My elderly mother had placed an order for Albertson's pick up. When I got there, her app was frozen and she could not let the people know that we were there. I called the number on the sign three times and was given a voicemail that says it has not been connected. So the people in the delivery were not answering their phone. I then went into the store and found customer service and waited several minutes for someone to finally come into customer service. They had me grab a car and go get my own groceries from the pick up service and put them in myself. I would say this is poor management. read more

Overcharged on approximately 30% of grocery items when compared to the advertised grocery discount pricing. I've seen this occur on multiple visits to this local store. The most egregious occurrence was today when the customer checking out before me pointed out the pricing error on about every 3rd item in her cart, including a meat item that had the advertised discount price sticker right on the front of the package. That meat item rang up at almost $1/lb more than the sale sticker on the package. Of the 3 items I had to buy, a jar of Spaghetti sauce that was marked on the shelf as a discount from $12.99 down to $8.99 was subsequently charged at $10.99. This overcharging seems to be quite consistent and needs to be corrected. I have notified these facts to Arizona AG's office in the form of an online complaint. read more

I am so grateful for this place. We love the quality of the groceries and the cleanliness. My fiance and I moved out here about 2 years ago and this has become our go to store. Our favorite part is the managers that work here. My fiance and I are both younger- in our 20s and we even noticed how great the managers are that work here. They are younger guys as well and they truly go above and beyond. They are so helpful to their employees and always are so welcoming and accommodating to their customers. It was my Girlfriend's Daughter's birthday and we were trying to find a birthday cake. We ended up checking at this Albertson and so glad we did! We found the perfect cake and the woman working in that area was awesome, friendly, and helpful. She quickly assisted us and personalized it for us. Love the online drive-up service. Very helpful and friendly employees. I always get great service. Some customers can say otherwise but that's because they're dishonest and very rude to them. I have seen it 1st hand when I went to pick up my order. Heard a rude customer going off on one of the guys who took out their order. I have been patronizing this store for 23 years. I drive by Fry's to go to Albertsons. It's time to start driving by Albertsons and go to Sprouts. With the digital coupons that don't show up at the checkout, self or otherwise, it has just become so burdensome to shop here. Nothing seems to work. This Albertson's is the BEST ran grocery store of all grocery stores! Fry's is by far the worst! This Albertson's is remodeled, is bright and light and has WIDE isles!! Albertson's cares about your safety and your experience!! They have a person at the door to make sure everyone is wearing a mask. They sanitize each cart prior to your use. They have large signage on the floor indicating one way per isle (not that the shoppers adhere to the directionals...but that is not the fault of Albertson's (they tried)). The meat department is the best! If you want or need something, they will make it happen!! They typically don't run out of sale items like the other stores, even in the meat department. The manager, Daniel, is an asset to this location!! If you have a problem, ask for Daniel! You will NOT be left standing in an endless line!! They will immediately call extra help and the help arrives swiftly! The cashiers keep an eye on the line and call for backup even if only a couple people are in line! I shop for specials at the stores and Albertson's has outshined most of its competitors and their sale prices. At least that's been my experience. I highly suggest staying away from this store. Ordered delivery yesterday and paid extra for it to be delivered at 10 am today. It's 8 pm now and they canceled my order AND deleted my account!! All my chats are discussing the issue are just gone now. They did not notify me it was cancelled. And on top of that they still charged me and refuse to give me the food I paid for or a gift card or anything to go get it myself. I talked to the store manager Travis Curtis and he basically told me I'm shit out if luck. Absolutely unacceptable. Never make an online order for meat to be delivered from here. I have a mobility problem that prevents me from going out from time to time, and I rely on services like this. 1/4 times do I ever get cut I need. You'll have better luck getting any meat if you buy different cuts from different animals, but I got mammal meat allergy. Today, I can walk. The selection is always fresh though I always feel I am overpaying a little bit. Really missing the salad bar by the pound but having the soup bar is still a plus. I have been a loyal Albertsons shopper since 1991. Over the past year I've noticed a huge decline in the service provided at the Deer Valley and 83rd Ave location in Peoria AZ. Not all areas... mostly the deli. The deli crew is never appropriately staffed leaving these mostly young adults to prepare all the special order trays, cooking the hot foods, and serving customer's deli orders. I've never seen a store manager giving them any sort of help. Some of the deli staff can be a bit cranky, and I can't blame them. The last time I was in the store on the morning Saturday 8/19. There were just two deli workers as is typically the case on busy Saturdays. They were clearly frantically working on party trays/sandwiches etc. Right in front of me a store manager (not sure if the name but probably in his 50's with facial hair) went back there to bust the chops of one of the workers. It wasn't loud but the body language was obvious. He didn't pull up his sleeves to help at all. I felt so bad for the worker that was clearly working her tail off. I often have to wait quite some time before these poor kids can get to taking my order. I've made comments to managers and it's always the same answer, they can't get the help they need. Weirdly, when I go to Fry's or Sprouts they have numerous deli workers prepping and serving customers. I've been patient for quite some time but I will be taking my business to Fry's and Sprouts where they clearly pay more and provide their deli staff with better coverage. For the record...the vast majority of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Perhaps if they make some improvements I will reconsider going back. read more

The people at this Alberson's are SO helpful and there is never a line. Both things that are quite a change from the Fry's across the street which is always packed to the gills with customers less than chipper employees. It seems like there is always someone there and ready to help when you need it. My ONLY complaint is that they do not stock shallots all the time and some other obscure ingredients can't be found there. Check it out instead of Fry's once. What the heck is wrong at this location? All the employees seem in a bad mood every time I go there. Got to be a manager problem. Meat counter personnel doesn't want to be bothered and refereed me to the prepackaged steaks. Couldn't find what I wanted so back to the meat case. Got the two steaks I had picked out earlier. Also asked for a dozen jumbo shrimp. Opened the package at home and there were only 7 shrimp. Had to have been on purpose. I was polite when ordering and was friendly. I absolutely gave them no reason to do this other than they did not want to be bothered. Guess what, I'll be back and you can be sure I will bother you. I'm retired. I LOVE this Albertsons. Yes, it is more pricey than Frys across the street, but the customer service is unbeatable! You know there is something great going on there when the managers and many employees have been there for years (great retention). The manager is always busy stocking, dusting, organizing yet greats everyone with a smile. Free cookies for the kids, and stickers at checkout. I am a fan as it is not crowded, lines are fast, and they do not clutter the isles with displays or make them too small. I also enjoy the bakery or floral department, they have SAVED me multiple times in a bind. They made my mom's wedding bouquets and they were gorgeous and a fifth the cost of the floral stores. :) read more

The Albertson's at Deer Valley and 83rd Avenue is a mixed bag. It's great for things like cereal, canned goods, dairy and general processed foods. But their vegetable and meat selections are, admittedly, not good. Often when I go to the fruit and vegetable area, it's common to see greens black with rot (items like cilantro, parsley, etc.). I've purchased limes and lemons there that produce absolutely no juice, indicating they are not fresh. Things like apples, bananas, carrots and potatoes are generally fine. As for the meats, it is also very common to see many of the cuts are already turning brown or even displaying green spots. However, their employees are very friendly, helpful and generally fast to checkout and bag. read more

Well of course can't find receipt but returned right away (about 30 min after purchase). Received the most attitude I have ever encountered by Patty the customer service lady this evening.
