This place delivers on service! Our first time here on a recommendation and we were so happy we went! We're having a BBQ for 7 adults and we were able to pick up all the meats, salsa, rice, tortillas and veggies toppings( cilantro,onion and limes) for $82! This place is simple, yet offers most of what's needed. The food they prepare is pretty good! The food is very authentic! I like their tacos, which consist of asada, chicken, tripe, etc. Their birria is ok, considering that it's made of beef. Their beans are great! The fried tilapia is pretty good as well. The menudo is pretty good, especially when it's mandatory to have...on the weekend. The carniceria offers plenty of fresh meats and fish, along with fresh vegetables and fruits. The sodas and beer are nice and cold. They also sell all kinds of Mexican candy, piñatas and pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). I've been to tons of meat markets and this one is by far the best. I got a few pounds of marinated meat and it was $10.99 lb which is common, but the meat was very good cuts. No fat after I was done cooking it either. I also got their green salsa which was very delicious. It was fresh and they seasoned it which is another difference from most places. It was very clean and all the food looked fresh. I would definitely cross highway 18 for this place. So much better than all the rest. read more

I have ordered prepared food from the back of this little market in the past, before covid, and they had so many sauces and sides that you could add to your plate. Of course, now everything is packaged separately during covid. I always enjoyed the carne asada tacos very much when they made them to order. Recently, we have started purchasing their raw, marinated carne asada to prepare ourselves at home. I have NEVER been a fan of carne asada we make at home, no matter where we've gotten it from. The pre-marinated, uncooked carne asada from this market is so fantastic! It is not very fatty (a very big pet peeve of mine is fatty meat) and it cooks up great. It is easy to cut if you want small pieces for tacos. We cut it, cook it up, drain it, then get it crispy all on our stovetop. I could not recommend their marinated carne asada highly enough! I was very surprised with how much we all enjoyed it, my 9 year old even liked it and she is not much of a meat eater. She declared that her 2nd favorite food is now the tacos we make with the carne asada from La Zecatecana Meat Market! I picked up a large carne asada seasoning from one of the shelves and we add a little of that sometimes, but it is not necessary at all. Also, the spicy red sauce and the medium green sauce are perfect additions to tacos. The meat is a little pricey but totally worth it. Definitely the best carne asada around! I'm going to go buy 3 more lbs today! read more

Best tacos around! Seriously, try for yourself, you won't be disappointed. I usually go in and immediately go to the back left corner to the meat counter to order (because you can order up front at the register too) after, I order, I grab a glass bottle of coke and maybe some Mexican candy (they have a huge selection) on my way to pay, then I turn around and go to the back right corner where they have tables and a topping bar (I always order my tacos plain so I can be as picky as I want with the toppings) and just sit down and relax with my coke while I wait for my tacos. I'm so glad my friend showed me this little gem. Oh, they also have the taco cart outside on the weekend nights. That was the first time I tried them, it was a great experience. read more
