So this is not my preferred Albertsons but I shop here when my parents need or want something that's on the sale ad. It's the closest location to their home. My Dad needed half & half for his coffee along with a handful of things. 1st, I must say the young woman with blue hair that works the butcher counter is awesome. Pat the manager (?) Cashier is also great. My problem is with their dairy products. Every time I shop this store the majority of the dairy is past the best buy date. Today was no different. I really wanted Shamrock brand, for my Dad is particular. They were out. So I was going to get a quart of Lucerne brand, he'd have to deal. Nope, those had a best buy date of May 4th. Today is the 6th. Ok, I'll just get a pint and get his Shamrock quart at another location later in the week. Nope, the pint size expired April 21st. April 21st was like over two weeks ago. Does your store not rotate? The only half & half in that store, regardless of what the size was that wasn't past the sell buy date was some organic garbage for $5. It's not ok to sell expired food with how expensive everything is now a days. If my Dad would have ordered online I'm pretty sure that well expired dairy would have made it into his order. Good evening,everyone. The people that work here are friendly, and helpful. From the meat department man that helped me, to this gentleman I think his name was Roger. Last time I was here my digital app wasn't working. So I figured I would ask someone to see if it was installed on my phone correctly, before going in line and holding up everyone else. Roger, showed me how the app works. Very impressed with his knowledge and all the savings I would get. He put in my meat that was on the digital coupons, including bananas, bread, and a few other items I was purchasing. I get to the checkout and show the young lady my digital coupons. I didn't think anything about it, since it was already entered into my phone. I had to leave to pick up my daughter. I said to the children, I bought you mangos. Bring them to me so I can peel them for you. We can't find them anywhere. We looked in our fridge, back in the van, maybe I didn't get charged for them. I get out my receipt and low and behold I was charged for 4 mangos. I called customer service. Which took quite a bit of ringing and waiting. Finally someone answers. She asked me, who was my cashier's name on my receipt. I tell her the cashier's name and she says, I'm sorry she's left already. She said can you hold please? Yes of course. As I wait I take a closer look at my receipt. OMG... I was over charged $5 for grapes that we're on the coupon for $1.99 a lb I bought both red and green. In addition the bread that Roger showed me was on the coupon, and the banana. My receipt showed 2.48 more for the bread, 10 cents more per pound for the bananas, but the grapes we're the highest. I was charged $5. more for both grapes. The total over charged was almost $20. I wait for the customer service to get back on the phone, I'm waiting and we get disconnected! I call back again and it rings, and rings, and rings. No answer! Yes, my faults I should have checked my bags, and my receipt. But after picking up the kiddos from school, now they have to go to the bathroom, and I had to hurry to pick up my other child, I was rushing out the door. I spent to much time looking at which ones are digital coupons and regular coupons. Not worth the headache and time I spent to be over charged. Now more time tomorrow to return to the store to get my $20 back and my mangos. I'm going to return all the items I was over charged and get a refund on my mangos I didn't receive. SMH! Recently came here after visiting the grocery store across the street. I figured Albertsons would have everything I would normally find back home at Jewel Osco. Prices are fair but I did find it weird if you bought something from the liquor section, you have to check out the rest of your product too. I know it's for security purposes but I don't see this as efficient. Security was really friendly and laid back. Quiet store, prices are through the roof so I reccomend putting in your number to save a few bucks. read more

I like shopping here. The staff members are always very friendly with the exception of the deli staff who a few can be grumpy at times. However, with that said, I will get over that. I just kill them with kindness so to speak. The pharmacy here is really great. I do not get my Meds here but I recently got some vaccinations. They did a great job with insurance problems and non painful injections. Whenever I need help with anything here, everyone jumps in. It is a smaller store but their goals and beliefs align with mine so I try to shop here. It does cost a tad more on some staples compared to other grocery stores. I have ordered online several times. Albertsons has double charged me and I have to wait for the second charge to come off my checking account.Not sure why they would even do something like this.What is the point? Albertsons apparently finalizes the pick up orders even before you've picked it up, they don't find out whether you have coupons, they just finalize it. They charge your card which they did to me. They charged my card. And I didn't even pick up the order because when I went to pick it up the system said my order had been fully refunded. There's a lot of craziness going on in the pickup area, so tired of it. They are very incompetent people running the pick up area. read more

