Apparently, there are those people who love the way it is now as according to recent reviews on their website but I miss the chance of actually going to events. I do not want to participate on virtual events online, I want to actually go to events. If I recall, there was another event planning service called Up & Out that has long gone but they had some major problems that led to apparently permanently closing the business from what I remember but cannot find any information about it anymore on the Internet.

I went to see a ballet for free the other night. All I had to do was print something out online. My tickets were already arranged and I had great seats, without any worry about whether or not my tickets would work (like some other companies...). Thinking myself super clever, I drove over there at 7pm. I'm an idiot. You need to park somewhere close at noon, & spend the day walking around, eating, & shopping. Otherwise, total traffic jam. Forget Uber, it's still a car, & you'll still be stuck in traffic. Best bet is MUNI, but even then you'll be walking a bit. If you want any chance of a seated viewing spot, again, arrive early, or prepare to stand in place & look up. Luckily, everyone has the same view. 2023 was magic, as the first time in a while Carl the Fog failed to appear. 90% of the people I met didn't have a clue how lucky they were this year because they didn't live here. I met folks from Fresno, Illinois, Columbia, Panama, Scotland, much etc. They were tourists who heard this was the place to be. And it was. Everyone I spoke to was happy they came here, not one complained about our San Francisco "Doom Spiral".

It…read moreactually reminded us a lot of Disneyland's Soarin' Over California, but without the lines, we had the whole theater to ourselves, which is pretty amazing considering amount of tourists in SF. ​We ended up doing two rides over two days. The San Francisco flight was a bit dizzying but great and the T-Rex dinosaur experience was fully computer-generated but still a lot of fun. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and features immersive details like tilting seats and wind effects from fans. It would be nice if they also added mists when you fly over the ocean. It's wasn't too expensive I believe it was $15 for adults and $13 for kids. Its something different to do if the weather is not great.

I did the flyer ride. It is about a seven or eight minute ride, It was a lot of fun. It's one of those where you sit in the seats, and then the floor drops out from under you, and it is like you are flying over the city. The wind blows in your face, and when you were going over the water, you feel just a little bit of a spray. I don't want to give anything away, but it does take you all over the city. It was really a lot of fun. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because the flyer ride is a bit expensive. It's $14 per person, adult or child. That wasn't too bad for myself, but if you are more than two or three people, it can add up. Regardless, it was well worth the money for myself to do. I wouldn't come back to see the same movie, but if they changed it, I would ride it again.. This ride is also part of the "San Francisco city pass. I had fun.. Thanks!

My husband and I took our two sons who have never been on a boat before and they had a blast until one got sea sick! Fortunately their deckhand Quinn was there to help us through the whole ordeal and went above and beyond. I can tell he really care about the safety and wellbeing of each person riding and made our sons feel comfortable through the remainder of the cruise. We will definitely be back to bring more family on. Highly recommend going on the bay cruise if you are a first time boat rider and want a good history lesson of landmarks throughout the bay.

Luckily this time around we found parking less than half a mile away that was free as some street parking is free after 6pm. But you gotta give yourself a lot of time to circle the blocks and read signs! Especially for the Pay for Parking areas may or may not be allowed. We did end up getting food that night and it was a fried chicken sandwich and a fried chicken salad of which were basically the same except one had more slaw as the salad base and no bun. I would highly recommend not getting the salad if you're not good with vinegared slaw and/or slices of jalapeno that I could not see in the dark. Don't forget utensils and sauces before you enter if you end up eating at your seat as it is kind of hard to get in and out of the seats. It does get pretty steep at the top. This time round our seats were the second to last row in the second tier so we were basically in the furthest seats. Remember to get your earplugs from customer service as it's always good to protect your hearing. Otherwise, I don't prefer going here as parking is just super hard and paying $75 for the parking garage is insane. But when you get tickets to see a show you want, you just try your best.

This unbelievable collection spans everything from early 20th century fortune tellers and piano players to pinball tables and animatronic dioramas. Mechanical arcade games of every description, coin operated pianos, antique slot machines, animations, arm wrestling machines, my sweet Lord... they have everything. Did I play anything. Well, or course I did. I stuck to the old-time pinball machines and relived the satisfaction of using a flipper to perfectly smack that little silver ball way up into the guts of the machine to release a tsunami of bings and bongs and flashing lights. My grandkids (and this big kid) had a great time. PRO TIP You'll find the Musée Mécanique on Fisherman's Wharf at Pier 45 at the end of Taylor Street It's open 365 days a year with free admission And if you're a collector of those squished souvenir pennies, you're in luck because they must have six different machines here.

And Musee Mecanique was by far our favorite! The collection of (predominantly) antique and vintage arcade games is really impressive. Most cost 25 cents - 75 cents to play (meaning $5-$10 will take you pretty far here!) And they are each unique, quirky, and interesting. I'm looking forward to visiting again with my Dad and son...it's a great multigenerational activity. There are some newer games, too, if the vintage games don't catch your attention. Thanks for restoring, and sharing, this fun history with the masses. So special!
