Worst bakery ever! Made my order for a party weeks in advance, I talked it over thoroughly with an employee AND provided a photo! We got there the day of to pick up and they made it completely wrong. Mind you, I picked the most basic of sprinkles that every grocery bakery has. I asked for pastel not primary colors. That was it! The most basic of orders ever and they managed to screw that up. To make matters even worse, they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. Like a mystery sprinkle that they've never seen before. Beautifully spacious and overly crowded store. Good thing they have all that space. En Route to work, my counterpart calls me to say our bakery failed to deliver the hot dog buns I needed to accessorize that night's meal (chili dogs: my homemade chili with huge all beef hot dogs) I was about to cook for the lords and ladies currently occupying the beds at my work. Luckily for me, I needed to get gas and remembered this Albertsons existed across the street from the gas station. I was in and out in less than ten minutes, even though I am completely unfamiliar with this location, as I had never been in before. (Luckily I figured out right away where the bakery and bread aisle was and how to maneuver to the checkouts without stumbling over the masses of children running amuck in the aisles. The rating went down a star because I realized after I got to work forty minutes and forty miles later that I was overcharged for the bottle of kombucha that I had also bought. There were sale stickers all over that area, having worked in retail for a horrific eight years, I take my time reading the fine print on any sale stickers I see to make sure I'm getting the right products it's advertising. I know how frustrating it can be, on both sides of this equasion, as an employee and as a customer. But I was charged about a dollar more than it said, and yes, I did put in my vons club/ justforu app number. Such is life, I'll be sure to check my receipt before I walk away from the checkout lane. read more

I went to the deli to get chicken strips. I had 3 kids with me. There was a line of people waiting to be helped. There was 2 workers. One seemed busy with a large order. The second one was slowly helping the line of people. She helped everyone but me. As she was finishing up with the last one before me a lady walks up and yells out what she wants. The worker looked at me but helped the other lady. Then after she was done she went off to do something else. I called out "excuse me". She looks at me and says she's busy helping with s customer from before. I said "but you stopped to help that lady" she says "oh she was being helped before". That's bullshit because the lady walked up and yelled out her order and then after getting what she wanted walked away. I think it was extremely rude. Also, the chicken strips that I finally got are dry as if they're from a day or two ago. read more

Pretty disappointed with the service I didn't receive this afternoon from Damon (scanning) & Chris (bagging)... I was in a time crunch on lunch like anybody that works a 9-5. I went to the second or third register (I believe) from your floral and plants. There was one gentleman ahead of me in line so I gave him space and was at the end of the conveyor belt. I can hear Chris & Damon talking the whole time to one another as I was looking briefly down into my wallet getting my cash together for my 2 items, when I looked up I realized they were done with the previous customer. I stood there waiting for Damon to acknowledge me and say,"hey I can help you now, or hello ma'am, how are you?" He never started the conveyor belt to bring my items closer to him, he never said hi or acknowledged my presence and neither did Chris. Soo I grabbed my stuff and now placed it directly in front of him, thinking surely by now he'll say hello or something..nope Chris and Damon continued to talk and never once looked at me or said one word to me. He just grabbed my Egg salad sandwich & Protein snack tray scanned the two items.. still talking to Chris.. So at this point I am very upset and irritated at the lack of customer service these two had at this moment.. I walked out without my items today and without my lunch. Wasted time and I am hungry, too much of my emotions you played with today Damon & Chris.. I too have noticed the starbucks girls never smile, are rude, and when I said i did not like the drink i ordered as I tried a Skinny Peppermint Mocha, the response was, Oh yea it is awful and another employee said, well don't order it again,. I even had worked in this Albertsons for a few months and almost all of the starbucks employees were never very nice, they seem miserable. read more

