I went on 7/19 around 7:00 pm to this store because I wanted to try a new grocery store. I noticed the "clip on" internet coupons and signed up for them on the site and started clipping them for check out. I went through my whole entire shopping list (about 40 mins of shopping with my 3 year old) and proceeded to check out. At the stand there was an older woman telling the cashier that she wanted to use the coupon for some steaks she had. The cashier immediately started being snarky with the woman. The cashier proceeded to roll her eyes at the woman as the woman tried to explain that she had signed up online before coming in. The cashier was being snippy and offering no solution as she tapped her fingernails on the register waiting for the woman to give up. I politely offered my phone/coupons to help the woman out and the cashier started giving me attitude. She looked obviously annoyed that I even offered and started to make up excuses for why I couldn't allow her to use mine. Once I convinced her to even try, I told her I had just signed up on my phone and she snapped at me saying I had to use the app, that it didn't work that way. I got a little irritated at this point and asked her why she couldn't just use the webpage and she took my phone and started scrolling through the webpage until she called over another woman to assist her. This woman proceeded to scroll through my phone for a moment before telling the woman she couldn't do anything about it unless she downloaded the app. She told the other customer "you can go home, download the app, clip the coupon, and come back tomorrow." I asked her if I needed to download the app in order to use the coupons and she began informing us that "this is how they want us to do it, they are really pushing the online coupons so there's nothing I could do even if I wanted to". I decided at this point I wasn't going to buy from Albertsons and I told the ladies to have a good day, leaving my whole order behind even though I had spent 40 mins grabbing my monthly list with my 3 year old toddler. I'll do my shopping at Staters from now on. Lesson learned. read more

I went to Albertson's this Saturday and with everything going on with the coronavirus, there was a customer walking around without a mask and none of the store associates or manager implemented that he should be wearing a mask. He was a customer like all of us and we all were wearing a mask and there was even a man out front selling masks too. He wasn't following the rules and made other customers and I feel uncomfortable. One of my biggest pet peeves in a grocery store is either when the cashier does not acknowledge you even after you say hello or they just ignore you after you've checked out. The pharmacy here rocks once you get in and become a customer they can be very nice and helpful. The staff of the store are great, they are always nice and courteous. However the prices suck. and yes, when it does get busy the wait in the lines gets way too much for such prices. I hate to put such a low review because I think the staff being fired or reprimanded isn't the fix for these problems, but they'll probably get the blame. read more

I really hate writing this review but it has to be done. First off, the other reviewers are right, the prices are high and a lot of times the food is close to expiration, of not already expired. I have tried to patronize them so many times but nothing ever changes. Oh and to add insult to injury, the cashiers are so rude and they don't like to bag your groceries! For starters Albertsons prices are fairly expensive, but to make matters worse the customer service can be poor. There has been nice workers in the apple valley location so I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about the ones who are rude over phone, and my experience last night with a cashier. As most of us know a lot of grocery stores don't take credit, I forgot my debit card at home and asked the cashier if they take credit, she replied "yeah we take credit, and it will tell me if the cards stolen or not". If you don't have time to wait, don't shop here during peak hours. Honestly, most people would rather have regular competitive pricing than their useless "game-piece promotions." Ever since the Ralph's across the street went out of business, Albertsons has increasingly become less shopper friendly. Advertising on their carts says: "Three's a Crowd!" But this store rarely opens another check-out just because of long lines. (Check the expiration date before you throw it in your cart, if it's on sale, it's probably about to expire.) read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Priscilla is completely unprofessional and treated me like I was a huge burden because I didn't give her my pharmacy card soon enough apparently. When I gave her the card she rolled her eyes and rudely replied, "ugh, you should have gave this to me at the beginning, now I have to start over!" There's something really fishy going on at this Albertsons. Last month I was there and got some Lean Cuisines that were marked at $1.99 each if you buy 5. Looked at my receipt in the car and they rung up full price. I was overcharged by a lot, but I didnt have time to go back in and had to take the loss. And then tonight I was there to get stuff for Christmas dinner and grabbed one can of cranberry sauce. The cashier rang it through,it was $2.99, and I noticed he did it twice and then asked me if I happened to look at the price. I said no, I just grabbed one. So he asked the bag boy to go do a price check. Meanwhile, I have no clue why this is happening, and I have not forgotten that he rang the one can twice. Finally the bag boy comes back and says "$2.49". The cashier says ok, and I figured he adjusted the price and took off that extra charge for a second can. I check my receipt and nope, 2 charges and he didnt even adjust the price from $2.99 to $2.49. What's the deal? That seems very odd to me. Anyway, I went back and got my money back for the second charge. He didn't even give me the whole $2.99 back. Shop here at your own risk. read more

