The employees are not practicing social distancing or wearing masks. My daughter was there and they came very close to her instead of staying 6ft away. In addition there were 0 paper products demonstrating that they are not enforcing the buying limit. They need to step up their safety measures at this location. Cashiers are way too close without wearing masks. Please take care of these issues. If we're all in this together please get on board with the Guidelines. I hate to slam a business, but wow: negative shopping experience, on more than one occasion. The store is clean, the variety is fine, prices are typical for this chain (slightly higher than other regional grocery chains)... It's the customer service, every time - Boulder City used to have another option (Von's) but for about two years now, Albertsons is the only game in town and it shows. The staff is careless, impersonal, overly involved with each other and not responsive to customers, and just frankly weird and off-putting. It's unpleasant and, over time, annoying. I don't expect that much (though I am old enough to recall actual service from service personnel) but I'm reliably disappointed every time I go in. I have a broken ankle and using a walker with wheels. I was getting a cart which I thought I might be able use and was approached by Jake who told there is one electric chair not in use. He got it for me a told me to let him know when I am finished and he will help me. After paying and ready to leave there was Jake to help. He was VERY nice and helpful putting the groceries in my car and taking the cart back. Don't know what I would have done without his help. Great employees. I offered him some money but he would not except. Hope your there next time I go have to do a little shopping Jake. read more

This store is the posterchild for all that is wrong with Albertsons. The parking lot is too small. The entrance is setup strangely and you've got to wade past a bunch of crappy displays that make you feel like you're going through a maze to get in and out. The deli is a stripped down affair with 1/4 of what you want, a lot of crap you don't, and backed up with surly service behind the counter. The store itself is dingy, dirty, and pathetically stocked. And for the privilege of enduring a crappy store like this I get to pay the highest food prices of any chain in Southern Nevada to boot. Ugh! And I won't even get started on the expired orange and tangerine juices that made several people very sick and made for a rough weekend. In short I'm surprised Albertsons keeps a store like this open. I'm not a fan of Boulder City to begin with, I can't wait for the future Interstate 11 to bypass the dump with only 2 exits to connect to it. (And that's 1 too many IMHO). And stores like this do not improve my impression of the place not one bit. When Albertsons closes ALL of their Southern Nevada stores in the coming years you can look to the Boulder City location to understand why. 1 Star is being overly generous. new owners from Minnesota recently purchased the store .cut back the deli . changed the brand of meat and cheese in the deli. but finally a store that doesn't require the silly Club Card. still jerking us around with inconsistent wine and liquor prices. Don't like to have to buy a pallet of wine to get a price that still higher than Total Wine in Henderson. still love the self checkout.I'm lucky I get the bulk of my groceries at the Smith's store on Valley Verde in Henderson or Costco. great prices and service. Since Vons left BC one year ago, Albertsons has raised prices across the board ... very unhappy about that. And there are just too darned many people shopping there now ... it's a train wreck. Parking and departing are downright dangerous with all the people walking every which way and all the cars coming and going. And I was NOT happy 2 years ago when they took the self-checkouts away. Yesterday I found that the USB ATM in the store is so old that it doesn't even accept deposits. It's a round trip of 25 miles to the nearest USB bank/ATM that does ... I just sent USB a comment on that one. One tricky little device that Albertsons has begun is the shelf labeling with TINY print of the so-called "specials" ... where you may or may not have to buy 4 or 10 of an item to get the price. To a 75yo guy with crummy vision, this is maddening. Now for the store entrance: it's like driving in Istanbul, two blind corners in a row after entering, with a great chance of bumping into someone LEAVING the store. Madness! This store is now a DISASTER, and BC desperately needs ANOTHER STORE (Walmart Neighborhood Market or Smiths, please!). And now for the #1 gripe BY FAR: take a little walk to the far back right corner of the store to the fish and meat counter (just past the pharmacy). What's that smell? Are we in Yellowstone Park? This used to be a great store when it didn't have to accommodate the whole town+tourists driving thru. I miss having a second grocery store and I especially miss Vons. Albertsons has become constantly crowded and busy and way overpriced. I used to know all the checkers but now they have like 175 employees I don't recognize anyone. If you only have to run in for a couple things I would recommend going late at night so you don't have to wait in line forever. If you have a whole weeks a shopping to do, do yourself a favor and go to Henderson.. Winco, Smiths or Walmart. read more

I went there earlier with my boyfriend and this girl at the deli department area was sooo rude to me and my boyfriend. I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager but I didn't believe her. It's Boulder City, this is your only choice when it comes to grocers but, I strongly suggest a quick jaunt into henderson to any other grocery store then this one!!! If you don't have a car then take the bus, walk, hitch hike, whatever you have to do because I don't wish the horrible experience of shopping at this shit-hole on my worst enemy!! I live in Boulder City, NV. I have to shop at Smith's. Here at Albertsons they have high prices. Whenever I buy a few things that I forgot at Smith's it include's Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, and Turtle Food, I spend at least $50.00. I would shop here if they have cheaper prices. I love the staff here, but it is just expensive. When I first moved here in Boulder City, NV I spend at lest $250.00 on food for a family of 3, and I buy the same things at Smith's for only about $150.00-$200.00, and I am always on a strict budget. With bills stacking up, and I use coupons everywhere, and yet Albertsons is still expensive than Kroger ( AKA Smith's). I would say go to Smith's, not Albertsons. read more

