Great new grocery store in our small community. Staff were friendly and the store was very clean. I love the variety of available foods, bakery, meats, alcohol, sushi and Starbucks. So as I was shopping at my local frys I walked into the candy aisle and I noticed this stand completely covering the Mexican candy aisle. Not just in front of it either COMPLETELY pushed up and covering the aisle so that you couldn't even reach the products nor view them, just completely hidden. I don't know if this is done on purpose due to prejudice or just complete incompetence. Either way it is not okay. Mind you, this photo was taken after I pushed the stand out of the way, the stand was very heavy so I couldn't push it that much. They could have at least put the stand a bit farther away as I have in the photo, but instead they decided to push it up completely to the aisle, and for what??? Not okay, seriously think twice about where you're shopping and what you're supporting. read more

I have been shopping at this Fry's store (91st avenue and Olive) for over 20 years. The service has always been friendly. But recently the floral department hit it out of the park. I was desperately searching for a florist for my daughter's wedding. No one was returning my calls. Then I had an idea- order flowers from Fry's and make the bouquets myself. So I spoke with Amber! She not only ordered the flowers we needed, but she crafted the exact bouquets my daughter wanted for herself and her bridesmaids! And Bella did an awesome job too! read more

Was just there in about 20 minutes ago. went to customer serive, waited in line for at lest 15 minutes. Wanted to get he digestal price for the yams (.58 lb) The woman in Customer did not want to help my mom and I at ALL. My mom asked to see a manager. The nicest young lady my the name MONICA came over she asked if we were ready to check out, we told her yes and took us to register and open it just to help us, Another young lady came by the name CAROL to bag up all our stuff. This Frys is close by and is always clean with friendly employees. The parking spaces are super cramped in the parking lot is the only downside. Their produce and meats are always fresh with great prices and I always find what I need in stock. read more

Went here on 1/15/21 and couldn't wait to leave. The place felt dingy and people at self checkout weren't enforcing social distancing. Although it was around dinner time, there weren't many ready to eat options. My husband grabbed some beef jerky and a gallon of water but we ended going elsewhere to shop for some food for our hotel room. read more

This location is set up for failure by Kroger. They are always out of many items. Meat is always about to expire. The store is in DESPERATE need of a remodel. It's seriously so sad to compare when you go to a fry's in a more privileged area how much better it is. Kroger doesn't put money or effort into any of their stores in "ghetto" areas. You Close 11pm or 10:55pm?Either way she just closed the door and turned her back on 3 families trying to do a last minute run to the store. The Frys food store on 91st Ave and Olive has been my favorite store for the past 15 years I have referred it to family and friends because of the clean well-stocked and friendly atmosphere. Over the last year it has gone down hill understaffed unstocked shelves and employees are just waiting to go home it's poor management is a shame. This location is fine. They have the basics. Meat, yogurt and ice cream selection is on the smaller side. With the exception of the whole bagged carrots, their produce has been surprisingly fresh. Not a particularly friendly store in the afternoons. Only interactions with employees have been at checkout, and that is only if not using self checkout. I have seen people waiting at the meat counter, and then them walking away because nobody came out to help. The one time I went in the morning about 6 employees greeted me. read more

I had to do some shopping today, a few days prior to Christmas. The store was nuts, with lots of people in the aisles and running around looking for things. But, the one thing I noticed was, the employees were all smiling and nice. No one seemed frustrated or angry...not yet, anyway...LOL! From the young man in the parking lot picking up carts to the gentleman who so kindly helped me look for toothpicks to the lovely lady in the meat area helping me find balsamic to the woman at the cashier and the young man bagging my groceries...everyone had a smile and was friendly. I frequent this Fry's and am happy to say that everyone was truly in the holiday spirit. And, even the customers...as we were joking with each other while trying to find items or passing in the aisles. Considering it's the Friday before Christmas, it was a pleasant experience all around. I had the worst experience ever with the front end manager Kyle! He is very unprofessional and rude. He doesn't know his manager position and give out false information. Even his face piercing is unprofessional. I use to love this fry's but for some reason theu can't keep a manager or employees. Major delays in all check out lanes. The checker was talking to the gal sacking my groceries about inappropriate topics. The sacker said the F word 3 tmes just in the short time i was there. The grapes did not ring up as advertised. Will continue to avoid this store. read more

