This is my second time getting a flower arrangement creation from Miguel at Jensen's. His arrangements are unique and beautiful. He is creative and flexible and the customer service is top notch. You wouldn't think it but some of the best flower arrangements in the desert can be purchased at Jensen's.

Stumbled across this great little market while I was looking for Gelsons. Jensen's has the best scones and also found some other great baked goods that were really delicious. Really nice specialty store with friendly staff.

It's definitely one of my favorite grocery stores. They carry a lot of items, not carried by other stores. For example, they carry some items from Sees Candies. And they carry certain frozen desserts and ice creams not found elsewhere. I especially like their bakery and their deli. I am in there several times a week just to buy the seafood salad from the deli. It is truly delightful. And their blue cheese potato salad is awesome. The bakery has wonderful rum cake. Lots of cookies and breakfast rolls, too. Occasionally, they do a barbecue out front. It's such a great store.

Nicer grocery store in the Palm Desert area. It IS expensive, as others have noted. It happened to be the closest store to the rental home where we stayed the week of Thanksgiving. I think my poor husband almost had a stroke over some of the prices. The first morning we were at the rental, Dear Hubby and I went shopping early to get a lot of the basics needed to make breakfasts and have other staples for the days we were in the area. With 9 people to feed, it wasn't a small shopping venture. At 7:00 in the morning, we pretty much had the store to ourselves. The upbeat music had me about ready to break into a swing dance as I made my way around the unfamiliar layout. A couple times I needed to ask for directions to various items, and encountered very friendly staff members to help with that. If I lived in the area, I'd probably be searching for more reasonable options, but it was nice to be in clean, well-stocked surroundings.

Unlike Arbys, Jensens has the meats. I love this store and if they don't have it they can get it for you the next day.

But Haines Packing Fish Market has been on my radar ever since they docked ship. Was everything we expected and more. The customer service too. Cute store with some other grocery items... Wifey mentioned it's the first time here...so one of the owners included a nice package of Wild King Salmon for FREE to go along with packages of Sand Dads and Sablefish. The Sand Dabs and Sablefish was Fantastico. Prices are very reasonable -- especially for the quality. Looking forward to the Salmon and Halibut...and return visits when back in the area. Also want to try their Crab Cakes, Lobster and Sable Fish...and some catches of the day. It'd also like to express: Not all flash-frozen pre packaged fish is the same. But Haines has perfected their game. I eat fish more than any other source of protein. Sometimes I prefer the flash-frozen variety because it packs in the fish oil & flavor...and has a much longer shelf-life in the freezer. As this will be my final Yelp review for 2025...I highly recommend Haines. {{{Big-High-Five}}} Happy New Year

This location is part of a strip mall with plenty of parking out in the lot. There's a pretty massive patio and outside bar area with seating which wasn't utilize as it was majorly hot outside. They did have mister to believe. We of course sat inside. When we walked in, there was no one dining as the only other patron had just finished and walked out. That in-between lunch time. It was one of those things, do we stay or do we leave.... The waitress that was working that afternoon, Michelle was the sweetest. So welcoming and friendly which is alway a good sign. As it was our first time here, she gave us a thoughtful breakdown of everything. Good customer service if I do say so. Menu, if you want seafood, this is your place. They had specials that go on all day with a good list of about 8 or so items to choose from. Lunch specials were also offered and then you have the main menu. Alcohol was also on the list. There's also a big menu along the board if you were waiting in line to order. Everything is done at the counter and food will be brought out to you when ready. They also have a soda station for your helping and the condiments are set aside there too. Menu did have a good selections of items. But limited on their pastas, which probably a given as it's a seafood place. They only had linguine and clams. We went with an order of the 3 fish and chips from the all day menu. That came with thick cut seasoned fries which were delicious and Cole slaws. The all day specials come with two sides I believe. Also an order of the ceviche which was from the starter menu. Fish was quite tasty and lightly battered which was great. Tasty and flakey which the battered was great. Not overly covered where it basically defeated the purpose but this place was nice. Also tater sauce was also accompanied. The ceviche was decent and came with tortilla chips. Nice decent size cup with avocado chunks on top but it wasn't that juicy. Wasn't that much juice, maybe it was just scooped and drained when served. It was decent. Also an extra side of the fries which were great. Thick cut and seasoned. The service was great and our waitress Michelle working that afternoon was a major doll. The sweetest and friendliest and so welcoming. The restaurant is full service minus the ordering. You order at the counter but your food will be brought to your table. It did pick up during our meal but we also noticed that it was a major go to for takeout. Everything was fresh and didn't take long to come out. There's also the downtown location that we need to try out next.

I can see/sense the look on the owner ( lady) like what are these locals from Hawaii doing here, visiting and checking the store, of course. The reason for visiting was to support local and grab Filipino foods for our late lunch. I can say that the shop is very nice and organized, no plans for grabbing grocery items, noticed the prices are on the higher side, price you pay for Palm Springs. One thing that looked very interesting to me and am afraid to try is the packaged Balut. Nice to see they have Kent Mangoes on the counter for $2.99. We stopped in about 3 pm and the hot food choices didn't look good as the Yelp photos, I was thinking to get a plate to give it a try but the staff said that they sell everything ala carte, hmmm.... I am use to getting plates by 1-2 or 3 items. If we were to go with the food selection at Fil Am, I wouldn't know how many orders to get and how much our total would come out to, see that it can get pricey! I think we all passed and left to go to another biz for our Filipino foods. I would get the Filipino desserts but we all wanted to get out of the store quick since it felt like we weren't welcome in there.