So here I am on a Thursday morning shopping for groceries with my wife, or better half, as I refer to her. We always start our shopping in the produce area of the store. Makes sense I suppose, since you bypass the the deli and bakery on the way to the produce. In all the years shopping at any grocery store, even going back to when I was eight years old shopping for my mom, I never had this one thing happen to me. First of all, my wife just happened to picks up the two bigger containers of blueberries, right? So what are the chances that one of the containers wasn't fully closed? This morning was not my morning! Maybe I was half asleep I don't know. So I have this big idea to rearrange our shopping cart. Mind you I had no clue that one of the plastic bags was stuck underneath this blueberry container. So here I pull on the plastic bag to rearrange some groceries, and the top of the one blueberry container comes loose. Next thing I know the blueberries go flying all over the produce area. My wife looks at me, probably my face had turned into an embarrassing red color. So the first person I saw that was an employee of the store was the lady from the bakery area. I walk over to her to tell her that I spilled the blueberries, and to say I was sorry about the mishap. She looks at me and looks down on the floor at the dang blueberries. I could tell she had a chuckle even behind the mask she was wearing, and told she would get someone to clean it up. Sure enough here comes the produce lady with a broom and something to put the dang blueberries in that were all over the floor. She was having a chuckle as well, and told me this happens all the time. I thought to myself, I guess there is a first time for everything. Never knew blueberries could bounce so far. I mean these blueberries really bounced pretty far. They bounce here, there, and every where else you never thought blueberries could go. I was even making sure no one would step on any blueberries as they can be messy. So after all the cleanup, you would of thought that every blueberry was picked up, right? Nope, certainly not. As we were checking out wouldn't you believe we still found some blueberries in the shopping cart. I guess the remaining blueberries had to be in the shopping cart, probably having a chuckle like telling me, haha, you couldn't find me. In any case this was my grocery shopping morning adventure. Be careful going to this pharmacy. If I had the option of rating this store pharmacy zero stars I certainly would. They will make health and medication decisions that override your Dr. they will cancel prescriptions with no notice regardless if it may be lifesaving medication or urgently needed after a serious surgery or illness. They will double charge your credit card and then force you to chase down your money. I've been forced into using this pharmacy because of Tricare's new policies. This Osco Albertsons (especially this location) leaves a lot to be desired. From filling your prescriptions when the pharmacist "feels like it" or the pharmacist pretending he has a medical license and making choices for me. Even overcharging on groceries every. single. time. I have the receipts to show how underhanded they are. Fry's here I come! read more

This store is near my apartment so I'm a fairly frequent shopper between here and Fry's if I'm looking for something Albertsons doesn't carry. If you're looking for a bigger variety or a specific item (Velveeta meals for example), Fry's may be a better fit down the street, but Albertsons will still most likely have what you're looking for. The staff has always been friendly. I love the selection of pre-made meals in the deli section. The sales are normally pretty good. There's a great variety of alcohol and plenty of cold drinks. I've gone in at a couple different times and days of the week and about 95% of the time I'm able to get in and out without waiting in line too long, maybe 10 minutes at most. I always use self-checkout and it normally goes by quick with all four machines working. More often than not I don't have to wait at all, I can get in and get out with the least amount of hassle possible. It's about all you'd expect from a grocery store overall. read more

This must be some type of "combination store", it's set up like Albertson's but seems to have a lot of generic brands some I haven't seen before now. The store is clean and the staff is very helpful. The prices seem to be good, however, since I didn't recognize some of the brands, the cheap prices might reflect the off brands. Overall a decent grocery store. Not sure if we'll be back in, we visit Phoenix often but usually stop in a grocery store at least once a trip to pick up some "Bill Johnston BBQ sauce" and refill the cooler with ice. So we tend to hit different stores depending on which part of town we happen to be in at the time. read more

