A great stop for a little food and beverage during our stay for spring training. So nice, we came back twice. The usual full array of delicious beverages and coffee for the week. Great selection of beverages (no spirits though) and happy hour themed treats for poolside happy hours and late evening snacks. The selection of nuts was, as usual outstanding. After another successful trip to this TJ's this morning, and realizing that I have not updated my review since 2009, I'd say it's time to do so... and to add an extra star too! I've been shopping at this location for almost two decades at this point and I'm definitely a huge fan. The parking is easy and spots are typically available - even on the most crowded shopping times. The staff are always friendly and I'm constantly finding amazing new products to try... Today for example, I purchased a Mango Blueberry Chia Bowl, Jelly Bean Hearts, Spring Rolls with Shrimp + Cashew Dipping Sauce, a Garlic Spread Dip, and a Coconut Cream Yogurt. Some oldie but goodie favorites of ours include Freeze Dried Strawberries, Rice Cracker Medley, Grecian Style Eggplant, Silver Dollar Pancakes, PB&C Snacks, Mini Cheese Crackers, Fruit Leather, Dried Mango, Nuts, Trail Mix, Roasted Chicken, Salmon, Bruschetta Mix, Chomps Sticks, Mochi, Merengues, and more... I ind their produce to be pretty decent, their flowers affordable and beautiful, their toiletries and pet products pretty stellar, I could go on. Fantastic Trader Joe's! Easy parking--it's always busy even by 8:15 in the morning, however there are tons of spaces on the side and it's pretty easy to get a decent space somewhere. More importantly than the parking lot, this is just a top-notch store all around. I've been shopping the location for over 20 years, since before it was renovated and maybe since it was first opened. Many of the employees from those days are still at the store which is a testament to great management. There's always registers open to meet the needs of the customers. Unlike other grocery store chains, it's very rare to have more than two or three customers in line with any registers closed. If I could get everything I needed at Trader Joe's, I would never shop anywhere else. Enough said. read more

Usually, I go to another location over on 24th St. in Camelback. Two days ago I would make the choice to go to this location because it was closer to me and that would be from my perspective the wrong decision to make. I only had to get honey for my tea, and when I was being rung up, dude made a weird comment on how you could survive on nothing but honey which I doubt is true and I'll go further I think it was just nothing but sarcasm. I really love all the Trader Joe's I've ever visited in AZ, CA, NJ, NY and other states I've probably forgotten. You just can't beat the quality of their products, the humor infused in some of their items and the humanity of their employees. I especially love the stores that have good descriptions of wines. Here's a little known wine tip: Wineries will produce a certain number of bottles and anything extra they might have beyond the production bottles gets sold to other companies. So when you see Trader Joe's Reserve, that's likely to be a good quality wine that is more expensive under the name brand label. It's also why the cork doesn't have any kind of stamp on it. Trader Joe's Reserve organic wines are an especially good deal. read more

There are several considerations when shopping at Trader Joe's. First, it is not a full-service grocery store (no toilet paper or cleaning products, etc.), their hours open hours are not as long and they close on major holidays. They do have excellent customer service, they have a great selection of fresh flowers and plants, and their prices tend to be more reasonable than a regular grocery store. This Trader Joe's is always stocked with succulents, pretty flowers, fresh fruits, and perfectly ripe avocados. This is my healthy food go-to grocery store. Even the prepackaged foods are made with very few ingredients which makes it easy to eat healthy, and not to mention on a budget! My usuals: *Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches* Find this in the freezer section by all the ice creams and desserts. This is by far my favorite dessert from Trader Joe's and it's Trader Joe's brand too so you can't get it anywhere else. The cookie sandwiches are delicious yet light and not too heavy. The ice cream around the edges are rolled in tiny chocolate chips..YUM. *King's Coconut Water* This is the best tasting coconut water that is sold in a grocery store that tastes like it's from a fresh coconut. I drink this plain out of the carton or mix it into some of my smoothies. *Gorgonzola Gnocchi* decadent. Italian. Delicious. Tastes better than restaurant gnocchi. No joke. I add paprika to it for a little more flavor. Find this in the freezer section a little after the desserts. *Cauliflower Crust Pizza* Trader Joe's sells plain cheese cauliflower crust pizza and just plain Cauliflower Crusts so you can put whatever toppings you want. Find this in the freezer section by all the other pizzas, appetizers, etc. *Creamy Tomato Basil Sauce* I always keep a jar of this stocked in my fridge. It's the perfect pasta sauce to go with any type of pasta whether it's penne, fettuccine, spaghetti, rigatoni, etc. Find this next to the dry pastas. *Riced Cauliflower* I keep this in my freezer and add it to my smoothies to make them thicker/creamier. I also make egg fried cauliflower rice with this. *Greek Yogurt Spinach and Kale Dip* A healthier alternative to spinach and artichoke dip, but tastes just as delicious *Dry Fruits* My favorites are the packaged dry strawberries *Sweet Plantain Chips* I would eat this with tahini sauce when I was on whole30. So tasty and a healthy snack. New finds: Cauliflower Gnocchi- can gnocchi be healthy? Slightly, with cauliflower: the millennial carb substitute. Woo. Hoo. Oh Trader Joe's...I adore this place. I have several that I go to, depending on if I'm near work or home. This is the place to stock up on cheese, snacks, and wine. I usually pick up some triple cream brie and several other cheeses for a weekend night. They have a nice cracker selection to complement any cheese. I enjoy exploring their new items from the Fearless Flyer. They make them easy to find with special signage. Ice cream and other dessert options are plentiful. The aisles are wider than the one on 20th street so you're not constantly in someone's way or vice versa. Super fresh salads and the flowers are beautiful! They last for over a week. It's peppermint season! Easily my favorite food hype of the year. And Trader Joe's does it big, you'll find peppermint everywhere. I stopped by on my way home from work and I never have trouble finding parking, night hours seems to be the way to go. I never grab a cart or basket which can be silly since I ended up grabbing a bunch of things on this trip. Their displays are dangerous; as soon as I walked in I saw assorted Joe-Joes and I had to get them. I also purchased their tin of popcorn, a gift pack of honey, various holiday flavored teas, a chocolate bar and some noodles. I'm sure I could've gotten more but my hands got full. They've got nice flowers and unique cards here as well, plenty of gift ideas. I've gotten vegan marshmallows here in the past as well as veggie burgers and all have been delicious. Though one time I bought salmon jerky and it was not my cup of tea. Love the variety, the prices, and the friendly staff here. TJ is a shining star. read more
