When I had issues with the bike these guys didn't hesitate to repair everything at no cost, including giving me a new set of cranks without me paying a dollar, and they have always been willing to put in extra effort to make sure you leave with satisfaction in your visit. With the first order I purchased was a custom wheel, it took a little while but I was patient being they laced up the wheel for me and helped me pick the right sizes of spokes and what not. With the second order, I purchased forks and two tires. Didn't receive a tracking for a few days called multiple times...I ordered on a Friday at around 12:30am...didn't hear about anything Monday or Tuesday so I decided to call. They were saying that I could receive the items the next day or Thursday at the latest. I still didn't get a tracking number by Wednesday so I called again, they said the order was delayed because they didn't have one of the tires in stock...then, I got a tracking number. The tracking number said arriving Friday...it is now Friday and I have received a package. I opened this package up and it's just the tires...WHERE ARE MY FORKS?!?! The package was delayed BECAUSE OF THE TIRE!!!! I should've received the forks FIRST! As this was a 1 of 2 package...the tracking number was not provided for the forks. I called and the guy said he'd provide the tracking number right away....two hours went by and still no tracking. I decided to call again and he was making excuses for not sending the tracking. The status still said the forks weren't even processed for shipping and I asked if he could accommodate me by replacing one of the tires with a different color because it turned out that the shade of green that this tire was was not to my liking. I was asking him to send out a different color tire with the forks and a return label so I could send him the green one back, this was a MAJOR problem for him as he was acting like I was going to rip him off. I had spent over $600 in the past two weeks as a first time customer and he wouldn't help me with the tire...that was how I was treated over a $30 part when I spent over $600. He was saying it was my fault for choosing economy shipping but I only chose that because another employee said it would make a difference even if I chose the $50 extra shipping....so they lost my potential as a frequent returning customer. I should've received the forks first because it wouldn't have been a big deal to grab a different tire. These forks are specific for my frame and were $50 less with albes but now I wish I would've just ordered from source/sparkys to spend that extra $50 for better service. June 21st is tomorrow and it was my goal to have this bike put together by then, but albes has failed me. I've spent the last month collecting all these parts separately for my complete custom bike. There's no reason for lack of communication or for an order to not even enter transit until a WHOLE week later. Source/sparkys and eBay will be my go to vendors from now on, as for albes is dead to me. read more

I've never left any kind of review in my life, but my recent horrible experience prompted me to do so. A few weeks ago, I ordered a pair of black SE Bozack tires with white walls. They were going on an absolutely stunning SE OM flyer worth more than $1500. When the tires arrived and I unboxed them, my immediate reaction was 'WTF, are you serious!!!' Each white wall of each tire was full of obvious and very visible blemishes, patches of discoloration, and abrasions. Though the tire was brand new because it had not been used, it was far from a first quality brand new tire. In other words, these tires would've NEVER been placed on a brand new SE bike that one would order or see in any local bike shop. So, I immediately called and spoke to whom I believe was JD. He seemed sympathetic to my situation, but informed me that I would have to send pictures or videos for reference. Of course I understood and happily complied. I took very detailed videos of each white wall highlighting the aforementioned, and then emailed them a little while after. Three and a half days went by without any kind of response. So on the fourth day, I arbitrarily called two very reputable bike shops who deal with a ton of SE bikes. I explained my situation to these shops and received confirmation that I had every right to be very upset. Both shops told me to call Albe's right away, which I then did. I spoke to the same individual I had reached via phone a few days earlier. Upon giving him my email address, he instantly knew of the situation. He stated that he had seen the videos. He stated that Albe's receives these tires directly from SE bikes. And last, he stated that these were actually the best looking pair in stock; all the other pairs were worse off. I explained my position: it's not the customer's problem that SE sends Albe's tires that look this way. I explained that since I had paid full price for brand new tires then I expected them to look absolutely brand new. I also explained the concept of first quality tires versus second quality tires, and that it was absolutely unacceptable to expect a customer to pay full price for what is considered to be a brand new (first quality) tire, only to receive one that is of second quality I demanded a full refund (including the initial shipping costs), and that I also expected to be covered for shipping them back. My opinion: these never should have been sold to me, or any other customer, without discounting the price and also explaining to the customer that they would be receiving tires that looked like this. Upon receiving my "full refund" a few days later, the initial shipping charge was not included. There are way too many independent BMX shops nationwide (who sell products online) to have to deal with all of this. I've had great luck with Carson City BMX, Dan's comp, Planet BMX, and City Grounds. read more

