Love this store! Quite the contrast from its cousin (SAFEWAY) across the street; best of all, my favorite wine is $2 LESS than said cousins place. I own a business around the corner and went in to get some steaks for dinner. As I went to the meat section I was instantly confused by the way Albertsons sets up their prices... I saw 4 shelves so you would expect 4 price tags right???? I guess there were only 3 which was really confusing. I went to checkout and I got a completely different price. I told the guy Robert to go check because 2 steaks usually don't cost twenty eight dollars. I was told that he couldn't check which in the service industry is a big no no. I proceeded to check out and go to customer service since Robert wouldn't check because it would take up his time. I approached the front counter and we walked back and the first thing the gentleman said was yeah I can see how you saw the price. I had to go to the front refund the debit which took about 15 to 20 minutes. I then went to ask for the guys name and he wouldn't give it to me because he knew he treated a customer poorly. I went to the representative at customer service to finish my transaction for the steak and ask when the general manager was in. I was about to walk out and Robert put his hand on my shoulder and you DON'T TOUCH CUSTOMERS!!!! This is unbelievable. I have never experienced something so terrible in my entire experience as a business owner. This is the last time I am going back there... read more

Three lanes open and the express lane check out clerk sends a customer off in search for an item to complete her non-express size order....leaving us to wait for 10 minutes. When the customer finally comes back, the manager stops to chat with this customer about her son's football injury. So we continue to wait while she thinks about pulling out her checkbook to pay (CHECKBOOK, REALLY!!). In the meantime, the other two open registers have completed over 5 orders apiece, non-express. And the manager says to us, thank you for waiting. The cashier never even made eye contact, no thank you, no apology, nor one word. Don't worry, it won't happen again. You just lost a customer. read more

It's been a challenging year, and I truly appreciate my neighborhood grocery store. They have done an excellent job keeping us all safe and healthy. Always a sanitized cart available. Offering early morning hours for Seniors and those more vulnerable. Lots of plexiglass and hand sanitizer around. Staff available to help bag. Of course, masking and distancing. Parking for curbside pickup. Friendly staff. Now if I could just get some of the other customers to follow the one way aisles! read more

Pros: The Store Manager is very polite and helpful. The store is very clean. Most of the staff is friendly. (See cons). Cons: I find them to be more expensive than Fry's or Safeway for the things I shop for. Their cake decorator. Specifically the one working on 4.9.11 in the early afternoon. I have never been spoken to in such a rude tone or treated this badly by someone on the other side of the counter. On the 3 occasions I tried to speak with her she either snapped at me to make it quick because she was on her lunch break OR rolled her eyes at her coworker OR walked off in a huff. I still had questions so I left my order information with the nicer, yet clueless on cakes, lady in the bakery. It took someone a week to call me back. Needless to say I had made alternate arrangements. Oh and a bright idea, if you are on your break stay in your break room, leave the store, or put on something to hide the fact that you work there. Don't prance around in the store and NOT expect a customer to ask you questions! read more

For years I shopped online with Safeway, it was bringing the orders in trucks with 3 temperatures, room temperature, fridge and freezer. A few months ago they switch to shop online with sister store Albertson. Everything is brought by a third party. Frozen items get thawed to my door, they don't even ask their drivers to use a cheap cooler with ice packs. Orders are most of the time messed up, I get items I didn't order, and missing ones (fortunately their Customer Service is good, they refund the missing items and do not charge for unwanted ones). With Safeway delivery, if you didn't want to accept an item for any reason, the driver would take it back and you would get a refund, no questions asked. But the top of it all is their "Annual plan" to get free delivery every time. "YOU CAN CANCEL ANYTIME", but they only put in the long "agreement" that you would not get refunded for the unused part of the service. Almost everywhere "YOU CAN CANCEL ANYTIME" means you get reimbursed for the unused time. Not to mention that the other 2 supermarkets available in my area (Basha's and Frys), are always less expensive than Safeway and Albertson. read more

Good wine selection. Very dark parking lot but that's because they have a lot of covered spaces. That's a plus in the daytime, but at night it's not. I would like to see more lighting at night. Good service as always and a clean store. read more

I'm not typically one to write reviews, and especially not for a chain grocery store but I felt compelled when I saw a couple bad reviews. Jess, the manager is great, and so are all of the cashiers. There are too many to name that take the time to actually learn your name and make sure you have everything you needed. This Starbucks is also my favorite. All of the guys (and Tara) are soo friendly and do a wonderful job. Even though drive through Starbucks are easier for me when toting a small child, I make a point to go to this one. read more

