    You have arrived!

This location offers a gas station, pharmacy, deli, sushi, an on-site bar, pizza, chicken, Starbucks, a good produce and liquor selection and more. The staff is helpful and the store is conveniently located for us with plentiful parking. One item of note: The vegan cold case was shrunk significantly the past few months, necessitating a trip to nearby Sprouts. This story is very busy on weekends so plan accordingly. (Yes there is gaming.)

I have never heard of a Smith's marketplace as we are new to the lake Las Vegas area. I was surprised to see on how appetizing everything looked. It was a breath of fresh air but the only other thing that surprised me that there was a bar in this grocery store! I was pleasantly surprised on the variety of everything including clothes, sundries, and cookware! I can make an assumption that this is a higher end version of Walmart which is amazing!

Purchased a 4 pack of Honeycrisp apples; got home, unpacked it, and one was mushy soft on one end - "conveniently" packaged by Smith's so I couldn't see it but it should have been apparent to the staff person who put the pack together. I cut that section off and found it was rotten completely through. I tossed it. I went back assuming "things" happen and it wouldn't happen again. 2nd pack - same exact thing today. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Grocery stores should NOT pack knowingly spoiled food hoping we won't notice. No more shopping at Smith's for me. This was intentional deceit.

    10/3/24 Cool.

Quality/Quantity - Wow, I mean wow. This is the LARGEST Smiths I have ever been to! See pictures. Most importantly, they have a bar; both beer and wine. Too bad it was too early for me to drink, even in LV. Some of the departments are: Beer and Wine bar (Happy Hour BOGO), Huge Liquor, Wine and Beer aisles, Pharmacy, Starbucks, Full Service Seafood and Meat Department, Deli, Cheese Department, Small Casino, Pizza, Sushi, Chicken, Bank (credit union). Atmosphere - Again, the largest Smiths I have ever been to. See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 6am to midnight. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Easy in and out. Need a gift card and a few bottles of water. I also like the fact that they have scanners to check prices, see pictures. Price - $105. $100 for a gift card, $5 for waters. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1911. 1911 - L. Smith. 1932 - Smith's & Son's Market. 1952 - Smith's Super Market. 1997 - Bought by Fred Meyer. 1998 - Bought by Kroger, current parent company. This Smith is run well; please appreciate the manager and their team.

Receipts for the last two days.

For the past two days, I came here for lunch because we're working on the new buildings next door. Well today, I was wrongfully accused of stealing food for the last two days and my supervisor had to drive all the way out to talk to the "lady" that accused me. "She" refused to speak with him after having him drive 30+ minutes, and after he proved to her that she was completely wrong. If you want to be wrongly accused for some shitty food. This is the place for you!

Although Winco officially means Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, and Oregon; the way I see it…read moreWinco means "Winning." At 90,0000 square feet, the Henderson Winco has been winning at pricing and selection since they opened on March 4, 2012. In contrast to local supermarket chains including Walmart Neighborhood Market, Albertson's, and Smith's; Winco does not saturate the market. In Las Vegas there are currently only three WinCo's. With that being the case, I don't visit as much as I would like to. I am impressed by the prices. WinCo's strategy is to keep costs down by passing over advertising and not accepting credit cards to avoid the merchant processing fees. Additionally there is no pharmacy which keeps the overhead down. I feel that the lack of advertising makes Winco unique and creates this mystique. Without advertising telling me what to think about the business, my mind has its own marketing about the supermarket. It kind of reminds me of a 1970s supermarket. The exterior and logo remind me of the long defunct Woolco Department Store. It is a clean brightly lit store with what I consider a modernized version of a 1970s store. I say this in a good way. When I enter the store through The Wall of Savings I am greeted with a brightly lit and clean store surrounded by deals. It is the antithesis of a dingy and cluttered discount supermarket. Throughout the store the shopping experience is great. In the heart of the store, the top shelf is roughly equivalent to the top of my head. This alleviates the situation of having to struggle to reach for something on the top shelf. From shopping here, I noticed something missing in action. That is lock up cases. I did not see one lock up case. That includes health and beauty aids. I am impressed with their selection. They carry brands that I have not seen at other local supermarkets. This includes Shasta soda. My Winco tradition has been to pay 50 cents for a can of Shasta soda at the vestibule. My go-to item at Winco has been the Tastee Choice frozen shrimp dinners. They are delicious , filling, and cost around $4. Throughout the outstanding selection permeates through the fresh areas, the bulk candy, bakery, and aisles throughout the store. The one thing that Winco can improve on is the check out process. It is normal to only have a few lanes open at a time. There could be a wait. To the left of the full-serve checkouts there are a few self checkout terminals. Additionally, although I don't mind, customers have to bag their own orders. As stated earlier, to pass down the savings, Winco does not accept credit cards. The way I see it, Winco means "Winning." When it comes to finding a great selection and prices, I win when I shop at Winco.

Date of visit: July 11, 2026…read more When I first saw this store, I thought it was part of Winn-Dixie, and it wasn't until later that I found it it's not related to that other chain at all and is essentially the Western version of Woodman's a chain we have back in the Milwaukee area. Unlike Woodman's, WinCo was calm and not overcrowded, whereas Woodman's is like Black Friday every day. I appreciated that slower pace and the large selection of items across the store. Though some of the deals shown in the aisle as you enter are misleading: I was looking for Raspberry Arizona ice tea, on sale for an amazing 68 cents per can. But that wasn't displayed at all, giving me the impression that they didn't carry the flavor. But later I stumbled across it in the soft drink aisle. Employees were visible but not interacting with the shoppers at all, disappointing as I would have expected the "employee owned" aspect to come through in the customer service. Speaking of service, Jalapen my cashier was very friendly, partially making up for the lack of acknowledgement during the rest of the visit. I was a bit concerned about cleanliness at the store, the conveyor belt at the register was old and either dirty, stained, or both. The dividers to separate customer orders were also gross. While there some good deals to be had, I'm not likely to drive out to WinCo when there are closer and cleaner stores to be found in Vegas.

The female greater's are always pleasant, which makes for a good experience but the male greater's are grumpy and not the least bit kind. I like that the store is always fully stocked. Today I was in the cosmetic department around 3:00 pm and for the first time an employee I think her name was Sarna? Young lady with long dark hair. She came right to me and asked if she could help, and even made several suggestions and asked if I needed anything else b4 going to the next customer. WOW! That has never happened, I usually have to chase down an employee. Keep up the good work.

Turns out, they don't honor "online pricing" in store. So now they're paying someone to put back everything I pulled (I'm not paying double), and paying someone to repull it later when I purchase it online, and paying someone to bring it to my car for free curbside pickup. It is literally costing the company more money (and it's less convenient for customers) - just honor the scanned price or our price tags back on merchandise! Also - the dressing room attendant is incredibly mean and rude! She openly complained about the person before me saying "I'm not putting all that back, they tried in the whole store!" And told me as I walked in, more than once, "everything better come out exactly as it went in".
