While our car was charging, we walked over to Albertsons grocery store to check it out. They have a very nice prepared foods section and deli. They had Bao buns and sushi, a huge selection of cheeses and delicious looking cakes and pastries. It's a big grocery store and probably one of the main places locals go for their grocery needs. They have a nice customer service desk if you need help and the store is very organized and clean inside. read more

One of the very few grocery stores in the area! Though it is an older store, it is clean and very well stocked. The staff is friendly and everything well stocked and fresh. Plenty of easy parking, the prices are fair if you shop seasonal and their sales. read more

I was camping in the area and I was craving some chicken strips from the deli so I made my way to Albertsons. The store is a standard format and clean. The person helping me at the deli counter was nice and that's kinda where it ended. While I was waiting for my strips and wedges order, I overheard an older man yell across the deli to a young man asking him to come to him. The older man then began scolding the young man, loudly, as I could hear him over the sounds of the deli and store traffic. He was scolding him for not telling him that he had gone on lunch? I understand maybe telling him once and to not do it again, but the older man kept on and on about it. It made me feel very uncomfortable and the girl preparing my order clearly looked uncomfortable as she kept looking back at what was going on. Very unprofessional. At check out, there were very long lines. Self serve was maybe 15 people long and normal lanes about 6 people. When it was my turn at the normal lane, the cashier looked visibly frustrated and speaking under her breath about someone coming to help. She said something like "now they help when the line died down". Also unprofessional. I'm in a beautiful city, doing what I love doing (camping), and I have this ugly and awkward experience. Employees acting this way in front of customers demonstrates what a toxic workplace environment looks like and I won't be giving them my business in the foreseeable future. read more

Once again the Floral Department delivers the best selection of Roses at the right price. Fridays are fabulous...it makes for a regular stop to "Smell the Roses" and buy 3 bunches. Thanks to Heidi & Yen the selection is fabulous and our flowers are lasting for 7 or more days. read more

The delivery guy Kyle made me 3-4 star rating go to 5. Super polite and helpful. Need more people like him in the world.

The meat selection at this Albertson's is pretty bad. I have purchased a pork roast that looked ok on the outside but underneath was 3" of fat. Bought a beef roast that looked ok but underneath was so tough neither of us could eat it. We have asked butcher to cut us some 3" filet mignon steaks and he brought out steaks that were absolutely delicious! Is all the good cuts of meat kept in the back? read more

Morro Bay Albertson's is a fine grocery store. They have a good selection, the employees are helpful and courteous, and the store is neat and clean. The store is ADA compliant and has mobility shopping scooters for the disabled, unlike some businesses such as Morro Bay Miner's Hardware. read more

We celebrated our anniversary in Cambria, Our daugher ordered us an amazing floral arrangement from here. The arrangement was the most beautiful the hotel staff had ever seen delivered. The next day, another hotel staff member commented on just how beautiful the Hawaiian style basket floral was. Today we purchased Diet Pepsi and the label said 'Buy 2 Get 2 Free.' The label was under the 12 pack and the 24 pack as well. We selected the cubes and went through the line with all of our purchases. Apparently there was a digital coupon we missed, and it rang up per cube. After telling them how the label read, the man checked and said it was wrong. He checked with a manager and she brushed it off. Call me crazy, but if the product is labeled wrong, it should be honored. read more

The cashier (Jacinta R) that served me today was dishonest and cunning - I only bought 1 item - 10 shallots, she counted and asked if I bought 11; I told her 10 and even counted the 10 shallots for her to see BUT she still charged me for 11 and then gave me the wrong change ($0.50 less). I was in a hurry and didn't check the receipt or change. So in total I was cheated $1 this time. Very cunning lady coz I was expecting $15 dollars change not $14 and becoz she charged me for 11 shallots, she gave me $1 less and if I didn't check the change and receipt, I wouldn't have noticed it and she can pocket the $0.50. So to all shoppers, make sure you check your receipt and change when you use the cashiers. read more

Great news, the Floral Department in Albertson's is back running on track. Under the guidance of Yen and Denise there has been a dynamic step up in stocking beautiful and creative arrangements for any event or gift. Both Yen and Denise are professional, friendly, kind, and clearly committed to quality work and providing a wide range of flowers and floral arrangements. Three years back we would always buy a couple of arrangements each week for ourselves or family & friends. Then the staff would turnover and we weren't regular, weekly customers. Back then the choice of arrangements were limited and lacking creativity. It's all changed. Drop in and check it out. It is clean, well-maintained, and usually well stocked in all departments. Deli - The deli employees are very busy with a constant flow of people. The hot prepared foods & salad bar are always plentiful. There is a sushi section next to the deli that is independently operated. Usually a person is preparing fresh selections; a good choice of freshly made items is usually available. Bakery - The bakery department has a large selection of fresh baked goods, from breads to cakes, pastries, and more. Produce - The produce employees are always adding & improving new displays of their well stocked fresh veggies & fruits. Meat - The meat department has a large selection of pre-packaged fresh & frozen meats, as well as a premium meat case of choice meats & a large selection of seafood. Liquor - The liquor department has a very large variety of local & imported wines, a large selection of craft beers & ciders, as well as liqueurs & hard spirits. Floral - The floral department is usually filled with an excellent selection of fresh-cut flowers & arrangements along with vases & other floral accessories. We had recently had some amazing bakery cookies from an Albertsons in NM, so when I saw this store, I wanted to check it out. Of course the bakery area was at the opposite end of the store from where I entered. That wasn't a complaint...I love how huge the Albertsons stores are! So I found the cookies and picked us out a nice selection. The cashier who helped me was really nice. And we really enjoyed our cookies later that evening when we got back to our hotel. read more

This is the grocery store we patronize when we visit Morro Bay. The interior of this Albertson's has been clean each visit we've made. Exterior could be cleaner and the carts could use replacing. Staff have been alright. No bad experiences with any employee. I like the self checkout lines. Prices seem fair to me as well. I want to give a big shout out thank you to the staff at the pick up and go here at the Morro Bay Albertson's. They are really good at picking out quality meats and produce just like I would choose for myself. They give me the same deals I would get in-store and sometimes extra deals for shopping in the app and I get to stay safe at home on my couch and just pick up when it's ready, they load it right in my trunk and I take it home and unload. Now, if they only would come put it away and then cook it for me and do the dishes lol... We have been ordering consistently since they got this service in town and it has only improved with time. The staff is really friendly and always goes out of their way to make sure you are happy with your orders. We will continue using them! I really appreciate that they take the time and care to label bags with eggs and are careful to ask where you want them placed in the car for transport. Little things like that really make a difference! Love this service! They are essential to surviving in this pandemic! read more

I am out of state visiting Morro Bay and stopped in at Albertson's today for some groceries. The cashier, Jacinta, was the rudest, grouchiest and unprofessional person ever. She ommitted two of my purchases and didn't have the common knowledge to just add them to my tab. She had to turn it into a whole separate purchase and then had the nerve to shake her stupid head at ME!!! Prior to my transaction, I observed her being rude to the customer in front of me as well. As if that wasn't enough, my daughter and children were in line behind me, and she treated her rudely as well. This woman has a job a zoo monkey could do, but even that was too much for her. This sour attitude has turned us off so much, we'll do our shopping elsewhere while we are vacationing. We don't need nasty people like Jacinta clouding our view of Morro Bay. read more