I am giving this store one star due to their employees lack of professionalism. My experience happened on 8/30/22 at 8:52 pm, the register Id was self checkout 2952 53 243 (what my receipt shows) I have come in a few times because I prefer the products over Fry's which is just up the street. I usually utilize the app for the discounts and clip or click deals. This last time however the employee working self checkout was very rude and condescending. I mixed and matched items from the store ad (specifically the Quaker cereal add that tan last wee for 1.74 when you buy three). The woman at self checkout initially told me I did not have three Quaker items (which I did) I showed her that I had three items and that although they were not the same they were included in the promotion. To this she replied, "Well you have the wrong one and this was not part of the discount." without even bothering to check and walked away. I went to go look myself and then returned telling her that the labels all said mix and match. She proceeded to tell me again that the items I had scanned were not applicable to the discount mentioned in the ad. (Mind you I had already entered my app information and the deal was clipped in the app) I explained to her that the items were also labeled and I even double checked myself. She then told me to "go show" another employee where the item was to which I promptly refused since I had already been back there twice. The item is in the ad, and as a customer I should not have to direct a store employee to where certain items are located. She told another cashier at the register to go check. The employee went to check and informed the woman at self checkout that she needed to adjust the price since the items were labeled mix and match. Miraculously after that the discounts applied (interesting) This is not the first time this lady has done this to me but I wanted to bring it to the attention of the store manager because her lack of customer service is appalling. read more

I shop here on a semi regular basis because they are very close to my apartment. Overall, I don't have a specific problem with this location, and do enjoy shopping here. There are plenty of perks, but overall I can't go higher then a 3 on this place. the good parts is that they have an awesome deli with tons of great prepared dishes for sale. I always end up buying something from their deli, and I like their dishes better then Fry's prepared foods. Service is quick and efficient with little to no wait. Bakery is slim pickings for stuff like breads and what not, but its not half bad. Produce is always well stocked, and their meat and fish counter rocks! They always have great stuff on sale like chicken breasts, stuffed fish and a random selection of stuff. Love their prices and staff. The down side is that the register lines can be long and brutal. I don't expect to not wait, but these lines get LONG. I feel like this is the one place that is so understaffed. I can get quick service anywhere in the store, but I end up loosing time in the checkout lines! It's not that the staff is slow, it's that the don't have enough registers open at any given time. Plus, they did away with the self check outs, and there's usually maybe one express line open if your lucky...plus, factor in the fact that there's always some illiterate douchebag with a cart full of stuff that goes through the one express lane and screws it up for everyone else! Also, the parking lot can be somewhat of a mess. I swear, the people I run into here are crazy! People begging at the door for change or a smoke, idiot drivers who don't pay attention and act like it's a Nascar racing track, and whatever else runs in and out of here. I know it's not their job to patrol, but dang, nothing sucks more then running out to your car with a bag of groceries and getting approached by some homeless dude while your trying to get home in 115 degree heat and hoping your ice cream doesn't melt or your milk doesn't spoil. Or going into the store and getting asked for change by a homeless lady with her two kids....They could probably use a security guard to keep the riff raff out for sure. GET A SECURITY GUARD OUTSIDE ALREADY. Overall, it's an okay store. I don't do all my grocery shopping here, but it is part of my short list of places to go. This store has the worst customer service. The cashiers don't value their job. Which is to deliver top notch customer service. I have experience trying to be cheated money from cashier to them giving you attitude when correcting them from their mistakes. If the ad display and you have the app you should be granted sales prices also the management sucks they have in the last 4 years gone through at least 8-10 management. They need to be fired also if a guest is complaining about a situation and customer service it should be taken seriously. The guests are the ones who keeps the company afloat . At this point they should make the store completely self checkout Robots would do a better job they are more fit that the customer service here and the can count!!! Pretty irritated. I had ordered a case of Enjoy Life chocolate chips from a few weeks ago through a manager directly and I was told I'd receive a phone call when they arrived. After over a week I went to check on the shipment and was told they weren't there, which bothered me but was fine. I waited another week, only to go back a couple days ago and not only am I told the shipment isn't there so I can't buy a case, they raised the price of that product from $5.49 to $5.99 a bag. For years I have avoided the Albertsons at 19th Ave and Northern. The grocery manager, Gary France, has a terrible reputation with vendors and employees. My husband is in the grocery industry and many times we have been at social events and the subject of Gary comes up. It is disheartening to hear so many industry people actively avoiding interactions with him and countless stories of Gary yelling and being disrespectful. Now to my first hand experience with Gary. I was in the store last week and I saw Gary talking with a vendor. In a matter of a few seconds, his voice was raised and he was insulting and condescending to that person. Another shopper quickly walked away and I stood there baffled at how this person with such a bad reputation remains employed. read more