On 1-8-2018 I was very up set with my local Albertsons store. I wrote a review, posted it on Yelp as well as sent to Albertsons web page. As you can read in my previous review many things went wrong with Ads and availability of product during the Holiday seasons. I now understand that there are reasons for product delivery out of the control of local stores. Came here a few times during my stay for various odd items, like liquor, Tofu dogs, and veggies. Albertson's delivers. Prices are so-so in my experience with this store but they usually have it. The staff seem very friendly and it's a clean good store. read more

BUYER BEWARE....they used to call it BAIT & switch. They advertise one price and then charge another when you get to the cash register. I posted the proof in the photos. Last time they charged me $89 and the manager had to give me back over $23 and I SWORE I would never go to Albertson's on Hwy 18 in Apple Valley EVER AGAIN. tonight my husband asked for some energy drinks & lean cuisines that were on sale so I took a chance. See the photo above $31 order and they had to refund me $9 that they overcharged me AGAIN!!!!!! They do it to everyone and hope that they will NEVER LOOK AT THE RECEIPTS!!!!! Did the survey same as last time, will contact the District Manager tomorrow AGAIN!!!!! I went into buy my brother in law some Taki chips and to pickup chicken dinner and potato salad for dinner. The Takis's rang the wrong price. The cashier Pauline asked James who was up front to check the price. He phoned the register to say they were regular price($3.29). Pauline told me to walk to the back and show him. I obliged and told her they were the same chips that the tags were in front of on the shelf. I checked twice. James was at the end of the aisle end cap facing the meat. I pointed to the shelf mid aisle, pulled both tags to show the cashier. James said they don't go there. I said but they are here with the tags. Right here. He said "Oh well". I couldn't believe the attitude. I repeated him-Oh well? He said Yahh! I asked for his name. He pulled at his badge and said-James! He said that he did not care if I reported him. I go back up to the register with tags in hand. There were 2 yellow and red sale tags for 2/$5.00 versus regular price $3.29. I am now talking to Pauline with James continuing to chime in at the register behind me. Then another off duty girl in plain clothes, chimes in and starts at me. I asked her to stay out of it because she was not on the aisle with James and I when he rudely and aggressively taunted me about their wrong price tags. Manager Armando was at the other register taking customers out of Pauline's line. I spoke across to Armando to tell James to go in the back away from me. James continued to taunt and disrespect me. The off duty girl did as well. She walked behind Armando's register at close level yelling across at me as well. Armando never said anything. Again I asked him, now shaking and crying at the register to ask the girl to leave the store and ask James to go to the back of the store away from me. Armando did ask James to leave the front of the store again. I explained to Pauline and Armando that I managed my own stores for over 22 years and have never been treated so rudely as a customer. I would never allow any of my employees to treat or speak to a customer the way this staff did. This store staff showed complete disrespect, disregard for customer service, disregard for my safety, non fault of wrong pricing and placement of tags-I only received an apology from Armando when I asked for the corporate number and Pauline- since they were her friends and co-workers did not apologize till I mentioned it to her. I could not even leave the store because I was crying and shaking. I was afraid to walk outside into the parking lot for fear the guy James and his co worker were going to continue to taunt me. I stood at Armando' s register for a few minutes longer till I felt okay to leave the store. I really wanted Armando to walk me out to my car. I never felt more attacked in my entire life. I have shopped at Albertsons for many years and this is my neighborhood Albertsons. I have never been treated like this at any other store or chain. I usually come to Albertsons and have pleasant experiences. I enjoy the fresh produce and deli is amazing! Today is the first time I have had an issue with a employee. I was checking out and a young cashier named Michael was very rude and unprofessional. I started to pay for my groceries and had brought my own bags in. He handed me my receipt and start checking out a male customer behind me. I asked him if we bring our own bags do we have to bag our own merchandise now. He said no and continued to check the gentlemen behind me out mixing his groceries with mine. So I started bagging my own groceries and told him that he was very rude and the least he could have done was ask for my bag and bag my items. After that I started walking away and I heard him talking about me to the customer behind me. I'm not one to usually call a manager but after I got home I did call and spoke to the manager I believe her name was Cynthia (not sure) she was very apologetic and assured me that they are still a full service store and would speak to the employee right away. I know that Albertsons is a little more expensive and I could go to other grocery stores like winco and save money but I shop here for there great selection and customer service. Very Disappointed with this Pharmacist Ebony. I went up to the counter, my medication was ready, but not both my kids. They were on the counter just needed to be check off by Pharmacist Ebony. The Technician ask the Pharmacist if she could check medication since I was a waiter. Then you hear the Pharmacist yell, "I'm at Lunch" might I add she was just there a few seconds checking off other Medications before she went to the back. Very unprofession. The technician even ask again if she could please check them. Then the Pharmacist Ebony went to the counter seeming she'll check them off just looked, didn't check and left. Now I have to wait 45mins to get our medications with a nasty cold, major headche and body ache. read more