Not a very pleasant visit. Prejudice in 2014 perhaps? Yes. Stopped by today with my persons served (intellectually disabled) and this old lady at the register looked at us as if we were from another planet. When one of the person served payed for his stuff, she reached for his money trying not to touch him as if he had some kind of disease. When she was ringing me up she didn't even look at me because she was too busy looking at person served who was checking out the movies as if he was a thief. When I entered my number for the discount she said "you don't have to do that anymore, you automatically get the discount" in the rudest tone. Two (Caucasian ) persons behind us looking at person served ( African American) said "he is so weird and disgusting. Minds like these make me have doubts in humanity. We shopped in this Albertson's for a long time and I actually love this store but we had a situation where we ordered trays from the deli and they order got lost somehow!!!!! I was very angry and disappointed because I needed them now so the assistant manager and the deli worked hard together to get our trays and delivered them to our event by the time it started and turned a very very very bad situation into a great situation!!!! Had a very interesting day!!! Went to Albertson's in Orcutt today while our place was being inspected. I bought some items and a Starbucks and was sitting in the lounge area where Starbucks is. I admit I was there for quite some time when the manager walks up to me and asks me to leave. I replied I wasn't hurting anything just wasting time. His reply was if you don't leave we will have to notify the police and have you removed. I was just traumatized at the way I was treated see if I ever spend my money there again. Every time I'm in town for business, I like shopping at this Albertson's to help with my food necessities. They have plenty of prepared deli foods and meals that are decent and varied. The store is clean, very spacious, and almost always have parking available. Though the times I've been at the store, the cashiers always seem to be in a bad mood...they never greet me nicely and just go about their business while they scan my things, and never make eye contact. Hellooo.......where have all the box boys and girls gone and where is the management? If you are going to pay these high prices, one would expect better service. Today, my husband had to help take groceries to the car for a lady who had just had hand surgery. She was ahead of us in line and was still waiting even after all OUR groceries were bagged. She had a very heavy load including ice and 2 cases of bottled water. The checkers were calling for help, but to no avail. There was a box girl in the parking lot gathering 2-3 grocery carts, but there were 2 St. Joseph Lettermen outside selling tickets so i guess she was distracted There is always someone sweeping the floor that doesn't need sweeping and there was no one bagging groceries except the checkers. I hear the box people hang out in the back and the good ones get promoted I don't blame the kids. i blame the management. This was Sunday afternoon @ 2:30. Review for the pharmacy since it doesn't have its own page. Never make the mistake of going to this pharmacy if you cannot be without your medication. I am 18 years old but have multiple chronic illnesses that require me to take daily medication to function normally. Most of my medications I get shipped to me but whenever I have used this pharmacy (it's the closest to my house) to try and get emergency prescriptions etc, it usually takes at least 3-5 days for them to fill the prescription, even though they usually lie and say they can get it to me within a day, only to end up having to order it, which means 3-5 days without medication that I need to function. In addition, the staff is very inconsiderate and once while I was picking up a prescription the pharmacist started talking with me very loudly about a very personal condition/symptoms with many people around. Also, on more than one occasion I have called to see if I can pick up medication at a time that they were busy and they have told me that it isn't ready and to come in an hour, only to have my mom go in 5 minutes later and pick it up no problem. I don't know if they just don't take me seriously since I'm only 18 or what but lying about whether or not your customer's medication is ready just because you're busy is never okay. Multiple members of my family have also dealt with lying/rudeness and even though this pharmacy is the closest to us, we'd rather go out of our way if it means we'll get adequate customer service and our prescriptions filled in a timely manner. read more

Employees should be trained to listen to customers comments and not be so rude. I've been shopping at Albertsons for twenty years. Don't know if I will be back. Just happen to be watching the news before going shopping and seeing there is a nation wide recall on romaine lettuce due to E. coli outbreak. The story said not to eat ROMAINE LETTUCE NATION WIDE AND ALL ROMAINE LETTUCE SHOULD BE PULLED FROM ALL SHELVES ACCORDING TO CDC I gave the stock clerk heads up that was stocking the shelves with romaine lettuce about the recall. She told me that was 2 months ago and didn't want to hear anything I had to say and continued to stock the shelve without even checking out if there was a recall. Makes me think that this employee really doesn't care if someone might get sick. Makes me sick. read more

This Albertsons reminds me of a Publix. Clean, well-stocked, well-lit, fresh food, no weird smells, etc. Comparing a grocery store to a Publix is a compliment of the highest order. I try to shop here whenever I feel homesick--which, frankly, is not often. But it's nice to know this Publix-Albertsons (Publisons?) is there when I need it. read more

I am asking myself: is it a crime to use food stamps (EPT). Do people on public assistance have to be treated like dirt, looked down at and feel the humiliation and the shamefulness by the unfriendly staff at this Albertson. At first, I thought that this could have been an isolated incident reflected by a disturbed and bias lady checker who has a preconceived notion of superiority. I had an unsettled mixed-feelings and sense of unease by the way she looked at me when I presented my EPT card to pay for my groceries. She loomed a disgusting look on her face and tipped me the receipt with her fingertips as if she was avoiding catching a plague. I respectfully thanked her for her assistance and she replied with an insulting grim look on her face without saying a ward. As I mentioned, I was under the impression that this was just a mere incident carried out by a person who is clearly have an unfavorable view for recipients of public assistance, I was completely delusional when I had more of similar experiences from more unfriendly staffers at the store during my proceeding visits. I spend a lot of money at this store. Today was the second time I didn't get to use a coupon from the ap they suggest you download to save you money. I scanned my items into the ap and it said save $5. For most that is not a big deal but for me it is. When I asked why I didn't get the 5 bucks off, customer service tells me that I didn't have it checked off in my list. I didn't complain about this the first time it happened. What is the point of having an app to save you money if it does not work properly. As I have said before I spend a lot of money in this store and they just lost a customer. I will be driving a little further from my house to get my groceries from now on. They are way too expensive and the few discounts I have received in the past were why I normally went back. I am done with the prices because obviously I have not been getting the discounts I should have been. What is the point of waisting my time scanning things in if it doesn't work. Moved to Orcutt 2 years ago and Albertsons is the closest. Very few lanes open at any time. My main concern is that when picking vegetables the water sprinklers come on way too often and continue to ruin my clothing with freezing water. Also, when I get home I have to take all the vegetables out of the plastic bags and dry them off or else mold begins to grow. read more