Two stars because most of the cashiers here enter the final total before allowing you to use your Just for U coupons. This is a big deal for me because almost every item I buy is using the coupons. Then they look at me badly and say that if I wanted them to ring everything back up. Um yeah! I needed a drink after a day full of sadness. My drink of choice was champagne and others at the after funeral party wanted beer. The store is so old looking. I'm spoiled in Northern California with all if the new remodeled Safeway's around me. I haven't been in a store like this in years. While it may have been old it was clean. Another great feature, a massive refrigerated beer case. The beer has its own room. It's own icy cold room. Arizona knows what's up when it comes to the need for cold beer. Check out was slow. But hey it's Arizona, it's slow around here. Not a normal shopping destination, just a stop along along my way. read more

Dear Albertsons on 19th Ave and Northern. You SUCK! Seriously, wow. I decided to give Albertsons a whirl on Saturday for my dinner party grocery needs. I needed a ton of produce and meat. I bought a 10 pound bag of potatos, got home and they ALL had eyes, they were soft to the touch and green. I bought 3 pears, they had some bad bruising on the inside that wasn't easily detected from the outside (otherwise I wouldn't have bought them). I bought 1 sweet potato, started to peel it and it had black spots all over it. Who ever is running the produce dept over there is not on top of things. The meat selection was good. Better then my close by Fry's. I liked the wide aisles, but it was hard to find things. I will stick to my Fry's and Safeway that are much closer and don't sell bad produce. read more

The good, the bad and the ugly from a guy that goes to this location every night for a year. The good: They are always stocked and I mean stocked to the rafters. Every time I go in their one of the floor managers is always putting something new in or someone is putting new stuff in. This place never ever runs out of goods, food or liquor. It is one of the best places for alcohol in the area with an extensive selection including some unique beers. Their pharmacy is 100% the very best I have ever been to. I went in post-root canal and the pharmacist who only knew me by sight saw I was in pain and excused previous customers to get me the prescription. I felt he went above and beyond at that point. Most of the checkout people are really helpful..Luis, Phillip, Terra, Matt are always there with a smile. These are nice friendly people that want you to find what you are looking for. The bad: Their bakery section is extremely bad..a very limited selection of bread, cakes and other baked items one would expect to find. Perhaps this is not their forte` for the area as several bakeries are located within a short drive and there is a very large Fry's about a mile away too. But it is a little disappointing. They also removed all the self-checkout machines which can cause the lines to get a wee long. Granted they work pretty hard to get the lines moving but I preferred the easy use self checkout for simple purchases. One small thing..this place looks like it was built and stayed in the 70's..a makeover would do this place wonders. The ugly: do not under any circumstances be lured in by 8 pieces fried chicken for $4.99. They advertise it for Fridays, it is appealing, the smell is right on but do yourself a favor and go up the road to KFC, spend the extra $2-3 and save yourself the return trip for pepto..This is my most profound advise on this place. Additionally their policy on returns is: No receipt than you get a little Albertsons gift card to make new purchases. It is not a bad policy and I am sure helps most people get their return and purchase new things right away. read more

Osco pharmacy inside of this Albertson's has and always will give me the biggest headaches every single month for years ! The pharmacy never answers their phone and I'm constantly running out of my medication with them it's a hit and miss roll of the dice with them some months they fill it like they should and days like today they wont do anything! the guy behind the counter literally told me he doesn't refill medication OK so ...why are you working there ? if they would answer the phone they would save me lots of gas and anguish stress and now I have to bug my doctors office once again to informed them that I'm going to be going days without my medication once again! thanks to this pharmacy inside at Albertson's on 19th Ave northern ! First time I had been in this store and the last time I will ever be in the store, the people in the meat department are lazy and rude, they act like they're doing you a favor to cut meat and wrap it for you and their snotty and rude especially the woman then had to wrap some meat for me I thought that's what they did in the meat department my mistake they just talk about each other that's all they seem to do was talk about the other employees I interrupted their conversation!
