Great spot for a snack. Came for ice cream and ended up eating. Great options for kid friendly foods.

We ordered the parfaits, and the triple berry had real fruit in it! They were a little full so they did overflow a little, but is that really a bad thing? The woman who was taking orders was really nice, and the music wasnt too loud. Overall would recommend, just eat it there.. and not in your car.

Since I'm gluten free, I opted out of the cone and got a half and half soft serve in a large cup. When the worker handed me the cup, I was in disbelief it was a large. Seemed really small. Next time I'd skip the dipped chocolate. This didnt really do any favors to the ice cream, and tasted more like the oil they use than chocolate

Sometimes when your road trippin' a simple Scooby Snack is all you need. Hubs was hungry, I was not. Enter Fosters, a So Cal staple since 1946! Every once and again a Fosters will appear on our radar and be the perfect solution to a hungry question. Instantly we can recall the first time we saw a Fosters employee take a soft serve vanilla cone, turn in upside down and plunge it in to a vat of melted chocolate before presenting you with your first "chocolate dipped cone". Magic! We now see another sort of magic happening as these long held traditional burger joints start fading away. Each Fosters tries to bring its own personality into the mix and it can turn into something special, as it has with this Morro Bay location. We arrived, parked at the curb outside and immediately noticed the sidewalk chalk art. Arrows individually drawn with Fosters treats and playful characters in bright colors, directing customers to the order window and a hopscotch for playing whilst you await your treats! The dining room also looks newer compared to other Fosters we've seen, and its cleanliness was very inviting. Hubs ordered 2 hot dogs and a small Pepsi. Simple. $11.77 TL. While, that made the small(aka baby sized 6oz, maybe?) Pepsi a whopping $3, it was a cheap, simple and delicious enough meal for him to be satisfied. In Morro Bay, along the Embarcadero, we later noticed a walk up window charging $7 for a single hot dog. While eating, we noticed a dad & daughter sit down with their food. Shortly after, she knocked over her Dr. Pepper. Dad jumped to ask for paper towels to clean, but staff came out promptly, cleaned it up and replaced her drink. Noice! Note: no refills on sodas is offered, but that's no reason to punish a kid that already feels bad. Well done, staff! Everyone worked fast and efficiently and the place had personality! Lots of options for eats and treats if you enjoy convenience foods. Even some swag to purchase I understand that are well known for their burgers and fries but, thanks to another Yelper's photo, I juuust may come back and try their limited time offering of Triple Berry Cheesecake Twister. There may not be one single real berry in the dessert, but all that delicious sugar sure looks tempting! LOL Cheers! "CC"

Food hot and fast Service awesome Register gal such a sweet heart There was a little line when we showed up, but it went fast. There was hopscotch out on the sidewalk while we were waiting in line. We have our food inside where it was warmer.

Who doesn't love Fosters Freeze? I know I do. There is a reason that there is often a line waiting to order. This is some of the best ice cream around. My wife and I will often drive the 30 miles from Paso Robles just to come and enjoy the great cold treats! It may be a bit on the pricey side but, it's worth it! On a nice day, you usually want to sit a one of the tables outside. The inside dining area is nice too. The whole place can definitely get crowded on those busy, warm days! Just be prepared to wait. They will run out of some options on busy days too. But, it's always worth the wait to get yourself a great, delicious treat!

It comes with two pieces of Texas toast. Nicely toasted with a buttery crunch on the outside, yet fluffy anf soft on the inside. Perfect for dipping. Now, about the chowder... The LOADED seafood chowder wasn't really good, it was DELICIOUS!! Our server said it's actually award winning! We will definitely return for their chowder. So flavorful and creamy! Perfect! Our server, Kaitlyn, she was super sweet and also the best. Very thoughtful in thinking of everything. Thank you, Kaitlyn! Morro Grill's reviews looked pretty good so we're looking forward to returning to try their other menu items. Especially their homemade carrot cake that Kaitlin recommended but we were too full. They're located upstairs but they have an elevator if you need it. They have indoor and outdoor seating (right on the water). The outside can get a little warm on sunny days but not as hot as the Central Valley! Morro Grill has only been here a year but we hope they'll last many more, for our return trips!