They said that yes they did but that they would have to cook them and it would take about 8 minutes. What a difference between this store and the Santa Maria store. I was very dissatisfied with the check out line here!! It was 10 am with 10 people in line and ONE cashier!!! What is up with that!!! A store that large should have at least 3 checkout lines open. The entire management staff is horrible. They treat their employees very badly except for their clear favorites (I shop there every week out of necessity, not choice - so it's easy to learn who are the favored employees and who are the grunts) They think nothing of embarrassing the employees by yelling or berating them in front of customers and each other. You can tell that the majority of employees are walking around, afraid of losing their job at any moment. If an employee does something by the book and a customer complains, the employee gets yelled at or written up in front of other customers - even if what they did was by Albertsons rules. Looks like they can't win. Finally found another market I can frequent, so won't be going back to that place again. Still feel really sorry for the ones who work so hard, while the favored few are allowed to get away with chatting and not working. read more

We like the convenience of a local neighborhood market. All of the other chains and locals have moved out of area. Service could be better and prices are a little high. Meat counter is very good. The registers need more attention when crowded. Where is 3s a crowd. The pharmacy appears to be closed on Sundays. read more

Worst albertsons ever, I hate leaving bad reviews but I have been coming here for years and each time I am disappointed. Customer service is terrible, they sold me a faulty gift card so when I called corporate they told me I needed to return the card to the store I bought it from, the woman at customer service was rude and refused to take back the gift card, costing me $25 (I had the receipt as well) Lines are always slow and no one working at the store knows where anything is! the checkers here in orcutt believe they are doing the customer a favor by checking the groceries and taking your money!! they are very discourteous and argumentative! the bakery has no plastic bags for the rolls and the checkers insist on opening the bags and looking inside that damn bags. why they took the clear plastic bags and supplied dark paper bags is beyond me. read more

i love the store, but this review is for their deli. I just got home, having purchased a sandwich for lunch. I frequently buy sandwiches here, as they are better (and cheaper) than at Subway. I got my usual roast beef and cheese. I got home, opened the sandwich to put the tomatoes on better, and found that i didn't even have enough meat on the sandwich to cover the bread, never mind that it was only 3 pieces of meat thick. Usually, there is 2-3x the amount of meat on their sandwiches as what i got today. But they gave me 4x the cheese they usually give---i tossed out 3/4 of that cuz i didn't order a cheese sandwich---i ordered a meat sandwich. The real insult-to-injury is that they upped the price of their sandwiches from $4.59 to $5.99, in one fell swoop!!! this sub-par sandwich is a rip-off at that price---would have been a rip-off at $4.59, too. I'd have taken it back if it wasn't such a hassle. i'm going back to Subway---i'd rather wait in a line and have a decent sandwich than get thru the line fast and have nothing but bread and too much cheese. read more

Not only are their prices higher than any other grocer in town, the staff are rude and inconvenienced when asked for assistance. I used to frequent this store every Sunday to get hot food from the deli to distribute to local homeless. Today out of necessity I had to go in this store to get a few items from the deli so I could take the hot food to people in need. I had been boycotting this store for over a year and was reminded once again why I do not shop here. I went straight to the deli and was given a strange look from the employee Alex after I asked him for potato wedges and chicken strips he huffed and awkwardly bagged them. He then set them on the counter, didn't even seal the bag or attempt to keep them warm. I asked if I could get a sticker or piece of tape like they used to do to keep the items warm. He turned around got mad and stormed off behind a wall and then yelled we don't have tape, came back said he only had boxed tape. I asked if I could just get an extra sticker to use. He then said well I have to reprice them and print a sticker then grabbed the bags and didn't even try to put the sticker on it to seal it and then angrily told me see this is why I don't do this they don't stick. I grabbed the bags and sealed it myself. Told him sorry for inconveniencing him to so his job. As I walked away he mumbled something under his breath. I went to customer service to try to speak to a manager, there wasn't one present. This wasn't my first bad experience with ALEX, my husband, my sister, and a few friends have also had horrible interactions with ALEX, not sure what his deal is, but I will continue to avoid this store. read more

The store is fine after all it's a grocery store, I do like the fact they have a aisle with international foods. I really wanted to say something about the Starbucks. Almost every Starbucks I have been to people are nice and chat with you if they are not to busy. This one forget it, I have been there like so many times because it's the only one in Orcutt. They don't make my drinks the way I like them and I have asked them every time, they never smile unless they are chatting with someone they know. Never apologize when they get the size wrong or the drink and they have to make a other they seem pissed. I am not a complicated person but I am ordering for others at the office so a venti is not a tall. I apologize even if it's not my fault. I waited to review them hoping it would get better, thinking maybe they are new or having a bad day but it's like that every time and I'm just disappointed. Our office spends a lot of money and I don't think I should be treated like I am annoying someone because I'm ordering and getting some pastries. I feel like I am imposing when I ask for a cake pop. I'm sorry that I am not a hot cute guy that orders a free water but a woman with a large order that when they are flirting with some guy I have to interupt to get a beverage carrier, I mean you can see I am by myself and with 5 drinks.
