Today is May 6th. Every pint of half & half had a best buy date of April 21st.

So this is not my preferred Albertsons but I shop here when my parents need or want something that's on the sale ad. It's the closest location to their home. My Dad needed half & half for his coffee along with a handful of things. 1st, I must say the young woman with blue hair that works the butcher counter is awesome. Pat the manager (?) Cashier is also great. My problem is with their dairy products. Every time I shop this store the majority of the dairy is past the best buy date. Today was no different. I really wanted Shamrock brand, for my Dad is particular. They were out. So I was going to get a quart of Lucerne brand, he'd have to deal. Nope, those had a best buy date of May 4th. Today is the 6th. Ok, I'll just get a pint and get his Shamrock quart at another location later in the week. Nope, the pint size expired April 21st. April 21st was like over two weeks ago. Does your store not rotate? The only half & half in that store, regardless of what the size was that wasn't past the sell buy date was some organic garbage for $5. It's not ok to sell expired food with how expensive everything is now a days. If my Dad would have ordered online I'm pretty sure that well expired dairy would have made it into his order. Do better Albertsons, do better.

I have ordered online several times. Albertsons has double charged me and I have to wait for the second charge to come off my checking account. Not sure why they would even do something like this. What is the point? Albertsons apparently finalizes the pick up orders even before you've picked it up, they don't find out whether you have coupons, they just finalize it. They charge your card which they did to me. They charged my card. And I didn't even pick up the order because when I went to pick it up the system said my order had been fully refunded. There's a lot of craziness going on in the pickup area, so tired of it. They are very incompetent people running the pick up area.

So here I am on a Thursday morning shopping for groceries with my wife, or better half, as I refer to her. We always start our shopping in the produce area of the store. Makes sense I suppose, since you bypass the the deli and bakery on the way to the produce. In all the years shopping at any grocery store, even going back to when I was eight years old shopping for my mom, I never had this one thing happen to me. First of all, my wife just happened to picks up the two bigger containers of blueberries, right? So what are the chances that one of the containers wasn't fully closed? This morning was not my morning! Maybe I was half asleep I don't know. So I have this big idea to rearrange our shopping cart. Mind you I had no clue that one of the plastic bags was stuck underneath this blueberry container. So here I pull on the plastic bag to rearrange some groceries, and the top of the one blueberry container comes loose. Next thing I know the blueberries go flying all over the produce area. My wife looks at me, probably my face had turned into an embarrassing red color. So the first person I saw that was an employee of the store was the lady from the bakery area. I walk over to her to tell her that I spilled the blueberries, and to say I was sorry about the mishap. She looks at me and looks down on the floor at the dang blueberries. I could tell she had a chuckle even behind the mask she was wearing, and told she would get someone to clean it up. Sure enough here comes the produce lady with a broom and something to put the dang blueberries in that were all over the floor. She was having a chuckle as well, and told me this happens all the time. I thought to myself, I guess there is a first time for everything. Never knew blueberries could bounce so far. I mean these blueberries really bounced pretty far. They bounce here, there, and every where else you never thought blueberries could go. I was even making sure no one would step on any blueberries as they can be messy. So after all the cleanup, you would of thought that every blueberry was picked up, right? Nope, certainly not. As we were checking out wouldn't you believe we still found some blueberries in the shopping cart. I guess the remaining blueberries had to be in the shopping cart, probably having a chuckle like telling me, haha, you couldn't find me. In any case this was my grocery shopping morning adventure. I still like blueberries!

This by far has to be the worst looking cake I've ever seen and for 20 bucks?!? First time I've ever had a horrible looking cake from Albertsons. Never again will buy a cake from here again. Looks like a child made it the border isn't great and the handwriting looks like a child

This must be some type of "combination store", it's set up like Albertson's but seems to have a lot of generic brands some I haven't seen before now. The store is clean and the staff is very helpful. The prices seem to be good, however, since I didn't recognize some of the brands, the cheap prices might reflect the off brands. Overall a decent grocery store. Not sure if we'll be back in, we visit Phoenix often but usually stop in a grocery store at least once a trip to pick up some "Bill Johnston BBQ sauce" and refill the cooler with ice. So we tend to hit different stores depending on which part of town we happen to be in at the time.

