We tried for the first time to use the delivery the delivery service (June 8th) offered by Albertsons. Did not know they use an UBER service. Although the delivery service person was very nice, so no points off for that. However, we were handed an 8 pack of donuts in a back from the handles. (vertical) I made a statement that they were donuts and the delivery person was caring and stated Albertson did not say anything about what was in the bag. Albertson not only did this, they provided us with 3 lbs of hamberger meat. This Hamberger was packed on the 6th and sell by the 7th. we got this order on the 8th. This meat was all brown inside and out. We were glad we did not order any other meat. The quality of the picking and handling of food was not to our standard and will not be using this store for groceries again. read more

Highest prices in town (includes Safeway as they are affiliated) 3 stars is being generous but I've been shopping these stores as a loyal customer but I financially and finally had to cut ties. Their ridiculous price savings by way of a mobile app is plain ridiculous. If you don't make sure to double check the app for coupon you don't get the sales price- if in store coupon clipping doesn't load in time you pay full price - I'm over it! Over all the store is clean with a great produce department....my question is the deli which during snowbird season is very busy...the biggest issue i have there is 4 people doing tasks and 1 employee waiting on 5 people backed up!! Albertsons is 1 of 6 lake Havasu chain markets it being centrally located on Main Street aka McCulloch Blvd downtown.located in a strip mall between Riviera and Smoketree. Decent parking is a challenge if you don't display handicapped banners or plates. Deli and bakery is to your left and carries a generous variety of their prepared salads, whole chickens, cakes and breads. The entire store is usually well stocked Fresh, ripe fruits and vegetables including organic. Their butchers seasoned and knowledgeable Sergio, usually works days-can usually answer any questions you have on the cuts or he'll pass your inquiry to an associate if the meathead is up to his neck. lol, don't tell him to look at this yelp post, although I think I'm complimenting him. Albertsons has just about everything you could ask for if you just need a couple of things or a full shopping list. I had the misfortune of shopping at this store this evening and checking out with the sourest, rudest checker by the name of Yolanda. She was nasty from the moment we arrived at her check stand. When I asked about the price of an item that was not registering on sale, she said "sales come off at the end of the transaction". I didn't hear it correctly and she repeated herself, emphasizing each word in a snooty manner. As I suspected, she had overcharged me for the item in question so I went back into the store and took a picture of the sign with the sale price. With my usual crappy luck, she came to the customer service counter and so I had to deal with this nasty woman yet again. I showed her the photo I took and the receipt where she overcharged me. At one point my phone went dark and she literally shoved the phone across the counter at me and said "pull up the photo again". By now I had had enough of this witch and requested to speak to the store manager. When I asked for the manager by name, she interjected with "he's been gone for months already". A young male came over who was ridiculously timid and wasn't much help at all. He gave me a half hearted apology when I explained that his cashier was behaving unprofessionally and rude to customers. Bottom line, every time I've shopped at Albertsons' there has been a discrepancy in price and now TWO cashiers who need to ask themselves whether they really want to work with the public. Because these sour b**ches need to check their crappy attitudes at the door. Don't take out your lousy day on unsuspecting customers who come to your check stand with a friendly demeanor. PHARMACY I called yesterday (Thursday 1/23/20) to have my prescription transferred from my pharmacy in CA. I spoke to a female on the phone who told me she would handle the transfer and since my meds were not in stock she would place an order and my order would be ready today (Friday 1/24/20) and to call after 9am. Well I called today nothing had been done re my meds. Nothing had been ordered and no transfer had occurred. Thank goodness I got Milla(sp) on the phone. After realizing nothing had been done she quickly called my pharmacy in CA transferred the prescription and since my meds had not been ordered and would not be available until Monday she called Safeway who had my meds in stock and I could pick them up in 30 mins. While I was angry at the first person who did not handle my order I am grateful for Milla who did a great job of fixing the problem. The manager needs to take a look at the employee who did not handle my order. I would think when you a dealing with meds there is no room for mistakes.... Albertsons is