I usually have great service here and did not want to ding one of my favorite stores with a bad rating due to ONE BAD APPLE. But here is was my experience today. To whom it may concern, I would like to make a formal complaint about an off duty Manager at the 3520 Pacific Ave SE Olympia, Washington, Albertson's. I was checking out today at 3 pm at the self checkout, the line was 3 deep and I was the third in line. I did not mind because self checkout does not take long and I am not an impatient person. All of a sudden, a woman behind me yells, "three's a crowd" to the young guy running self check out. He responds, "I do not have any cashiers at the moment." She yelled back, "well you better find some!" She started naming off the workers like a manager, "what about so and so" or "where is this guy?" She stated, "there is ____, get him on a lane." The young guy that was running the self check out was doing a great job, running around trying to help each guest. This woman was about between 50 and 60, her shift probably just ended around 3pm and was not nice at all. Hopefully by process of elimination you can figure out who it was, as she was not wearing a name badge. I am telling you this because I used to work retail and this was NO WAY to speak to a team member if front of a bunch of guests. It was RUDE and uncalled for. I will continue to come to this Albertsons because on a normal day everyone is friendly, helpful and always has a smile on their face. They know me and we joke back and forth and I always have a good experience except for today. I felt bad for the young guy at the self check out and told him my concern and stated, "I am sorry you have to put up with that and it was uncalled for." I'm writing to share a concern that occurred at your store this evening during self-checkout. My husband, a Black man, was closely monitored by an employee while checking out, despite doing nothing out of the ordinary. A white customer at self-checkout at the same time was not subjected to the same scrutiny. This experience felt like racial profiling and left my husband feeling disrespected. He works hard for his money and should not be made to feel suspected simply for shopping. I'm bringing this to your attention not to accuse, but to ask that this be addressed through awareness and training so no one else has this experience. read more

There is a reason why we go here for all of our weekly produce. The fruit and vegetables are always perfect. In the rare case that something is not up to par, the staff is always super helpful with finding suitable replacements. Team members are always going above and beyond to help at this location, I'm happy to see the same friendly staff every week. Love this store!! read more

Disappointed with the floral department @ Albertson's. Received roses from my husband for Mother's Day, on Friday evening. By Sunday morning they were wilted with dried out leaves. Went to customer service on Monday morning, telling the clerk the roses were bought the previous Friday evening. She corrected me stating they were bought on Thursday. Showed her the receipt showing purchase date. Additionally stated they were a week old by that time. She called the florist. Was expecting to get a refund, I have @ Safeway before. The florist said, "we can't refund, only exchange". Didn't know what to expect with the exchanged roses but hoped for the best. Think the option for refund should have been offered, the same as Safeway. read more

I was in store number 3418 at 4/24/23 7:15pm in Olympia Washington, and an employee named Anita came to what I thought was to assist me in choosing an alcoholic beverage and at frist sight she with the most sour face said "what can u get u"?  I apologized and she said "we're slammed"!  I then said "ok then I'll go somewhere else where I'm welcome". That was the second bad interaction with Anita.   The frist bad interaction was when a month ago when I was in the self checkout and bagged my groceries and the bag ripped from underneath and she made.a.rude comment in front of a full checkout "what did unthink was gonna happen with all that soda"! And laughed! I shrugged it off and said I'll let that slide.  But this time I just couldn't! I had to submit a complaint.  She's nice to everyone else.  I Donno what I did to piss her off? I donnoaybe she don't like men or Asians?  Donno but my family and I are never going to Albertsons/Safeway ever, and other albertsons/Safeway affiliates.  Thank u for reading my story. read more

Chel Is the ONLY professional worker here besides Alicia every other working has gave me issues. Anita is a pain in the ass and assumes your stealing juss if yu have a lil pep in ur step and she stalks people from aisle to aisle. The Manger EagleStory is a big asshole and doesn't know shii about customer service .. The Blonde Manager Guy With Black Glasses Is Also nice and helpful !! Absolutely the best store!!!! Thank you especially to Chel, Dakota, Anita, Todd and the rest of the Pacific Street Staff for always making us feel welcome!! We have been going since I retired from AF in 2009! They've watched my son grow up from 16 months to 16 years! When my nephew died they gave me hugs as they could see I was sad! But also they cheered me on as I went back to college!! And we will continue to go there! They always make sure to let me know what foods are on sale! The store is always clean and welcoming! It's truly a hometown grocery store where I have always felt SAFE!!!! And it is the only grocery store my son with autism feels comfortable going into and talking with the staff! read more