I do miss Safeway but it is so much more convenient to have the self checkout. Much less lines going on now which saves time and irritation. I really do miss the Safeway Starbucks employees though. The gal at the Albertsons Starbucks today was friendly enough but every time I've had her and I'm trying to enter my customer number she enters straight through it so I can't enter it. Someone should probably explain to her why we enter in the number. I don't know what she thinks I'm entering into the card machine if it isn't my phone number. It's been 3 times now and it's a little irritating. read more

Disappointed. The law in Arizona states very clearly, on one page the laws and rules governing service dogs...walking up to a person and asking them what their disability is is against the law. The store manager Jessie, specifically did this to me today. When I told him it is illegal to ask he flubbed around for a while then picked this jewel out of his cranium....I hear the law changed or was amended. Bull crap. He knows what the law is......you cannot be a manager in the food industry in Arizona and claim to be be ignorant of the law. Am I accusing him of lying....no...I will not go that far...bullying, yes...I will go exactly that far. Taking advantage of people that may not know the law....yes. Yes. Yes. I may make a formal complaint. I will be calling regional and reporting this behavior for sure. read more

Clean place and the staff was very polite and helpful. I wish other Albertsons were as nice as this one, especially with staff. Beer selection was good but not great. Parking is on a somewhat steep grade so choose wisely where you park your car relative to the cart corrals. read more

I work evenings and always do my shopping at Albertsons.between 10 and 11pm. Not only is the store consistently well-stocked and customer-friendly, but the staff is great. SPECIAL MENTION goes out to cashier CRAIG (#323) who is not only terrific and well-organized, but is one of the nicest and most thoughtful employees you'll ever meet. I love this store! Have you seen the new carport awnings? they're amazing. For the most part the employees are pleasant, courteous and helpful with the exception of the young brunet that works in customer service.She less than helpful and acts like she's bothered when she has to help someone. The store manager and assistant managers are always helpful! I can shop across the street at Safeway or up the road at Fry's however I choose this Albertsons location because of the friendly staff and quality of food. I like this location because its close to my house. But for some reason they don't have a lot of the items I like that I find at safeway or Frys. Maybe they just carry different things I don't know. But this place is definetely clean. I agree with the other reviewers. Aisles are clean for sure. One other thing i like about this place is it is never busy. Always lanes open and never a long wait. If you want regular groceries go here. If you need specialty check elsewhere. read more

Their Customer Service Counter should be " Customer Service if we feel like it" More times than not this counter is not manned causing a wait for someone to come, they never say sorry for the delay, never. First of all the cashiers are great, it is management and corporate that I have a problem with. They had an ad this week for $10 off when you purchased select beverages including Tanqueray, Smirnoff, BV wine. In the add it states..." SMIRNOFF (any variant, including flavors), STERLING VINEYARDS Wine (any varietal)†, TANQUERAY London Dry Gin AND/OR TANQUERAY RANGPUR Gin. " But when I purchased Tanqueray London Dry Gin (same on that is pictured in ad) ..I was informed that was not on the list they got from corporate so it did not count. Uh...WHAT??? Same thing with Smirnoff, I purchased one of the flavors and was told all the other ones counted EXCEPT that on. Cashier told me he had already been written up by his manager for honoring the ad versus the list provided by corporate. Well Albertsons... I will be going to FRYs next time and I feel so sorry for those cashiers who are going to have to look up every UPC code and then get yelled at when it is not on the list. read more

I was so sad when albertsons closed and haggens took over. I absolutely hated haggens and Safeway, even though they are sister stores it just wasn't the same. I was so glad that they came back. I was driving up to the one on frank Lloyd wright and the 101. The staff are so friendly and I was glad to see the same manager still working there. read more

All my experiences at this Albertsons have been very pleasant. The employees in the different departments are extremely helpful and friendly. The prices, I have found are more reasonable than safeway and frys. On multiple occasions I have found great deals in the meat department. (Even buy one get two free on sirloin and full racks of ribs!) The bakery department is very cooperative and creative. The store director, Steve, is efficient, hard-working, and attentive to customers. read more

The store can be very pricey. You can get some of the same products at Walmart for more than half the price Albertsons charges. Brand name relish at Albertsons is $2.99. Same brand name relish at Walmart is 99 cents. Wow, two dollars more for the same product. But Albertsons does offer a lot of sale prices on fruits, veggies and dairy products that Walmart doesn't offer. Need to go over your receipt, the cashiers goof up sometimes. Great store, beautiful Adobe style Scottsdale store, covered parking, friendly staff, but you need to watch the prices. read more
