The dude that works the fish counter is always "cleaning up during the 6 o'clock hour and unable to fulfill any seafood orders after that. Not everyone gets off work at 4 so they can shop before this guy's lunch break (they don't close until 10pm). This place used to have good options but seem lately out of everything. I sense it will be closed and we will have to deal with Safeway at Thompson Peak. They are better run but inconvenient distance wise Anyone else sensing a similar vibe? Employees while not their fault and most seem nice) they come across jaded and "done".... Doesn't appear to the best work environment. Stopped by again tonight at 7pm and fish man is literally yelling at me. What a miserable place. Unfortunately it rubs off on your customers. The ONLY reason people go there is vicinity. Disgusting Discrimination and Horrible Management!!!! I have been a loyal customer at this Albertsons for over five years, but after my experience today, I will never be returning. What I encountered was serious discrimination and completely unprofessional behavior from the management and staff. While my five-year-old biracial son was helping me scan our groceries, a supervisor named Lisa, who was working the self-scan area, came over unprompted to check what we had already scanned. I was about to scan alcohol and offered to show her my ID, but she refused. Instead, she proceeded to verbally ostracize me in front of other customers, saying, "no I think you have the MO of someone who steals since you have a child scanning and meat at the bottom where 'most people like you' would put their meat at the top." The comment "most people like you" was shocking and completely inappropriate. My son is black and white, and I am white, but with an olive complexion. There is absolutely no reason for us to be singled out or targeted. I was shaking and utterly horrified by her blatant discriminatory comments and actions. Lisa then refused to help other customers until she watched me scan every single item in my cart. The entire experience left me feeling so uncomfortable and humiliated that I walked away from the check-out aisle crying. I immediately reported the incident to the store manager. Their apology was completely lackluster, and they offered nothing more than a personal "sorry." Their lack of concern and unwillingness to address such a serious issue shows a deep failure in their management. I will not be back to this store and will be working directly with Albertsons HR to formally report this woman for her unacceptable and discriminatory behavior. I am also considering filing a formal complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Civil Rights Division, because no one should ever have to experience this kind of harassment while simply trying to get groceries. read more

In general Albertsons isn't my number one Supermarket I shop at at and I don't live in this area, but the the past couple months I've been up in this area a few days a week for appointments and when I do need something from Albertsons/Safeway I've been to this store. In terms of cleanliness/helpful staff/being well-stocked it's fine. Although the last time I came here there was a few sale items I wanted they were out of (I find that Albertsons/Safeway is pretty good about keeping sale items wells stocked). A couple odd things about this store are 1) the layout. When you walk into this store it kinds of looks/feels like a warehouse and almost has an overly sterile feel to it. Like I said, it's clean but there's just something about it that feels...different. 2) The parking lot is kind of annoying. The store is located in a small shopping center with only a few other stores so the parking is kind of crammed. It's a fine store to shop at though. read more

We had zero problems with our visit here. The store was clean and organized. Items were stocked and everything was priced. I was tempted by about a bazillion things. We bought premade, easy to make food for our hotel stay and we enjoyed all of it. Everything was fresh. We were even able to park close to the entrance. read more

I live in New Jersey and assist my sister in Scottsdale, AZ who is ill, by performing on-line grocery orders and having them delivered to her. I have done this twice in the past 2- months and both times, her dairy products (milk, cream, 1/2 and 1/2 etc.,) were not delivered. I have enjoyed shopping at this Scottsdale store myself when I visited my sister, but action does need to be taken to correct this on-line order flaw, so it doesn't happen again to myself or others. read more

this store advertises curbside pick-up and that is a joke. Not only are their prices higher, they have no concept of curbside pick-up. They could take some lessons from Sprouts, PetSmart, Walmart and Fry's all of which have great service. I placed an order online on Friday for pick-up Saturday at 11:00a.m. I drove to the store and sat in pick-up parking for about 15 minutes, calling them with no response. Finally, I got an answer from someone with cell phone inside store, They advised I did NOT have an order placed and were rude as to whether I had the right store! After some back and forth, I told them they had no idea of curbside pick-up or customer service. Needless to say I will not try again. I would also advise you to try elsewhere as well. read more

I worked here for many years after chad gephart took over in late 2023 the store has gone excessively downhill he has fired staff that were competent and replaced most with people from his previous employer within Safeway. Steve the previous store director was awesome and a great boss, and mentor Chad could never live up to those expectations. i saw this store fall from the greatness it served. and by the end went through manager to manager. most staff that were great have been transferred or let go. my department ws let go by Chad and he screwed everything up. if you want to save this store and complain I'm leaving the Albertsons human resource phone number below. not to mention Chad and assistant manager Justin were hiring and 16 year boy to run as a night manager against company policy which I should have reported before leaving. While I still won't purchase their cold "leftover" rotisserie chicken, I do appreciate this store more now during the current pandemic. This store does a great job of making sure customers have clean, sanitized carts ready to use. They also have very clear signage as to where to return used carts, so they don't get mixed-up. They've also redone the layout and are clearly working hard to re-stock shelves and meet customer shopping needs. Additionally, employees are easy to find, friendly and helpful, and constantly wearing masks. Keep up the good work Albertson's! read more

I went to this store after dinner to pick up some needed items. My first stop was the deli. There were no other customers so I was delighted. Ordered two pounds of low salt ham. After the deli server (older gent) was finished with the ham, I asked for two pounds of cheese. He turned to me and said, "I'm sorry, I'm closed" while referring to the time. It was 8:58PM and they close at 9. So he wouldn't complete my order because his time was almost up. Would he have done this if he owned his own deli? I. DONT. THINK. SO. I have had several disappointing experiences, but the last one was the worst, a pickup order. 1) expired food. 2) broken egg inside carton, leaked over everything. 3) veggie put on top of egg carton, not in separate bag, slimed in egg white. Used to shop here - USED TO - for 15 years (even after it changed owner's, then reverted to Albertsons). Previous manager, fellow named Steve, was awesome, and his staff was great and helpful. Several months ago a guy named Chad took over the store. The few times I talked to him he wasn't friendly or helpful, and place has gone down. Most of the staff have either left (or been fired) since he started and the people that have replaced them seem to have Chad's attitude. I've switched to the Safeway over on Thompson Peak. read more