Mostly we were excited about the mid 90's, early 2000's music playlist that included Biggie; Bone, Thugs, & Harmony; Craig Mack; and some classic R&B joints I'm failing to remember right now. All this while we enjoyed two very cold beers - Michelob ultra for the babe and a Big Sur Double IPA on tap at 9.6 ABV for me. All this, paired with the wings, which were outstanding BTW, and it made for a great stop. Other things to know. -Order of 12 wings can be split into two flavors (choice of buffalo, bbq, or mild). We went with buffalo and bbq extra crispy. -The buffalo have an added pepper seasoning that we loved -Bathrooms are downstairs (there's also an elevator) -2 of the 3 TV's at the bar were not working (biggest critique) -There is outside seating with view of the rock and a beautiful sunset if you time it right (we did, but it was a bit hazy due to the fog or overcast or whatever you call it) -Also, we didn't try any other food so we can't vouch for much else but everything people had looked good and we didn't hear any complaints. TRY IT OR DIET FINAL WORD Definitely try it. Matter of fact, we're going to take our own advice and try it again later today!

We were greeted immediately by a very friendly waitress, who set us up at a table for eight with a spectacular view of Morro Rock in the back bay. My husband and I had been here for hors d'oeuvres before, so we had scoped out the menu. I knew whatever I had should involve some coconut shrimp. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc while we contemplated the menu. One couple of our party ordered pasta with shrimp or pasta with salmon. My husband got the grilled chipotle salmon, and a couple of us got the captain's plate which had a big assortment of fried coconut shrimp, calamari, and fish on a bed of fries. It's the most spectacular view on the coast and it is perfectly set up as a happy hour hors d'oeuvre bar. There's a long bar, many different sized tables and even an outdoor area with tables on the porch. The food might be kind of standard fair but it's well done and it's very generous portions. The bartenders very skilled at making drinks. The server even suggested a honeybee martini which sounded very tempting, but most of us stuck to wine. The servings are very generous. The food is crisp and succulent seafood. The extravagant chipotle salmon was a little bit spicy, but well cook cooked throughout with delicate rice under it. Several people in this group have a prodigious sweet tooth, so we perused the desert menu after the meal. One couple got the triple berry tart, while my husband and I split the cheesecake. As a former New Yorker, I have high standards for cheesecake and this was a good B+ effort. It could've benefited from some caramel sauce or maybe more fruit on it. It was the perfect place to gather, to share lots of jokes and fun!

The restaurant has tremendously fine views of the bay and has additional parking for non guests. The Fish n chips was very good with the fish in contention for the best I've ever consumed. The fries were prepared with the upmost craft. Regrettable, the Cole slaw was a miss... dry. The shrimp tacos and the beans were also favored but, like the previous dish, the rice was also in need of moisture. The Steak Frites was the highlight of the table and a must order. The deserts were both fantastic but the Apple Cobbler was to die for. If you traveled 100 miles only to order the cobbler... it would be worth your time. Clearly there was a master chef behind the scenes wielding magic. Being the first night at the Inn, the Inn seems to be a hidden gem of Morro Bay. I would recommend venturing to this peaceful refuge.

My boyfriend got their fish and chips, zero complaints. Also incredibly tasty. I ordered the clams and linguine noodles. I have to say... These were one of the most delicious preparations of clams I have EVER had. The most flavorful broth. Garlicky, tomato-y, phenomenal. On a quick day trip on a Friday afternoon, we decided to give this place a try. No reservation and were promptly greeted and seated. Although we did not have a full bay view, we had a partial bay view. Some hits and misses with food and service. 1. Bowl of Clam Chowder (no bread bowls available). Chowder was piping hot and had nice pieces of clams (dad got a bit of clam shell..so be careful), celery and potatoes. The chowder was very creamy and not grainy or watery like other locations. I would definitely order again 5/5 2. Fish & Chips: Fresh Pacific cod, lightly breaded, served with house-made tartar sauce. Fish was fried to perfection. 5/5 3. Seafood Pasta: Linguini with jumbo prawns, fresh catch, Cajun cream sauce, garlic bread. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly 5/5 4. Side of Garlic bread: extremely disappointing. We ordered garlic bread with our chowder, it never came. Waitress decided to serve it with the mains (fish and chips) and we ordered for the entire table and she only brought 2 pieces. 5. Insalata Molina: Mixed greens, arugula, pear, walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, mango vinaigrette. Couldn't tell you if this was any good bc the waitress NEVER brought but charged us for it. She then takes it off the bill and brings me the salad in a Styrofoam container. I told her I didn't want it and put it in my bag. Salad was so soggy (which means the kitchen prepared it and the waitress forgot to serve it) I would not order and do not recommend ordering it bc it was the size of a side salad definitely not worth the price point. 6. Mocktail Lavender lemonade: definitely not balanced, was pretty tart and again the price point was off. It was about 8oz lemonade for $12 They do offer a nice selection of wines. Restrooms are located outside the restaurant and are public restrooms, pretty dirty and out of stock. Although our service was a big miss, I do recommend the food items we ordered. I did take a star off due to the service.
