If I recall, there was another event planning service called Up & Out that has long gone but they had some major problems that led to apparently permanently closing the business from what I remember but cannot find any information about it anymore on the Internet.

If you want any chance of a seated viewing spot, again, arrive early, or prepare to stand in place & look up. Luckily, everyone has the same view. 2023 was magic, as the first time in a while Carl the Fog failed to appear. 90% of the people I met didn't have a clue how lucky they were this year because they didn't live here. I met folks from Fresno, Illinois, Columbia, Panama, Scotland, much etc. They were tourists who heard this was the place to be. And it was. The San Francisco flight was a bit dizzying but great and the T-Rex dinosaur experience was fully computer-generated but still a lot of fun. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and features immersive details like tilting seats and wind effects from fans. It would be nice if they also added mists when you fly over the ocean. It's wasn't too expensive I believe it was $15 for adults and $13 for kids. Its something different to do if the weather is not great.

The wind blows in your face, and when you were going over the water, you feel just a little bit of a spray. I don't want to give anything away, but it does take you all over the city. It was really a lot of fun. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because the flyer ride is a bit expensive. It's $14 per person, adult or child. That wasn't too bad for myself, but if you are more than two or three people, it can add up. Regardless, it was well worth the money for myself to do. The Blue & Gold Fleet staff were incredibly helpful and worked with us to figure everything out and get us onto the boat at the last minute. That customer service really made a difference. Once we got on board, we headed straight to the top deck so we could get the best views. Definitely bring a jacket because it gets pretty breezy out on the water, even if it's warm on land! The cruise took us underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way around Alcatraz, while giving us views of so many of San Francisco's iconic sights. It was such a great way to get introduced to the Bay and learn a little about the history of the area. The narration is done through an audio recording, and that was probably my biggest complaint. It was sometimes difficult to hear because there were so many people on the boat moving around, talking, and taking pictures. I found myself paying more attention to the views than the narration. But the views were absolutely worth it! I got some amazing photos, and being out on the water gave us a completely different perspective of San Francisco. For the price, I thought it was a great experience. It wasn't overly expensive, the staff was helpful, and it was such a fun and relaxing way to start our trip. If you're visiting San Francisco for the first time, I definitely recommend getting out on the Bay and seeing the city from the water!

A major pro tip is that while they tell you to arrive about 15 minutes early, you should definitely come 30 to 45 minutes early if you can because people start showing up early to snag all the great seating spots. Overall, the time on the boat was very comfortable, we got to see a lot of cool things, and they have some tour info that plays in the background. The only thing that saddened me was that there were no available trips to Alcatraz. I believe they only had one trip per day at 10am, and my group would have absolutely loved to go. I would probably look around to see if there are any other Alcatraz accessible boats next time, but if they added more time slots in the future, I would love to try them again. The boat also sells snacks to enjoy at a reasonable price and has restrooms you can use. Ultimately, I have no complaints other than the lack of Alcatraz trips.

We saw Coit tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, the place that I swear was Naboo in Star Wars, some random local know spot with an amazing view of the city, and drove through pretty much all the neighborhoods while Chad pointed out what he recommended we check out. The tour was about 3 hours long and came with bathroom stops at photo locations.