In some areas, it lacks variety. But, my recent stop just blew me away. I came in specifically for produce and was shocked at how much lower Winco was compared to the big-name stores. I still had my receipt from the previous week's shopping elsewhere so I started wandering around, comparing my list item for item. The difference was significant. The bulk section gives you everything from spices (You can buy just a little of something you don't use often.) and they had some interesting base mixes for things like gravy or hummus. I did pass by all the bulk candy. Even though they did it for me, I did carefully check out the Sanderson Farms chicken I usually buy elsewhere and their non-sale price was lower for the same brand and quality. I was looking a little lost and an employee did pop over to ask if I needed help. My cashier was fast and friendly. I'm not a fan of the self-bagging. It feels rushed when there is a long line and the bags are thin. I doubled most. They don't take credit cards. When we arrived, they had some of their plants outside covered by a tent, which made perfect sense given the Phoenix heat. Inside, the layout was pretty similar to the other Trader Joe's I've visited, but I did notice something different about shopping in a bigger city. At our Trader Joe's back home, we never need anyone directing traffic at checkout, but at the last couple of Trader Joe's I've visited in larger cities, they've had employees helping direct the line because it can get pretty long. The good news is that even when the line looks intimidating, it moves incredibly quickly. I was specifically looking for the chocolate sardines--I had seen them before and really wanted to find them. I couldn't locate them anywhere, but as we were checking out, I mentioned it. A woman immediately called someone over to help, and he came back with them before we had even finished checking out! Now THAT is customer service! Our cashier, Joey, was also super friendly. He chatted with us while we checked out and even told us about their partnership with a neighboring grocery store. I always appreciate employees who are willing to take a minute to chat and make the experience feel more personal. One of my favorite things about visiting Trader Joe's in different cities is that it still feels familiar. You can walk in somewhere hundreds of miles from home and immediately recognize your favorite snacks and products. At the same time, you get to see little differences based on the location and the people who shop there. And, of course, there are the samples! Who doesn't love a Trader Joe's sample? Overall, another great Trader Joe's experience. It's always fun to visit one in a new city, see what's different, stock up on familiar favorites, and maybe discover something new along the way. Phoenix definitely didn't disappoint!

Yes. Did the cashier look me in the eye and say literally anything helpful? So now my bag of sweet-and-sour gummy worms remains sealed because I, for one, prefer my organ systems unchallenged. No warning. No, "Hey maybe don't eat these before a road trip." Just, "that'll be $3.99." One serving of these gummy worms, eight pieces, has 14g of fiber. That's 50% of your daily value! The only warning on the front of the bag is a cute little worm declaring that the gummy worms are, "not a low calorie food." At least the Trader Joe's, "Just a Handful of Pitted Salted Manzanilla Olives" for $0.99 were good. But the amount of olives I eat in one sitting, I would need the Costco size container.

The first thing I noticed was the entrance it's positioned on the side of the building facing smaller neighboring businesses. It's a bit unusual and honestly made me second-guess parking and going in at first because the exterior gave off a slightly off vibe. The layout just feels like it could be clearer or more inviting. Inside the bakery section, a very friendly gentleman was going through and tallying up leftover baked goods. I asked what he was doing,( because I'm noisey lol) he explained they were accounting for what was left some items get sold and some get discarded. It did make me think about food waste and how leftover items could potentially be put to better use. I was still able to grab what I came for, and the service overall was good. It also seemed like they were in closing cleanup mode, even though the store was still open, likely due to a slow "happy hour" type period with very few customers. Only real downside for me would be visiting later in the day when it gets dark the exterior and setup don't feel the most comfortable at night. During the day though, I'd return again.