Pros: They have one really great, sweet, happy employee that began working there after Ralph's closed down & he is beyond awesome to ALL the customers and I know you (you Albertson's boss people if you are reading this) know exactly who I am talking about & he totally needs a raise! They also keep the store clean & it is literally the only supermarket in that end of Apple Valley w/produce worth a darn. Oh, they have really nice flowers & plants Cons: They are too darn expensive! They are pricier than all the major supermarkets in Apple Valley and other than a super Target (with HORRIBLE nasty produce) you have no choice if you just need to get a few things close to home. Their check out personal (the ladies) are really chatty with one another (WHILE YOU ARE STANDING THERE WAITING TO get your stuff paid for so you can get the heck home)..... SO RUDE! But the WORST (the INEXCUSABLE) is their deli workers & their deli meats & cheeses section. DELI: 1. There is only one employee who is sweet (and that is only sometimes) - the other ladies (maybe it is just the same lady over & over) are horrible. They treat you like you are bothering them every time you stand next to the meats & cheeses (I suppose it is because they have to walk all the way over to you and ask you if they could help you .... which apparently is very upsetting to them) If you actually do need help, you are really bothering them & it is much better if you say, "all I want is...." (and you pick only one thing). And no matter how sweet I am (and I mean kiss-arse complimenting, sunny mood, light-hearted, joking what ever... SWEET), they still act as if they are mad as hell to be alive, helping you & just plain hating you for being hungry. 2. Their deli meat is HIT OR MISS. I WAS buying sliced meat there every Sunday for the work week ahead. Sometimes the same meat one week will last for 3 to 5 days ... sometimes, 2 days... last time, 24 hours and it was GROSS! It was slimy and smelly -- gross! Their meats are old at least 1/3rd of the time & those odds are horrible! Seriously, who wants to take the chance buying their meat when there is a BIG chance that it won't last over a day or two? And OMG -- don't even THINK of asking them if a particular meat selection is fresh or if it has been opened for a day or two -- GAD FORBID because they act like it is some PERSONAL INSULT to them if you DARE ask if their slimy meat is fresh. Really? Is it better for YOU that I pay $9.00 a pound for your slimy smelly beef just so I don't possibly maybe insult you and push you off the edge to an even deeper anger? I am not nearly rich enough to buy old meat only to bring it home and throw it away as to not upset you. Bottom Line: Good for a quick produce trip (if you are like really rich) and HORRIBLE if you like fresh deli meats and cheeses - saving money and being treated kindly. read more

I normally don't shop at this grocery store but since my husband wanted their steak that was on special I decided to do my shopping at this grocery store... I have a 13 month old who's fussy and 8 months pregnant so I'm rushing to unload my stroller and the cashier was was not very polite to me once I handed her my coupons for the manger special deal, she first off said to me "oh you don't pull those off, cause I scan them as I go" I said I didn't know. She then I said I believe it took off the 30% Check your screen she said, "what am I checking" mind you my son is still fussy now the cashier is being rude and she looked frustrated at the fact she had to delete 4 items and re scan them with the coupon for 30% off... she then proceeded to say "it says right there on the coupon do not remove". She did not show me it says it on the coupon so I'm going by what she said.. I then felt offended at how this lady ( Betty), is handling the situation I ended up saying my error I didn't know... I know people have bad days and good days but common high desert is it that hard to be polite especially if your working as a cashier and offering customer service?