a good store although I don't shop there that often, but the times I was there everyone was friendly, the produce good. I always liked their bakery until today June 7.2020. A week or so ago I ordered a sheet birthday cake for my husband's 99th birthday at a memory care center. I pre-paid and said I needed it for June 7. at 11 am. I'm a punctual person and was there at 11 am, what wasn't there was my husband's birthday cake. The woman in the bakery looked at a clipboard and found the slip, but NO CAKE but lots and lots of excuses. In the end they promised to make one but they didn't have a white one in stock just a marble cake. I went to the service desk and told the lady I wanted to see the manager, evidently the manager wasn't around. I was so upset that I was shaking, the lady, sorry I forgot her name was wonderful, she said she'd handle it and would deliver it, she left a $20 store gift certificate for me at the center which as nice, but I feel that the cake should have been comped. I love shopping here for my groceries when I'm on this side of town. They are always clean, I can find close parking, store is always stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables (both organic and non organic).. Any produce or meats you get is always top quality. The prices are reasonable and the store is always stocked. I have never had a problem not finding something I was looking for and all the staff are friendly and helpful. I went in today and had Allison as my cashier, and i was so embarrassed when I found out my WIC didn't cover somethings I needed for my son and I. She said don't worry we have all been there, made my situation a lot less embarrassing, was caring and helpful. I just wanted the managers to know you have a very kind hearted, humble, patient, thoughtful and caring employee. It made our day! She is the true definition of outstanding customer service! There are several great grocery stores in Havasu City. Don't waste your time here. First an employee almost ran into me with a full garbage can being pushed on a dolly. Then a few days later I was in the cafe and an employee came over and started unscrewing and removing the very electrical outlet I was using for my laptop! Ha Ha. This is my favorite grocery store in Lake Havasu, hands down. The store is clean, and the employees have always been so polite. My father was a butcher, so I am picky when it comes to meat counters. There's a young man in the meat department I usually see there (not sure of his name) but he is always friendly and when I look a little lost or too deep in thought, and asks if i need assistance finding anything in the store. He really goes out of his way for customers! Their produce is good quailty too and the guys in produce are super awesome too! The ladies at the deli are always very nice and let me know when rotisserie chickens are coming out. I really like making Albertson's my go-to store because shopping is actually a nice experience. They have good quality groceries and a great staff. I take the time to review businesses honestly, and I feel like it's important to review even grocery stores on yelp, because most people come here to complain. I hope all the employees there know how much people like me appreciate their nice kept store and smiles! What a friendly store. I was in Lake Havasu for work for 4 weeks and this store became my go-to grocery store. I work graveyard so dinner to me is at 8am. This store always has fresh-cooked chicken ready early. My first time in I spoke with Chris, a very nice young man, who was putting out the chicken, and he assured me that there would be chicken ready by 8am every day. Absolutely the best store in town if you just need groceries. By todays standards it's a bit of a no-frills kinda store. There's no bank. There's no Starbucks. The deli doesn't make "made-to-order" sandwiches, they do have premade sammys, fried chicken and a few other deep fried things though. OH, and of course, all the stuff a deli would have to make your own. The store itself is one of the newest (although 5? years old now) in town and besides Smiths (a dump) the largest, it's huge, wide aisles....easy to shop. Always well stocked and clean. If I could give zero stars I would! Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the cake before they fixed it .... but here is what happened. About a week ago me and my dad came here to get my moms 60th birthday cake. We asked for a BIG 60 and happy birthday written on the top with balloons streamers and confetti on it. We arrived today and the cake was the ugliest cake I ever have seen! The colors was orange blue and red!!! No balloons no confetti and the 60 was written in black and was about an inch big. The writing was shaky and not straight. We expressed that the cake was not what we asked for and the girl in bakery with pink hair acted like we didn't have a right to be upset- this is a big birthday and we expressed what we wanted when we ordered it! So she asked if we wanted a lazer image 60 that would of course cost $10 more. We just need it fixed to give to my mom at dinner. We came back and the manager of bakery is standing there acting as if we are the issue- not the ugly cake and the fact she let it out of her bakery looking like my 13 yrd decorated it. I asked did you see the cake before it left your bakery, she puffed up and stated she had-and that everything is interpretation. I have always enjoyed shopping at Albertsons. When I lived in Santa Fe, NM, Boulder City NV, Las Vegas NV, and several other towns they have always been my go-to-market. I was used to paying a little more for some products when shopping there, but I always really enjoyed Deli Turkey Breast, Sushi selection, Hot wings, and the quality of the produce, so I felt it was worth it. Recently when they were charging over $5 for a can of tuna that was sold in several other places in town for under $2.00 for the exact same item, I was a little taken aback. Still, they do have good specials occasionally that help even that out. However, since moving to Lake Havasu City, AZ, time and time again, I have been charged full price for sale items. When I use self-checkout I am constantly having to wait to call someone over to adjust the charges. Often I do not have the time and just begrudgingly pay full price as I am on lunch from work or short on time. On my last visit, I stocked up on a great value on Tillabrook cheeses, they were on a nice sale with a 4 limit, so I bought 4. I went through a cashier aisle, and was distracted at checkout talking to another customer in line, and did not catch that again, I was charged full price for the cheese. I was overcharged for almost $12. OK, mistakes happen, but not only does it seem to happen time and time again at this location, but they could care less. I contacted Albertsons on the web, I explained the situation and sent a copy of the receipt. I was contacted back in a reasonable time by Albertsons corporate who said that this would be forwarded to the local store and I should hear back from them shortly. Weeks went by with nothing. I contacted Albertsons again via the website, again never heard from the local store. Very apathetic customer service, I think I am done with this company. read more

The stench when you walk in is overwhelming, nauseating. The only way to describe it was like hundreds of bags of horrid, rotten potatoes spread all over the store or an equal number of unremoved, dead mice in traps under all the shelving. Just moved here & had a list, but wouldn't buy produce or meat because, ummm, exactly where IS that smell coming from? I didn't have faith in how sanitary it all is. I wouldn't even have gone in if I hadn't saved so much on cases of Rockstars. Where they his the energy drinks, I don't know because they weren't with the rest if the drunks. I have come to the saturation point of patience with the lack of items you either no longer carry like Wolf's Chili (better than Dennison's or Hormel) and items you are always out of stock on like certain dog foods, which 98% of what you DO carry is garbage. Good bye and fare thee well. Basha's is still the best and even though it is on the other side of town, it is well worth the drive. I do not blame the store, I blame so called management at corporate and the over educated, over dressed and over paid morons in the "Ivory Towers". My experience in the last 4 days! Went shopping and asked as usual for heavy items to be double bagged, as usual they were not, I got to my car where 2 bags broke and i had to chase my groceries around the parking lot in 115 degree heat. You never used to have to tell them that because people had common sense! A couple of days later, I got my things and went to the check out where the checker had her family visiting and did not acknowledge me in any way and did not stop talking to them. When I saw the total, i knew it was wrong and I was being ripped off and questioned it. Turned out that she had double charged me on several items by not paying attention. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Unknowingly got there close to closing time. After they made an announcement they closed in 3 minutes (when my cell phone told me they should be closing in 6 minutes) I frantically tried to get the stuff I needed. 3 minutes was enough time as I only needed a couple more things. Maybe 90 seconds after the announcement, a grumpy masked older lady chases me down the aisle telling me I have to take the stuff I have to the register NOW. My cell phone confirms I should have 4 more minutes. She then goes and yells at my wife and kids who were in another aisle grabbing the last items. I made a remark in the most friendly tone I could muster at this point about them seeming to close early. She rolls her eyes and is so rude in response I told her I didn't even want the items anymore and she could put them away. This is a great place to shop and now that we get gas rewards it makes it even better. I love getting my gas at a $1.00 less per gallon. It's really helpful when your boat needs gas!