Visiting from las vegas. Stopped at this Albertsons 2 pick up some groceries for a couple of days in town. Great and clean store. Found everything i needed and the service was great. There are only three reasons to shop here: 1. You are quite wealthy and grocery prices are of little interest to you. 2. You are picking up one, or possibly two, items on the way home from work. 3. You have booze on your mind and it's the closest store. (Their beer and liquor selection is actually not bad although beer turnover is slow so freshness can be an issue if you care about such things). I saw thin-sliced pork chops there today, on sale at the front of the store "two for the price of one". Hmm...OK...then I checked the price per pound: $8.99!! Are you kidding me? Those are 4 bucks a pound anywhere else, and sometimes less than three bucks at the big box discount stores! And plain old apples are $2.49 a pound for most varieties. Not organic or anything. What a joke. With prices like these, Albertson's insults my intelligence. I have literally laughed out loud at their prices. Another annoyance: on multiple occasions I have bought an item on sale and then at the register it rang up at a non-sale price (and that was with my club card)! That pisses me off. read more

You went above and beyond to make a cake with with a rose on it and change it into a Star Wars Cake. You took the time to make it special for this little boy...mom got busy with his sister having a seizure and forgot to get him a birthday cake. I saved $47.89 today on my groceries. I was able to use my Safeway app for the amazing deals as well as manufacturer and in store half off discounts. I'm like so EXCITED. Clint was my checker and he was so friendly and helpful. The store is well lit and easy to maneuver around. Lol. To many carts can be a problem sometimes. Not here though. The bathrooms are clean and tidy, they even have hot water to wash your hands. I absolutely hate it when stores have only cold water. My hands are cold enough as it is, and even though I use soap....I don't feel like they're clean enough. Well done Albertsons! The customer service counter doesn't open till 10:00 am. That was a little inconvenient, I had some questions regarding the app and such. I asked a clerk for some help and she paged a supervisor, who was like 10 seconds away. Lol. That was cool. read more

Even though masks are mandatory and I thought businesses are expected to enforce it, customers were walking around and one was two feet behind me in line! I pointed it out to two employees but they said they were waiting on information from their director and didn't say a word to the guy I pointed out that was also not social distancing. I have underlying health issues but the employees didn't care enough to say a word to him so it was left to me. I hardly ever go shopping! I'm reporting Albertsons and hope they get a big fat fine. Thanks for not caring. I spoke to the manager on duty & he said the employees are to call him and he would speak to people with no masks and even offer them one. That's not a very efficient process because the manager would have to be on floor most of the time. I pointed out that neither employee i spoke with called him, he was very polite, respectful, professional & nice btw. It's early in the mandate but Albertsons corporate and regional had plenty of time to work this out beforehand. There shouldn't have been any gray area. Check out Costco in WA and learn read more

I don't know who they think they are, but just because I'm a single female, 2 different MEN have taken it upon themselves to first tell me to move out of they're way to another cashier line, then 2nd came running up behind me not 1 time but twice!!! I feel like this store ripped me off of about $20. August 5, 2017, bought $100 of groceries (I always buy club card savings items) and paid in cash, but when handing the cashier my safeway/albertson club card, he said it was too late, he already rang it up. I was in a hurry and to not be inconvenient to the 5 people behind me, I only said "I'm sure you could apply the card now, but if you don't want to then that's fine". He said "ok" and took my cash, without ever touching the card. read more

This place is completely under rated. From the em employees to the products it's always the best service coming here feels like I am with my own family every time I know everybody they know me they recognize me they recognize my family they treat every single person that walks in the door like it's their own family member and you don't really find that often I highly recommend if you are looking for a store where you don't have to worry when you come in if you're going to get overpriced items or if somebody's not gonna care whether or not you're getting fresh produce or fresh meat or fresh products you are going to love Albertson's this is my favorite place better than any store out here I go out of my way to make sure I go to Albertson's. They have turned bad days into good days sad days in the happy days and frustrating days into endless nights and I appreciate every single moment that we spent in the store and I will continue to keep going back with me and my family every single time keep up the great work! read more