I only go here for convenience. I have had so many issues here it's unreal. One, I went to the meat counter to get pepperoni sliced from the big stick. The guy didn't even peel the plastic off and sliced it with the plastic casing. I get home and I eat one and then also eat the casing. I looked in the bag and all of it had the casing. I don't have time or patience to take this off so I returned it. I was pissed. I have never returned food and I had to deal with this. I also hate that they don't use boars head. It's some other nonsense that is pretty bad. Second thing that happened, I bought this peach iced tea. It had expired a month prior!!!!!! But not only me drinking some then noticing. I mean come on people get it together. Both times they returned my stuff and barely apologized, but they returned it. My point is that I wasted time that I'm never getting back. I usually would throw it away, but the ppl need to know. Overall look and feel of this place seems old or just odd on their entire scene. The staff is eh. I really like this store. It has everything I need, the parking is good, and the staff is nice. I especially like the cashier Marita; when she's there I pick her line. I don't like the new flower display. I liked it much better when the flowers weren't wrapped in paper, and there used to be astromeria (I saw none last week). Worst Shopping Experience Ever. The customer service here is definitely lacking. If I could rate this place a 0 I most definitely would. I stopped shopping here in January. Ten whole months ago and I'm about to tell you the reason why. I literally live in the apartments behind this Albertsons so you think shopping here would be convenient. I shop early mornings before work and I shop and spend about 300. Every two weeks so needless to say I have ALOT of groceries in my basket and also a ton veggies and fruits as well. And anyone who has been to self checkout knows how time consuming this can be entering every item. If I had a few things it wouldn't be a big deal at all. But I had a huge basket full of groceries. So I stopped coming here 10 months ago because every single time I would go grocery shopping early in the morning before work there would be NO CASHIERS to ring you out. You would have to go to self check out. So I started going to the Safeway on Thompson Peak Parkway. They ALWAYS have someone there at 6 am with a smile on their face happy to ring you up and help you. Even though gas went up I would still go there every 2 weeks because I knew I would be great customer service. However this morning I was pressed for time and I decided "You know what, I'm going to give Albertsons another try maybe they can redeem themselves. Huge Mistake. I had my cart full my 300 worth of groceries and walked up to check stand 4 the light wasn't on but I was crossing my fingers hoping to get some HELP. And I asked Joe who was just standing there behind the check stand. "Can you ring me up?" Joe replies "No, self check out only." He seen that my basket was FULL. And still sent me to self check out. Wow!! Pretty sad. He could have said "Sure, I'll ring you up here or on check stand one". But no he was to busy just standing there to lend a helping hand. Joe two words for you buddy RETIRE MENT. So back I'll go to the Thompson Peak Safeway where I get exceptional customer service. I really feel bad for any elderly people who have to shop here. Always the best experience at Albertsons! I have gone to several box stores looking for a specific item. Each time I ask an employee, they point to some direction and say look over there. No personal customer service. Today I stopped at Albertsons and even though they did not have exactly what I needed I was walked over to the isle and together the store employee and I looked for the item I needed. He was polite and really took the time to help me. It is the personal connection, helpfulness and friendliness customer service that keeps bringing me back to this specific store. I do my grocery shopping at this location. The people working here are really nice and have always been helpful. However, I have found that Frys has more brands and more food choices. Also I was told my insurance network changed and that I would need to get my prescriptions at Albertsons. My current pharmacy said I would need to call wherever I was in network and ask them to call my former pharmacy and they would forward all of my Rxs to the new place. I called Albertsons three times during business hours and nobody answered my calls. Unacceptable service for the pharmacy. I will go somewhere else for any of my medical needs. read more

I dropped an order off at 3pm the day before the party and did not expect this when I picked up. . The bakery decorator I think her name was Alyssa did such a great job On these cupcake cakes! She called me a few hours before I picked them up to ensure she understood the order. It was the talk of the party and it went beyond my expectations. I like the covered parking because it's extremely hot here in Arizona! I do think there prices are high so I only go there for a few things , I like that they have a Starbucks inside the store so I can grab a coffee and shop . We come to this Albertsons every so often, but preferring instead the location near the 101 and FLW Blvd. Both stores are clean and their employees are helpful when looking for hard to find items. The game we all play with grocery food chains each week is who has the best circular and prices for week. And, as some have already mentioned, the prices seem slightly higher then Fry's. I myself find them on a par with Safeway. What is also nice about this location is the variety of fast food options available nearby. Parking can sometimes be difficult to navigate due to the poor sight lines and folks dashing in and out. So, be careful when you're in their parking lot. read more

Clean affordable grocery store walking distance from my residence. Everyone here is helpful and nice and can guide you with whatever you need. I've gotten several coffees from their in store Starbucks which is A+ for me. I was actually able to buy my wrist brace and pay at the Starbucks real quick since all check out lanes and pharmacy were full. The only downside is not all check out lanes are full with cashiers and can back up quick. Also, I wish they had a better produce section sometimes not always fully stocked. Other than that, great pricing and super convenient. They have covered parking which I love and you're also able to use your Safeway club card for discounts. Thanks Albertsons! read more

So glad to see that Albertsons is back in business. It closed, then Haagen opened there, then it made a comeback. It's a large, clean store that has variety and it's easy to shop.
