Salsa at a place called a milk depot? Sure why not?! Add to that the convenience of drive thru ordering and I was sold on trying this place out. They have all your basic convenience store items in addition to the freshly made salsa and also have slush puppies which sounds intriguing if you want something cool on a hot day. The salsa comes in a 16 oz or 32 oz size, in your choice of mild, hot, or ghost pepper. Varieties are original red, green, and a chunky pico de gallo. I opted for a red and green in mild. I also got a container of sour cream. The total for the three items was a little over $10 which was perfect since there is no surcharge for using credit card if your total is $10 or more. Out of the two salsas I greatly preferred the red more. The green had a very strong acidic, almost bitter quality to it that was too much for me. My husband said about the red "I want to eat this salsa every week until I die." If that isn't a testament to tastiness I don't know what is! The sour cream brand was Shamrock and it was a little under $3.50. Service was very friendly. The mild salsas were good heat-wise. There was just enough heat to keep it interesting flavor wise. As for freshness, based on the expiration date I think the red salsa I got was made that same day, and the green the day before. read more

Maybe I stress too much, because when I went back, cashier lady "Bratzilla" was completely understanding and refunded the overcharge amount on the spot. I didn't know this place had a name! Such a fun little convenience store. It's a mix between a Circle K/QT and a drive-thru liquor store. There tends to always be a small line of cars, but the staff will come out to you and get what you need. I really enjoy going because of its charming divey feel, nice owners and decent selection for the size of the store. It seems like they've been around a while and have cultivated a strong patron base. A couple things to keep in mind: Bring cash if you can. There is a small fee (40 cents) if you use credit or debit under $10 dollars. They serve fountain drinks in styrofoam cups of various sizes. Pepsi products only for those. I live close by so this has become my designated "gas station run" spot. La Milk Depot, my happy place. This is the place I stop by before and after work. Always great customer service, especially from "Kip". They have anything you need for a party or last minute items you forgot at the grocery store Try Bobettes salsa, it's the bomb. The drive thru is quick and very convenient. After 4pm on Friday the line is a little longer because people need their fun juice after a long week. However, you still won't wait longer than a few minutes in line. The best salsa in town, for their style (blended restaurant). Bobette the owner, and salsa genius is usually there and I believe that the rest of her family helps her run the place. So beyond the salsa, it's one of those convenience stores that has everything, from booze to snacks to slush puppies, a real throwback to the mid-90s and it seems like they haven't raised their prices since then. The salsa runs $2 for 8oz and $5 for 32oz, and they had a special the other day, 12-32oz Budweiser bottles for $12, but that sold out quick and now I have a fridge full of Buds. This place is so dependable and close to home, it get me outta minor jams whenever I wanna get something quick and don't wanna go to a store that's further away. The prices are not far off what I would pay at a supermarket, but it's quick and I don't even have to get outta my car. Def check them out. I've been going to this little convenience store all off my life. I love having a little store in my neighborhood! Milk Depot has helped me out so many times, when I forgot something at the store, ie: butter, eggs, popcorn, drinks, etc.. The workers are friendly, too. They clean the establishment really well, too. I often see them spraying down their parking lot and drive-through. I also see them mopping, rearranging, and organizing often. I like how funny the workers are, I can joke with them all of the time. :-) Great workers, great place. read more

This place is Super! Drive-thru with curb service, can't get any better than that. The staff are always friendly an nice, very helpful.
