OMG. I usually don't write reviews on grocery stores, but this one is so fabulous. I hate grocery shopping in San Diego. Our neighborhood VONS is packed, parking is tight and sometimes have to drive around the lot to get a space, narrow aisles, and it is stressful. And there is nowhere else to shop. So, perhaps, I am awed at ANY grocery that is better than were we shop. SO......when we went here, I was astounded. It is HUGE. Plenty of parking. CLEAN. Friendly staff at the deli counter. Deli had fresh food (the Ralph's also on the 111 had some crusty old food). So much selection. Lots of wide aisles. I love this place. Wish I could shop here all the time. We actually ATE in the store! (We were on the move, and on our way out of town) It was hilarious....there are tables and chairs, easy chairs, a coffee machine, water fountain and even a candle display on the table. I've only been to this Albertsons when I've stayed across the street for Coachella. I like that they have a back check-out section (not sure if this is just for Coachella weekends or year-round), but it's nice for when you want to use the side exit to get to the shuttle stop. They had everything we either forgot or ran out of: drinks, razors, sun block, gum, coolers, etc. The people here were friendly. While using the self-checkout, my $5 dollar bill got stuck in the machine. It kept trying to process my money, but instead ripped it in half. The lady opened up the machine and after she finally took the money out, used a different $5 bill. I apologized of course for the inconvenience, but they were nice and not too bothered about it. read more

Albertson's seems to overall have high standards throughout their stores ~ the one in Desert Palms is no different. The store is very bright, clean and staffed with very friendly people. The fresh fruit selection was especially wonderful, as was the deli selections. The prices when very reasonable. It was a sweet blessing to find such a nice store. Blessings :) KC read more

I just returned from the Albertsons on 111 and Deep Canyon in Palm Desert. I observed 2 employees with their masks well below their nose and then pulled them all the way down to speak to each other. There was also a liquor vendor with his mask pulled way down so his upper lip was showing. I politely asked them to please pull their masks up which they did reluctantly. This was in no way a "slipped mask" situation as they pulled them up when I asked and pulled them down as I passed. This is not acceptable. read more

Great Albertsons for sure. Although people are going crazy to buy up everything off the shelves, this store tries their best to keep it stocked. The staff is always super kind and helpful. 3's a crowd? Never, they always pull staff from the back or where ever they can yo keep the lines moving. This is my neighborhood market. I like it but there are occasional glitches. Today there is only one working motorized shopping cart. So I'm waiting for a customer to finish with it before I can start shopping. If you have mobility issues as I do you may want to call first to find out how many working motor carts are on premise. The store is definately dated like the typical 80's grocery store. The prices are pretty good if you look for the deals and specials. The customer service is horrible. Most of the employees have probably worked there forever and really don't give a crap about the business nor its customers. My check out clerk made sure I knew he has been there for 32 years and "doesn't play well with others". Dude, seriously??!! Retire already then. I'm sure there is a nice young person eager to replace you. What a WEIRD unsolicited comment to a customer. It may be worth paying a little more for food elsewhere, so you can atleast enjoy shopping and having a normal check out experience. read more

I agree with all the other reviews - this is a great grocery store. The deli offers many fresh, delicious choices everyday, the bakery is good but the meat, so so. The manager Pete is outstanding. He really cares about the store and the customers. Yes, some of the younger staff members there are rude and cranky. Hope Pete sends them to customer service school. read more

Visiting from out of town and staying at the Marriott Villas. We went to Albertsons to buy groceries for the week. A clean, well stocked store except for the ice. Store was out of 7 lb. bag so we had to buy the next size. When checking out, we were required to buy our bags. We realize NOW that is a CA state law but notice ahead of time perhaps on the door as you walk in would be helpful. We also could not get the customer loyalty discount at check out. We attempted to download the app in order to do this but were then told it needed 24 hrs to be effective. Disappointing visit for our first time. read more

Nice big Albertsons! Very conveniently located across the road from our hotel. This Albertsons is also a shuttle stop for Coachella during festival season so that's great. I like how everything is organized in here, everything is easy to find and everyone is really friendly here. We always come back for our shopping needs during festival season. read more

Go see Irma in the bakery for any cake,cupcake orders. I went yesterday afternoon to order cupcakes for a gender revile and she was more then helpful in making sure the Order was just what we wanted, and had them ready for early pick this morning :) she is friendly & informative. I will make sure to see her next one I have any bakery needs!!! read more

Its a good store. People are nice and they have TWO red boxes so no waiting too long for a movie :) packaged sushi is good and flowers are nice and fresh. Over all I like this place. Prices are good. read more

This is, in my opinion, one of the nicer Albertsons around. While the others are OK, when I walk in here I could almost swear I was in Bristol Farms. This store is much bigger than their old location on San Pablo (which is now occupied by Office Max) and has pretty much all the goodies you could possibly want at pretty good prices. If it wasn't so much farther away from my home than Pavilions is, I probably would do most of my food shopping here. read more

Bakery. Went a week before my sons birthday to speak with bakery for customise ghostbuster cake, specifically ask for fondant and not print out. They said they could do it, on the day of birthday, was give a printed picture of ghostbuster on top of a cake. said they dont have fondant, advised to return the cake at customer service... you have a weeks notice... good job! read more

I went in there purchased some beer and among other items walked to the registered, Tall guy crazy looking Taliban beard and greeted us and some how he jumped into a conversation about how women always complain till you put them in a Trunk of a car ? Me and my buddy have a bunch of tattoos so maybe he was trying to act cool who the hell knows. We walk over to the Pharmacy for something I forgot, I purchase some goggles for the kids since I saw them nearby. Few minutes later the manager and the guy that wrung me up some other young kid come outside I was walking towards them taking the shopping cart out, I say man you guys looking for someone jokingly Martha Martinez the manager says no I'm like cool hand her my cart go about my business 1 minute later the cashier is taking pictures of my cars Lic Plate????? I'm hey what up is everything okay he's it is now ?? Weird So I go back in the store to talk to the manager ms. Martinez walks up, I'm like hey what going on she denies everything had a hard time understanding her she ask do you have a receipt she looks at it and says everything is cool and says it won't happen again. I'm like so you do know what happened then she act clueless again. I said whatever and left. read more

Great grocery store! Friendly cashiers and overall helpful staff. Prices are somewhat high but good deals if you buy stuff on sale.

I go to the Albertsons on Country Club it is the best do not know why it is not listed but it BAR NONE the BEST Store in town Prices and food quality is superb. Antonio the manager is the best goes above and beyond for the customer. Stay clear of Sonja in the Deli not so nice but ask for the manager Antonio and he will get it handled if you have a problem. I was in dire straits on a sunday and they cashed my payroll checks. The lady that waited on me was polite and courteous. I used to shop at Albertson's all the time when I lived in Wyoming. I will continue to shop at Albertsons. They gained a loyal customer today. The heck with Wal-Mart! read more

The folks picked up food from here. It was pre-made sandwiches, and, well, the sandwiches were just ok. Fortunately this store happens to have one of my favorite ginger beers, Reeds ginger beer. Albertsons, most of the ones in Norcal have closed. One of the Albertsons close to me was turned into a Sports Basement. I forgot what/if there was a jingle for Albertson's. read more
