees that were over due for attention. Not knowing where to start, I went to "yelp" to begin my search. Ramon's Tree Service showed that he was in Glendora, which is somewhat close to my area. Immediately, I noticed the 5 Stars on his business from previous reviews. I read numerous reviews and couldn't find anything negative on him. I gave him a call one late morning and he was at my house by 2pm ready to do the estimate. Because I didn't want to have to sell a kidney, I was afraid to hear the price that he was going to come back with. (Multiple European Cypress trees are a big job and they make a mess.) His estimate was spot on with what I had calculated. I agreed with the price and asked if he would take a personal check. He said yes and would start the job the next morning, about 9am. Thinking that just a couple of guys and one truck would show up, Ramon sent out his entire Calvary! They arrived much earlier than the promised time of 9am, which was fine with me. Like a finely tuned machine, his guys attacked the job in unison and were finished in 2 and 1/2 hours. I was extremely pleased with the end result. Ramon is a really nice, down to earth, kind of guy. I never felt pressured and I know that I didn't get gouged with his estimate. He came across with honesty and integrity through the entire experience. He knows what he is doing. Without thinking about it twice, I would use Ramon's Tree Service again. The bad thing is that those European Cypress trees grow so slow, I may not have to get them trimmed again in my lifetime. My gardener can handle all of my other trees. If you should find yourself in the same position that I was in, you will not regret using Ramon's Tree Service. I'm glad that I did. read more

I asked them to trim 4 trees. They quoted a reasonable price and got the job done quickly. The work however is poor. They topped all 4 trees, ruining them as far as Im concerned. They no longer look natural. No qualified arborist would top trees in this fashion. Do not recommend. read more

Ramon's guys did some tree trimming in our backyard. His men damaged all three of our patio posts and the wood siding on the side of the house where they removed and dragged the tree branches out to the front. The damage they did was on a 2 month old remodeled home. Ramon came out and looked at the damage. He told me to have it repaired & give him the bill to pay for it. It's been 2 months now and he still has not paid for the damage. I've called him 6 times, he never returns my calls. Not the same experience that others may have had with Ramon. Very disappointing. I will be filing a complaint with BBB. I've contacted the Contractor Business License, but his license number on his business card is not valid. read more