I shop at Fry's for almost all of my groceries. The store has what I need for the most part and all of the employees are nice. One thing has always bothered me though. The lottery ticket setup... I've asked that the screen that shows your winnings (or lack thereof) be turned toward the customer, but it is almost always turned away from where you stand. Also, the sound is turned down. I want to trust everybody, but when I can't see OR hear if my ticket is a winner and they just smile and say 'nothing today' and drop the ticket somewhere down below (a trash can I'm sure), I can't help but wonder sometimes. Today I went through customer service to have my ticket checked, there was just one person in front of me and no one behind me. The screen had been facing the customers last time I was there because I requested it, but today it was facing away again. So I gave her my ticket and she put it through the computer and walked backed to me and asked 'Anything else?' I smiled and said 'so it didn't win?' She just shook her head so I bought a couple more and as I walked by the screen and said "Do you mind if I turn this?' while turning it toward where customers would be. That's when I saw that the screen read $4.00 WINNER. She had just run my ticket through, so shouldn't it have read NOT A WINNER??? I was too shocked to say anything but I guess I will always wonder about that, and why they always have that screen turned away from the customers. read more

This Fry's never disappoints. They always have everything I need, the workers are very helpful, and it's always clean. I would like to give special recognition to Robert; he is always very friendly and knows where every item is! I always choose Frys over other stores because I don't have to wait 20 to 30 minutes to check out. Frys stores always have wide isles which makes it easier to get around. Their stores are always clean and pretty organized, besides the season area, that place is always in disarray (:D). They always have great fresh French bread from the bakery that tastes amazing! The employees here have been really good. What's great about Frys is that they always have a good number of people on staff when things get busy. There is a very large parking lot so you never run into an issue with not getting a parking space. Just be careful because it can get quite busy and many people walking around. Frys always has competitive prices for many products with good service. read more

They have a new manager name Kyle. Today I purchased some wine FROM KYLE and within seconds of going to my car, I decided I can purchase wine cheaper at another location. I went in to the store to ask can I return the wine WITH RECEIPT and I was told by Kyle that Fry's have a NO RETURN LIQUOR IN THE CITY OF PEORIA once left the store, I have returned liquor at this location several times in the span of 8 years of this location being my home grocery store. I asked Kyle where and when did the policy become affect. He stated is posted everywhere even on the wall at eh customer service desk. I then asked him to walk with me to view the documents, while Kyle searched high and low for the document that he stated was on the wall that WASNT, I then went to state if in fact if that was the policy for the document(policy) letter not being posted could he return the wine that I just purchased within 5 mins and then he should print it and make customers aware to avoid future issues. He blankly told me no, I then asked him to go on Kroger website to show me the policy, he was very lost and couldn't. he then proceeded to show me a sentence on WHOMEVER website that he claimed to be Kroger. I asked him do he mind printing out this SENTENCE/policy out so I could proceed with contacting customer service regarding this policy and also SUGGESTED IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO POST IT. He again told me no RUDELY, I then asked him can I screenshot it for my records he again RUDELY told me no, well after in informed MR KYLE of how he should properly handle this as management he got smart and stopped talking. I then stated to him to s lie because the whole conversation has been recorded. Again, im very calm but im stating facts and catching him stuttering with no proper appropriate response on how he's has not yet shown me the NO RETURN LIQUOR POLICY IN AZ, as im walking out he then tells this Nice cop he wants me banned for trespassing. for what? because KYLE didn't know what he was talking about and if so there was no proof. During COVID we are using the online pick up service and it has been helpful. However, I've had issues the past few orders with missing items not included on the receipt and rotten fruit/vegetables. Please train your staff and have quality control for this service. This is unacceptable for patrons and creates health concerns. read more