Just ordered my son his very first bmx bike from Albe's. The one I ordered originally was showing in stock at the time of purchase, but unfortunately a few days later I received an email notifying me that the bike I ordered was no longer in stock nor did their distributor have any. But they were very professional and courteous to send me other options that were in the same price range that they recommended I look at. So I ended up ordering a different bike with no hassle. The best part is I really couldn't beat the deal that Albe's provides with their amazing discounts. I just came back from being overseas for two years. The box I was gifted lay unopened and dusty for two years. Finally opened it- Got the bike all together- and I'm missing front axle bolts. Super difficult to get I guess because it's a 2018 GT Pro Performer. A helpful employee kindly said he could help me out - understood my situation and - I'm waiting on a part.... I think. I called back to confirm and a gentleman named Mark tried to help me, but after hearing the order was two years old he immediately replied "I'm not about to send out parts for a purchase two years ago"..... That I completely understand- but to assume I wanted something for free and be spoken to in the tone that he did was unacceptable. I was simply looking for help to locate this part - from a bike they sold to my friend and was gifted to me. I've been out of the country and was working.... I just wanted to be pointed in the right direction. I did not want to be treated like a beggar Mark. He asked me to call back on a later date so he could try to rectify the situation- I never bothered to because of his attitude. Mark is not very BMeXy.... Pretty decent little shop. They have a good variety of products in store but a much larger selection online. Wanted some new tires but they didn't have them in stock or at their warehouse. The dude at the counter set me up through their email service to let me know when they came back in stock. Definitely good service. Overall, this store and online shop offer great value, as to my knowledge, there aren't many stores in SE Michigan that offer much in the way of BMX. read more

My bike recently got stolen so I bought a new one from Albe's at first I was kind of skeptical because I wasn't sure if it was a fraud website just trying to make money by scamming people but I was wrong and my bike came on time without any damaging and there wasn't anything missing I really recommend buying from them you don't have to worry about paying for shipping if you are patient enough to wait a week they are a really cool bike shop and probably the place I am going to buy from for now on they even have it so you have to sign your signature for delivery I think that is better instead of just dropping it off like amazon increasing the risk of your package getting stolen If you are looking for a bike or bike parts definitely buy from Albe's bmx you won't ever regret it read more

First time I called the gentlemen who helped me was so helpful and even took the time to help me research my bike parts. He did a great job. He even said call back if you find out you need different specs. The second time I called on 6/17/2020, the two gentlemen who answered were rude and didn't take the time to really help. I could here them in the background saying, "just tell him we don't carry anything." However when I called prior the clerk said just call back once you find out for sure Albe's has multiple BMX parts. The staff here really know what customer service is all about. I ordered a bike for my son over the phone to have shipped to California and we had it in less than a week. However the seat and seat post were missing. I called Albe's, who informed me that was a first for them but would contact the manufacturer and have it sent directly to us since the manufacturer is in California as well. The guy from Albe's then called me back to inform me the manufacturer did not have any seats in stock but was assured they would send me a replacement seat immediately from their inventory. We had the seat in 2 days. My son is extremely happy with the bike and I'm very happy with the service that was provided. I will definitely be recommending and using Albe's for all our BMX needs. This place has all the shit you could need for your bike but there customer service is so trash it's ridiculous. Every time I walk in it takes 5 minutes for there lazy asses to get off there computers and confront me. It took them a week and a half to fix my hub and it's because they never have people working on the fucking bikes. The short owner is pretty cool and helpful but the dude with the long black hair and dirty beard is just a bitch. I'm being straight up. I honestly feel like he should be replaced because if he treats customers the ways I've experienced I can only imagine what it's like to work with him. The guys at Albe's are great on the phone and sound helpful, but one of the two bikes I bought from them came with a broken part. I asked for a replacement bike or for them to cover the bill at a bike shop to get it fixed. They didn't get the first email I sent them, and didn't offer to have the bike fixed. They did say they would replace the small part. I don't blame them for the first email. I often don't get mail either. I wish they were more interested in helping. Headache. I still recommend them to other folks at the skatepark, but with two stars, not five. read more

Ordered a complete bike on the 27th of dec. they processed the order and sent me an email on Monday the following day. 1-5 still no bike so I called Albes.. Order hadn't even been shipped. Albe's is a great BMX shop. They've got all the latest parts. They built a custom rear wheel for me with the brand new Odyssey Clutch freecoaster in just ONE DAY! General bike shops often quote up to one week to build a custom wheel. In just a matter of a couple days I was rolling backwards on my new freecoaster. Build quality was excellent and top notch.