I went in earlier today at around 7:30 and there was a huge lineup for the 1 cashier that was open and when the other cashier showed up which her name is Anita she acted like she was annoyed that she had to come in from the back. My mom was ahead of me and she was not familiar with how to work the app and I couldn't find the product on the app and she treated us like we were complete idiot's completely being condescending to us and especially my mom who is 68 year's old. This woman in my opinion needs to be fired and should not be working with the customer's if she is going to act this way. If I ever go in again and she is working I will leave the store. I have worked in customer service for 6 year's and if I ever talked to a customer the way she talked to us I would be fired on the spot. read more

This is my neighborhood Albertsons, they have changed to Haggen and back to Albertsons. The employees are extremely friendly and super helpful. I was in the store recently and had a hard time choosing a Cajun spice for some chicken, I stopped one of the employees ( whom happened to be a manager ) told him I was looking to blacken some chicken and give it a slight kick and then slice it up and toss it on a ceasar salad for dinner. So I was having a hard time choosing a seasoning that had a kick with some heat but that wasn't too hot so the kids could enjoy it. The gentleman showed me two spices and then escorted me to the meat counter and showed me a spice from a local company. He said he hadn't heard anything about it and offered to let me try some in my hand. I tried a little but was still unsure and now torn between the one he said he tried and liked and this new one as I like to support local companies. He took out a Sharpie and scribbled over the upc code and wrote $1 and his name. He told me on one condition... that I came in and let him know how good it was... I went back the following day and tracked him down just to let him know that the seasoning mixed with the ceasar dressing (that he also recommended) was delicious ! The cashiers are all amazing! Dakota is super friendly and extremely quick without making you feel rushed. It doesn't matter what time of day I go I never have to worry about standing in line forever like other places. They remember your name and your spouses name as well as your kids names ! They as follow up questions on conversations you had in the past... example: the the female cashier asked me how my day was going and I told her better now that my job interview was over. She chuckled and told me that she was sure I would get the job and that any company would be lucky to have me. I told her is was a huge promotion over the current place I was at, and that I had another with a different company and I was nervous about getting both and having to decide... she laughed we chatted a bit more while she finish and I paid and left.... 3 weeks later she asked me the next time she saw me ( I wasn't even in her lane ) and I told her that I wasn't sure which to choose and that I had been offered both. She finished with her customer and as she didn't have another customer she turned around and helped me weigh the pros and cons lol it meant a lot to me and really showed that she cared about her customers and that she valued them. She never talks to you just for the sake of friendly small talk, ahe always speaks to you in a kind hearted genuinely cares about your day and your life kind of way. In fact all of them do, I have never had a poor experience there! Thank you Albertsons for being the friendly neighborhood grocer! read more

Worst grocery store. Went in for their sales on eggs, note says they were out of stock so they replaced the sale for another brand but that replacement brand was no where to be seen. I walked around browsing the all the aisles, I saw more than a few empty shelves. Sale prices are great but I wouldn't return for the lack in their stock & customer service. Cashiers are slow. Not one smile. They were just doing their jobs at a minimum. Maybe I just went in at the wrong time/day? read more

I love this store: it is clean and bright and the service people are always cheerful and helpful! The bakery has the most wonderful cakes!!! Produce is grand, if a bit pricey. There is just one problem, their ad says they are open 6am - 1am but when you call the store it is 24/7 and I have always seen them as 24/7. read more

I bought some Chicken and Hamburger here just yesterday from their meat counter. The hamburger was real brown and was starting to smell bad, I ended up cooking it anyway and you could taste how bad the meat was, also the smell when cooking was pretty bad and I was not able to finish the burger I had made. The chicken I had got from there was full of tendons and just tasted real bland, not sure what they did to it but this is some of the worst chicken I have ever bought anywhere. Don't get fooled like I did with the tiny amount of seasoning they put on the top of their chicken to hide the slimyness of it. I will NEVER buy meat from this store from this store ever again, and please do yourself a favor and go to a different store to buy meat from the butcher counter. read more