This location always seems to be busy. The staff tries to keep up but they don't always do so. Other than that it's a typical grocery store. However, Robert in the produce section is awesome! He has introduced me to new apples that have totally changed my apple game! Now the traditional Gala or Fuji just won't do. I just left this Fry's which is close to my house but my new goal in life is to never shop at this location again. Convenience in location is not worth the agony and stress I experienced at this store. I realize supply issues abound everywhere right now but empty shelves are just the beginning. They are short-staffed and seem to like that way. The lines are long and workers are not particularly friendly or helpful. They advertise that they are hiring but clearly they are not. I have a friend who applied here and is over-qualified for a minimum wage produce clerk position but was passed by. I'm assuming they don't really want to hire anyone. That's giving them the benefit of the doubt. But perhaps it's because my friend is 54 years old? Or maybe it's because he's black? Either way it doesn't pass the smell test. This store needs new management and they need it immediately. Seriously, get it together and stop complaining that no one wants to work. And you advertise diversity but I don't see it represented in your store. read more

DO NOT USE THE PICKUP AT THIS LOCATION. Worst service ever. They do not tell when you order is ready or if items are out of stock. I had to wait 15 minutes once I called. There were 9 out of 40 item unavailable. I was not told about the unavailable items UNTIL the order was brought out. Total laziness on the workers part. When I asked why I wad not told before hand about the order being ready or the items unavailable. The excuse was the system is down. IT HAS BEEN DOWN FOR 6 MONTHS. Fix it stupid. I am going to try a different store and if that does not work, there's always Wal Mart. read more

Kudos to the pharmacy at this store. I had gone to another Frys to fill a prescription. They said come back in 3 days. I couldn't wait that long, so I went to this pharmacy. The pharmacist transferred my prescription over to his store, filled it, and took my payment, all within three minutes of showing up to the pharmacy window. No joke! Three minutes! Great service. If somebody had told me this was possible, I would not have believed it. Simply amazing. read more

I got the best customer service here. I only stop by this location to pick up little things I need since I don't cook. I was recently in there and someone put my grocery on the belt, offered to take my items to my car. WOW! I like this location because it is convenient, and it's clean and friendly. I just learn there's a new manager there name Buck. Young and friendly, probably why I got really good service. I am hoping to get the same service upon my returns. read more

They close the doors to the store to suit their convenience, even if one shows up 10 minutes before the store closes. Myself and others were not allowed in the store and on or about 8 minutes before store closing and were denied entrance. In addition I purchased a pork loin on sale in which was guaranteed cut and wrapped for free. I purchased the pork loin after the butcher was closed. Called the next day to have my pork loin cut, they refused. Poor customer service across the board. read more

I really want to thank the young lady in the floral department. I wanted a bridal bouquet and boutonniere for a same day need. Crazy I know, but she did a wonderful job and customized it to my need for a small size ceremony. She was even able to incorporate the color that I think will make the day special for our bride. Fry's pharmacy continuously experiences "computer problems" resulting in slow/no service. There are times when they can't even fulfill prescriptions because of this recurring issue. Get your food here, NOT your medications. Yes, I know. Most pharmacies are slow as molasses, but this one should get an award for being so slow and incompetent. Let' start: Their pharmacy people are super-nice and friendly, sort of like meandering cattle and just as useful. My hats off to them for coming up with all kinds of creative and polite ways of saying, "Computer is offline, come back later". I know the technical issues aren't their fault, but apparently they have no shame working for an incompetent employer. Sometimes they will just ask you to wait "a few minutes" and try the computer again. That turns into 15 minutes... or in my case 72 hours. No excuse for this other than bad Fry's management and pure ignorance. I went to Frys THREE DAYS before surgery to make sure that everything is in order (insurance, meds, etc) because I knew AFTER surgery, I would be in severe pain. SO... Went in on Monday to set things up. "Computer problems.... Come back tomorrow...." SO they collected my info on post-it note and attached it to the computer. Came back the next day and my sticky note was still there.... "Come back Wednesday "they said (they day of my surgery). Well, it's Wednesday. My prescription was called in and it was supposed to be ready to pick up by 8am. Computer down. "Come back at noon". It's 3:15 PM. I am in more pain now than I have ever been in my life and I hate Fry's with the same level of intensity. I'm STILL waiting for them to call me back. I will NEVER shop at Fry's for food or anything else for as long as I live. I will repeat this story to anyone who tells me they are taking medication. read more