Sherri at the Bakery is awesome. She's done a few cakes for me and I've gotten many compliments on them. She recently did my daughter's first birthday cake and a cupcake cake for the guests. I am not sure what store these other people are writing about. It's not the one in Boulder City. I shopped everyday Mon-Fri for almost a year. The store was always clean the cashiers except for one or two were terrific. Next time look for Mike and go through his line he always has a smile and a good word. I had a problem with the bakery and I talked to the General Manager about it and it was taken care of right away. I even saw him buy someone's groceries because of the new computer system. I am sorry I don't get into the store much anymore it always started my day off right. read more

I can assure you that I will never go back to this store again! I've lived in Boulder City for 36 years...and this is the worst store I've ever been to! I purchased 2 pounds of "FRESH WILD CAUGHT SALMON" for $18.00 on July 24, 2014. I drove home and prepared it. WITHIN 1 HOUR WE BOTH WERE RUNNING TO THE RESTROOM!!!!!! We got extremely ill with diarrhea, upset stomach and complete and total weakness with dehydration from FOOD POISONING!!!! IT'S THE FOLLOWING DAY AND WE ARE STILL BOTH SICK FROM ALBERTSON'S SO CALLED FRESH SALMON!!!!! This store needs to be shut down!!!!! They are going to end up killing someone!!!!! There are many people that have gotten sick from their meat and produce! And we unfortunately were one of them. I called the manager and demanded a refund and told him what their "fresh salmon" has done to us. This Albertsons Supermarket was nothing more than what I expected it to be. First off it's like the only grocery store that is in close range of anything, so pretty much it was my only option. Prices seemed to be the same as all of the other Albertsons that I've been to. Only difference with this place was that the shelves seemed like they were lacking in some areas. Which areas, I couldn't tell you. Just seemed a little bit more run down than I'm used to. I'm sure they get a lot of business since (like i said) it's the only place in town pretty much. But overall, I got what I needed and left in a reasonable amount of time. The people who worked there were very nice. One thing that really stood out to me is that when I was at the cash register checking out, I let them know I would also be needing a bag of ice. One of the workers then got the bag for me and put it in my cart (I'm used to having to get it myself). So I found that to be very polite and courteous of them. All in all I think it could be worse, but then again it could have been a lot better. Not quite 2 stars, not quite 3. Let's just say 2.5 in my book. I would go there again, but just because it's the only place in town pretty much. read more

I actually have only good things to say about Albertsons. First of all, it is NOT the only store in town. There is a Vons right across the street. Albertsons has the better deli. They also have an excellent bakery and their produce is good, too. Is the parking lot too small? I suppose. What are you going to do? Buy out all the other businesses there? Can't be done. Why complain about something that cannot be fixed. In their meat department, I have found their food is a better bargain than Vons. The chicken breasts I buy are the best I have ever purchased anywhere. What I'm really a big fan of, however, is there "We cut too much" bacon! For about $2.50, I get a whole lot of bacon. I bought some bulk end pieces bacon from Wal-Mart, but it was so crammed in the package, it was impossible to separate to use. And what I could tear out was shredded. Not so the Albertsons bacon. They cut it and package it there, and I can (and do) use every piece. Regular bacon gives me about 2-1/2 meals worth of bacon. The Albertsons end-piece bulk bacon keeps me going for at least 4 days for about $1.75 LESS! Folks, this is a small town. It would be impractical for the local grocery stores to stock their shelves as if it were a town of 50,000. If you want to go over the hill to Costco or Wal-Mart, go! But for my money, which I dearly love, I don't mind paying a little more (or less, when it comes to bacon) to get better quality. I've found the staff friendly and helpful, too. read more

I love this grocery store. I've lived here fo 4 years and I can say the people are always friendly. I always see Stacy that works produce and occasionally she would help out at the checkout stand if they were really busy. I am there almost every day as I do alot of cooking or baking, I have a family that eats me out of house and home. (Seriously lol) I can attest the girls and guys at this store are always helpful. The ladies at the Deli Like Staci (different one, blonde hair) are great and friendly as well as the butcher counter I believe her name is Dori?! ( I hope I didn't get their names wrong. She's always so happy to help and on occasion has given me a couple recipes ideas for crab legs or shirmp.. I am happy to see that there is a butcher counter still in BC. I usually don't need the prepackaged weighted stuff as I have different portions to cook at any given time. . The competetors across the way don't even have a butcher counter. I like to be able to ask for just what I need. All the staff there are awesome and so friendly and if you need help they are always helpful. When the new owners took over the staff were more than willing to help me find what it was I was looking for. I had actually gone in looking for anchovy paste.. the young guy from produce helped me, unfortunately no such luck. Its ok.. I'm happy he helped me. . I cannot remember the two gentlemen working the day I came in for whipping cream. One was a little older gray/white hair and glasses. So friendly and so helpful, it seems as though the shelf is empty. He was so helpful and had gone to the back in the dairy fridge and the other fella who was actually stocking the shelves was apologetic and said if theres anything I need please ask. I said, you've just given me what I needed, " Whipping Cream". I love how they go above to help a customer out. Then at checkout with Misty or Chris or any of the crew. They are such a delight and I love chatting with them as they check me through, aslways friendly and ask if theres anything else we need! (stamps? Ice? ) Honesty, that's the main reason why I shop there, as the competetors across the road are not friendly at all. I'll see you guys again probably tomorrow!!! read more
